  1. Tentative release date for Vol. 5: June 26, 2010.
  2. You can see that the fourth image (of the Macross The First Vol. 1 cover) was improperly reconstructed; see the misaligned seem along the hair across Minmay's back. The proper image was already posted in the Macross Ace thread: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=28719&view=findpost&p=839657 .
  3. Nope; all three were done by the same artist, which isn't me.
  4. If you're looking for confirmation, as Beltane70 said, it's his style and autograph sure enough, so it's more than likely that it's real. He's talented enough that it would be pretty hard to forge his work. You could try to check that it's not laser printed on or anything by checking that the marker strokes bled through the page, though I'm pretty sure already you have a real deal.
  5. That's certainly a great deal at ~$167 (reprint book & poster, and autograph, in NM condition). Of course, the sketch itself (or total package) wouldn't be anywhere near as valuable as the topic starter (which was an actual DYRL production genga piece, if I remember correctly), assuming this was at least partially the reason the question was asked.
  6. High resolution covers of Macross The First Vol. 1 and Macross Ace Vol. 4.
  7. The image of the cover is from HMV.co.jp and the publisher's page on the book is here: http://www.kadokawa.co.jp/mag/bk_detail.php?pcd=201001000519 .
  8. There's probably no use in worrying about the lack of preorder options right. Macross Ace listings have always been slow to appear, usually only a few days before its actual release (even on Amazon.co.jp). Now that they've actually decided it will be a quarterly, maybe listings will appear earlier; however, so far, this is par for the course (worrying included).
  9. Vol. 4 to be tentatively out March 26, 2010.
  10. I personally prefer this artist's take on Misa a little bit more.
  11. I've come across the following footage. Given the matching text from the screencap, it's quite possibly close to what's on the 超激アツ演出集 DVD. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KJTCJD2S (54MB)
  12. Get out of the forums sometimes, guys. From MW:Music:
  13. It's been around. There's even an official pencil board and telephone card featuring the image.
  14. Many of these are/were being auctioned off on Yahoo Japan auctions. They are contained within some sort of "Merry Christmas" packaging and are not unlike the the filmstrips packaged with the initial pressing of the Gold Book. However, since Macross Frontier was digitally done, these are probably the closest thing Frontier fans will be to owning a "cel" of the anime (besides maybe settei/genga). One particular nice filmstrip of Sheryl sold for over 30,000 yen (roughly 325 USD). A bit more information: these were apparently Christmas presents to those who watched the movie on Christmas day, hence the "Merry Christmas" packaging. (Details from the official site here.)
  15. That's because it's a different disc. What you have pictured is what is inside the one the clamshell case that is pictured below (as you can see from your picture), which Gubaba has already translated as the Promotion DVD. Tochiro already said he picked one of these up, so he may be able to tell us what's inside. There have been other promotional discs for the pachinko game, as well. However, the one that I listed earlier is the only one I've seen people will to shell out $30-40 standalone for. Perhaps Gubaba might be willing to translate the title of that DVD.
  16. Yes, it was. Bear with the Robotech and commerical, if you will (though you'll start right at the scene you want): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApjsuGBVeh4#t=11m35s . What surprised me is that the original pachinko Minmay artwork is the exact same dress, just a different color scheme. I'd reckon a lot us said, "Oh, Minmay in another polka dot dress! That's pretty," without realizing it was that polka dot dress.
  17. This 超激アツ演出集DVD is probably closer to what you're looking for. I've seen people willing to bid quite a bit for this disk, so it has to have something of worth on it.
  18. It appears Haruhiko Mikimoto is already welcoming 2010!
  19. Wow! I can't believe I missed that, and the winner of it got it for a great price. I would have loved to narrow the holes in my collection. Sadly, I'm no longer able to check the auctions as frequently as I did before, so rarities likely are going to slip past me even more. At least I've got a picture to go on now. Thanks for the info, akim!
  20. To save y'all a bit of digging around for the season ( from http://yuba.homeip.net/m/nicky.html ):
  21. You know, >EXO< already handled this before the two of you got into it.
  22. A little more on the rumor detail concerning Long's firing, with a possible alternate viewpoint ( http://rdfhqcommunicationscenter.yuku.com/...tml#reply-15341 ). I believe the guy who made that post was a former convention organizer, so maybe you were talking to him, Seto. Nonetheless, it's been over 10 years; Long has likely moved on considering his recent work listed on the Wikipedia page. But, yes, Long's artwork was apparently worth enough to steal and also official sell: http://rdfhqcommunicationscenter.yuku.com/...n-material.html | http://sdf5x.blogspot.com/2007/06/palladium-auctions.html Finally, a little bit more on Harmony Gold apparently not being very helpful in getting out RPG products: http://rdfhqcommunicationscenter.yuku.com/...the-RT-RPG.html
