  1. Does anyone have any idea how Seed 2 will be setup? Will they pull a ZZ GUndam and phase out the Seed main characters while leaving the old supporting characters and bringing in new main characters? Or will they just continue from where they left off?
  2. Are the games considered canon?
  3. Yeah, more than likely I'm too late. Anyway, I've learned that we're supposedly going to get our first look a her Ep III look sometime before the end of the year. I'm sure there's at least one or two posters here who find pregnant women hot. Damn the lack of puke emoticons!!
  4. In the US they were evenly matched.... in Japan the SNES was ahead simply because it had the largest number of RPGs and anime based games. Then what you are saying is that the GC is in fact the best console ever.... because OoT was a free game for it. B)
  5. Hell yeah! I LOVE the idea of earning some kind of status to get it. Sign me up for Spam Queen!! B)
  6. I would think not. The leader of the squadron gets the oh so shinny 001 on their wings.... so if Max was Skull leader, even if for 1 day.... he had 001 on his fighter.
  7. Yeah, no kidding. I still use my 64 for Goldeneye. For one.... every videogame has at least 1 good game. The N64 had Goldeneye (and a few others, but lets just keep it at that), the Lynx had Ninja Gaiden, the Pc Engine (Turbographs(sp)) had DraculaX: Rondo with blood. The Game Gear had Shinobi. The Jaguar had Alien Vs Predator. The Sega CD had the 2 Lunar games. The 3DO had the most faithful port of Super Street Fighter II X, and the best port of Samurai Spirits. The list goes on. Unless we are talking about several games.... a system cannot be bad based on the notion that 1 game makes it good.
  8. For whats worth.... the Esca movie is an alternate version of the TV series. The Gundam movies.... are simply compressed versions of the TV series, nothing to them, the TV is still regarded as more canon then the movies, because the story line is usually more complete, as not all facts were in the movie. But then again... to really get the canon, I would suggest you watch both the series and the movie. Now... if you mean Gundam Wing and Endless waltz.... thats a whole other issue. <_< LOL... this thread is tons of fun... most ppl here seem to be repeating themselves over and over again.
  9. Really? That's too bad. I'd always pictured him as a down-to-earth kind of guy, but I guess with one or two hits like "Moulin Rouge" under his belt he's developed something of an ego. I was under the impressions that Ewan did that because he really did not like the script and acting in front of a blue screen. Most Making Of fetures in the 2 DVDs said the crew had a blast working with him and that he was a really quick learner. I say good ridance. <_<
  10. Err... no. Super Mario World is better then most platformers we have today. Chrono Trigger is better then most RPGs we have today. Super Contra is better then most action shooters we have today. Zelda: A link to the past is better then most action adventures we have today. Unlike 3D graphics.... 2D graphics still hold their own now a days. Its not about nostalgia, I have owned every major console, with the exception of the Sega Mega Drive, and I can say.... the SNES is not about nostalgia... its fact, the SNES has better games then what we have today. I have a mint condition SNES that I play everyday. Very few PS2 games are as fun as Actriser, Super Adventure Island 2, Super Mario RPG, Super Mario World, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy IV, Yoshis Island, Earthbound.... the list goes on.
  11. Well, actually, the Lynx had a more powerful processor than the Game Gear and the Game Boy combined. Like the NEC TurboXPress, It had potential to be a great portable console, but it died due to a lack of software support. I know... but when a handheld eats through batterries in less then 2 hours, is big enough to be mistaken by a VCR, and gets hot enough to fry an egg (this is a fact) you know something is horribly wrong with it. <_<
  12. I know, I know. I'd go into it here, but that's kind of OT. Just believe me when I say that there's much better Eu out there than all of the NJO combined. I don't doubt it.... but untill I read some of it.... I will still love NJO.
  13. Its a mix of X and Megaman characters. Really Really funny.
  14. *looses a lot of respect for Abombz* I'm surprised you had any. B) I explained why I liked the series.... I have nothing to compare it to. <_<
  15. I don't think its so much as being cool to bash something.... but I think ppl bash FFVII simply because, gamers love to bash games that brought a genre into the casual gamer mind. FF7 did that... it brough RPGs to the masses. And while some might consider FF7 to be a casual gamer RPG.... I find the Materia system to be far too deep for the casual gamer. To be honest.... FF8 was the true embodiment of what RPG elitists hate about FF7. You had FMVs every 5 minutes, you had eye candy anywhere you went, extremely shallow characters, bad music, a clunky badly executed game system, the ever so lame time travel gimmick, the lack of equipments, spells now counted like items... I could go on for a while... and the same can be said about FFX too. As for the more adult frame of mind.... thats extremely debatable. FF7 characters were still SD, they still cracked jokes every so often, and you had Yuffie who was pretty much a comic relief character. The level of maturity of FF7 was the same as FF4, and none of its characters acted as clowns. If you still think so... do you care to quote or even point out where FF4 characters acted like clowns? Now... FF6 had nothing but comic relief characters. As for Vagrant Story.... it might have been released here, or it might have not. Vagrant Story was not an RPG... it was a genre of its own. The only thing that indicated that FF7 might have helped it be released in the US.... was that VS did extremely poorly in Japan. But then again.... Chrono Cross was raved by reviewers everywhere.... and it sold less then 50k units in the US. I don't think anyone here cares if you are impressed or not. <_<
  16. I love the NJO books.... specially that one that concentrated on Jacen after he was captured. THough... some of the deaths were useless and un necessary... such as Anakin and Ganner. And I'm glad they didn't decide to kill Saba Sabatyne in the end of Force Heretic 1. I hope they don't kill her period.
  17. What I can't forget about it was that it was once a Nintendo/Philips collaberation as a stopgap until Nintendo tries to finish its (then cancelled) CD add-on. This was a result of the decision when Nintendo breaks its collaberation with Sony for a CD-based system, which became the Sony Playstation. Did anyone remember (or forget) the Legend of Zelda games that was made for the CD-i? And I find the infomercials for this electronic monstrosity the most annoying way to promote it. Gah!! Don't remind of me of those blasphemies that were the CD-i Zelda games!!
  18. Not only that, it was totally unneccessary to make the 32x in the first place, since the Saturn can do the same and then some. One of Segas many bad decisions.... competing with itself. Oh.. and A7... you fogot the Atari Lynx.... now that was one heck of a craptastic paltform... almost as bad as the Game Gear.
  19. I noticed it right away because the legs on the GP01 were something I always found cool... because the other GUndam always had ugly legs. The GP01 had lean legs, the PG has standard Gundam legs.... start thin, and get fat as it approaches the feet. <_<
  20. Some of the game play screen shot show missile counters on the top part of the screen. One of them read something like 50 while the other reads something like 1000. I think the second one is for the gun pod while the other is for missiles... but I could be wrong.
  21. Ummm, they played all if Minmay's songs for the final battle in the tv series. The big end song was 'Love Drifts Away' and I don't see how anyone could hate that song yet still claim to like 'DYRL?'. Unless you mean Robotech's 'We Will Win', but I wouldn't expect you to make a mistake like that. Love Drifts Away and DYRL are 2 completly different songs... one sucking bad the other being awsome. 2 different songs... there fore one is allowed to hate one and love the other. I have never seen RT... so I don't know how bad the song you mentioned is.
  22. Thats what I'm complaining about.... they didn't go clearly with one or the other. Look at the Max 1A fighting DYRL Millia! Thats a mix of TV and DYRL... that shouldn't have been there. If they are going with DYRL style visuals.... change everything then. Why didn't they use a Elint instead of a cats eye in one of the screen shot? Honestly.... I think they are just trying to mess with us. <_<
  23. I know. But those were few and far between. Only 3 or 4 if I recall. As for KOTOR.... it looks amazing... but it falls short on just about everything. The graphics, in pro-scan really really look like a first generation PS2 game (lack of anti alising everywhere). THe story is alright, though a bit predictable. The AD&D really fits the game. The game play is nothing special. Some of the new D&D rules are annoying. Jedi not being able to use force powers using armors while the Sith can... is a load of bull. And the glitches!! OMG the glitches!! I still wonder how the heck that game made past testing phases. <_<
  24. THose 3 games you mentioned are done. FFT is out, FFX2 is out in a couple of months, and FFXI will be out next month. That is barely what I consider taking up resources. FFXII is already 70% done. The GC FF only needs localizing. Those barely take up enough resources to get Square busy. And besides... you forget Square could very well hire a studio to do the movie, they don't have to make it themselves.
  25. So they did all die... didn't they?
