  1. I think.... we only do it because we are used to franchise movies sucking. Look at Street Fighter! Look at Double Dragon! Its not like we bitch about them out no where. <_<
  2. I simply find it amazing.... that underage kids are always the first one to buy M rated games. Worst... they usually get them with their parents. <_<
  3. Yeah.... well.... when I first said it out loud.... I sprayed soda with my nose all over my keyboard.
  4. Funny... when they read "Mature content", "Graphic violence", "blood and gore" , and a big M with 17+ on the cover... they still get their kids the game. Now when crap happens.... the little black box is the first to be blamed. <_<
  5. For you? Yes... Vostok 7 Whats the heck is this supposed to mean? <_<
  6. LOL... wasn't he in love with Tenel Ka or something? And now.... Danni? WTF? I think he did right keeping the Dhuryam alive.... at least now he can play some tricks through the World Brain. lol... I could stop laughing when it "flushed the toilet" on the YVs sacred cerimony. And then the itch plague...... now thats what I call a loser race. Palleon:...... Empty!...... EMPTY!!......EMPTY!!!! And that not even counting the guy was sitting through the battle in a Bacta tank with special goggles on. The only thing that annoyed me about NJO was the whole Lord Nyax story... if you are going to make a super Jedi.... at least make him so he won't be killed by Tahiri. <_<
  7. bah!! Bad internet!!
  8. Isn't this exactly what some folks have been wanting for a long time? Sure as hell beats the other way around. =P I know. But my complaint was that BW and Bandai took the middle of the road.... leaning towards DYRL in one instance or leaning towards SDF in another. All I want I for them to make the game with all designs DYRL style... not mixed DYRL and SDF. Look at a sequence someone posted.... it has Max TV fighting Millia DYRL with DYRL SDF1 with SDF arms sitting on SDF Earth.
  9. I won't be saying it about the GameCube or anything else besides the SNES. That was, in my opinion, the golden age. Games have obviously come a long way since then... but only really in certain areas. Yes... specially GTA.... with its "one on one action". <_<
  10. Though..... the Xbox that doubles as a toilet was might handy.
  11. LOL. My only problem is that Jacen became the coolest character in Traitor.... only to become just another jedi loser right on the next book. When he took out those Yuuzhan Vong in the Nursery crap covered in Amphi Staves.... now that was kick ass!!
  12. I don't understand why some ppl hype the N-Gage. Is it really that cool to have a cell phone that plays games? That why I hate the pathway video-games are taking now a days.... I want a system that plays games, not a system that doubles as a microwave oven, swiss army knife, telephone, airplane and car. <_<
  13. Urban legend? How many people do you know who played a Virtual Boy for over 20 minutes and did not complain of a head ache, trouble focusing their eyes, or simply had a very hard time seeing afterwards? And wasn't Bonk the the named mascot of the TG-16? The Turbografx mascot was Bonk... the little sd bald headed pre-historic man. Oh wait.... it was hudsons mascot not NECs.
  14. Half of Lux's outfits are like that, while the other half are conservative stuff. Like all of the fanservice in Gundam SEED, I don't see a problem. While a peace activist, Lux is 1000x better than Relena and more good looking too. Anything is better looking then those ugly Wing character designs. <_<
  15. The princess/singer with the pink Haros is Lux Klein. And she's 1000x better than Relena. whats with the hentai dress? Isn't she showing a little more then she should?
  16. Frey is the crazy psychotic Katejina-wannabe. And she dies? Took them long enough. <_<
  17. While realistic ammo would be nice... it would also mean 1 hit kills for you and the enemies... now... how muhc fun is that? <_
  18. Just a question.... who is Flay? Is she the princess/singer with the pink Haros or is she the crazy psychotic Katejina wanna be that went nuts when her father was killed?
  19. For one... I don't hate or love FF7. I just find it to be a good game... and well worth my time. I have the PC version, and I play it every so often. I find the Materia system to be the best thing to ever grace an RPG since they decided to add "shelter" and "tent" like items. The side characters were good.... but the 2 main characters were seriously lacking. It was the first time in any FF that I actualy wanted Yuna and Tidus to die. And just to think that Square created a game centered around Yuna really left a sour after taste in my mouth. <_< Not only Auron and Wakka.... but Lulu was the best character design in any FF to date. You do not consider FF7 characters to be SD? How? They were exactly like every other FF character protrait untill that point. Heck... even FF6 characters were better portraited then FF7. The only instance where FF7 characters were accuratly portrait were during certain FMVs where they seemed to have everything in the right proportion. As for FF4... they had Pollon and Porom as comic relief... who did not stick around long enough. The main characters: Cecil, Rosa, Rydia, Cain and the ninja dude.... were as serious as most of the FF7 characters, not counting Barret, Yuffie and Cait Sith.
  20. Were you playing chronicles on a PS2? The save/load time was considerably reduced when I played it on my PS2 over my PS1. What did they mess up on Chronotrigger? I played and beat it when I had it on SNES, but I'm not recalling much difference... what did I miss? I'm talking about the low frame rate intro and cutscenes. The new intro theme can't even begin to compare to the old. <_<
  21. Err... no. Super Mario World is better then most platformers we have today. Chrono Trigger is better then most RPGs we have today. Super Contra is better then most action shooters we have today. Zelda: A link to the past is better then most action adventures we have today. Unlike 3D graphics.... 2D graphics still hold their own now a days. Its not about nostalgia, I have owned every major console, with the exception of the Sega Mega Drive, and I can say.... the SNES is not about nostalgia... its fact, the SNES has better games then what we have today. I have a mint condition SNES that I play everyday. Very few PS2 games are as fun as Actriser, Super Adventure Island 2, Super Mario RPG, Super Mario World, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy IV, Yoshis Island, Earthbound.... the list goes on. I tried playing Super Contra yesterday, and it wasn't really as fun as I remember. And Actraiser was never fun. Zelda, Mario, and Chrono Trigger are indeed still fun... but Mario and Zelda you can play on the GBA, and CT on the PlayStation. Why not pick one of those instead of the SNES? In fact, aside from Battletoads and Double Dragon, TMNT: Turtles in Time, and the Megaman games, you named all the SNES games that are still fun today. Actraiser was never fun? Do you have any idea what you are saying? Have you played it extensively enough? Actraiser was one of the gems of 16bit gaming... I still can't believe it was almost a launch title. Too bad Enix has lost criativity. Super Contra is better then Contra: Shattered Soldiers for the PS2, and then 2 blasphemies that shall not be named for the PSX. Have you played CT for the PSX? If you indeed have... you should be aware enough to not even mention it. No matter if they are ports... truth is... they are still SNES games. It doesn't matter if you are emulating the game on a PC or playing a port... its a SNES game period, the fact that you can play the game on a different system doesn't change where it came from. Err... no... I can name quite a few more fun SNES games if you want. Tales of Phantasia, Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 (the 3rd one.... Nintendo wasn't even trying anymore), the SNES version of TMNT: Tournament Fighters, Secret of Evermore, the 2 Seiken Densetsu (Secret of Mana), Terranigma, FF5 and 6, the several Dragon Quest games, the 2 Breath of Fire games, Weapon Masters (or whatever they were called), Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie, Front Mission, Assault Suits Valken (known as Cybernator in the US), Metal Warrior, the original Star Fox, F-Zero, Mario Kart, Super Star Wars (ANH only).... do I really need to go on? <_< And IMO.... I much rather play Zelda on the SNES, then play the GBA version with the little annoying grunts everytime I have to use the sword. <_<
  22. But you got to admit... some EU are much better then Lucas prequels. <_<
  23. Leave it to the resident Megaman guru to identify everyone. And leave it to the other resident to point out where each one of them was featured. Megaman and Rush doesn't need introductions.(Megaman) Roll: Megamans sister. Initially... their names were a play on words: Rock & Roll(Megaman) Auto: Robot helper that was featured in Megaman 7 and would built powerups to Megaman. Bass: Started showing up in Megaman 7... he was an angry nemesis like robot. Protoman: The enemy with the catchy little theme song in Megaman 3.... Megamans brother. X and Zero are the protagonists of Megaman X. Dynamo is a cowboy like dude who shows up in Megaman X 5. He is much like Protoman and Bass were... show up just to play around, but you never got around to really beating them. SIgnas, Alia and Doublas: 3 robots that showed up on Megaman X 5 the first time.... and serve as X and Zeros advisers. Double: enemy disguised as friend in Megaman X4. You fight him if you chose to play as X in the beginning of the game. Iris: Zeros girlfriend wanna be. Turns evil once you beat the initial 8 bosses. You fight her in Megaman X4 if you chose to play the game as Zero.
  24. Yeah, no kidding. I still use my 64 for Goldeneye. For one.... every videogame has at least 1 good game. The N64 had Goldeneye (and a few others, but lets just keep it at that), the Lynx had Ninja Gaiden, the Pc Engine (Turbographs(sp)) had DraculaX: Rondo with blood. The Game Gear had Shinobi. The Jaguar had Alien Vs Predator. The Sega CD had the 2 Lunar games. The 3DO had the most faithful port of Super Street Fighter II X, and the best port of Samurai Spirits. The list goes on. Unless we are talking about several games.... a system cannot be bad based on the notion that 1 game makes it good. What's the CD-i's good game? Not that funky Zelda game... Congratulation..... you just figured out what the real bad console was.
  25. Some of them are suppose to be. Dark Forces, Jedi Knight games(not sure about Jedi Acadmey since you aren't playing as Kyle(character in Dark Forces, DF2(jedi knight), Jk:outcast) but yourself), Starfighter, Jedi Starfighter, Shadows of the Empire(N64) are suppose to be apart of the post and prequel EU. The novels refer to the events and characters several times, some of them even have novel versions themselves. Not really sure about the Rogue Squadron games. They are basicly remakes previous one(I think) I believe some of the events in them are part of the EU. Like Wedge taking over command of the squadron when Luke is shot down on Hoth, etc. The Clone Wars might also be part of the canon as well but I haven't played it yet to know its storyline, same goes with Bounty Hunter. I know Dash Rendar is mentioned several times and actually shows up in X-Wing Alliance. But I wasn't talking about EU.. I was talking about Lucas canon. I know all Dark Forces games are not even EU canon... as they don't even show up in the time line list in several SW books.
