Its not strange at all. Bandai simply doesn't want to step in a fight that is not theirs, wasting money on what could be otherwise used on a new show.

Oddly enough many hentai artists stop doing hentai (at least temporary) when they start doing non-hentai work to be consider legitimate artists. The oposite can also happen. Many serious anime artists do hentai art work too. I guess its considered hobby or something.... maybe its healthy to dischage those kind of ideas once every so often. <_<

Sounds like he has been reading too many Alien comics... and thats not a bad thing. Perhaps this way we could bump Alien 3 and Resurection out of the continuity. Why does this actually sound... like a good Alien movie? For once? How the hell do these other directors/writers get jobs? They just end up pissing on great franchises, showing no respect for the previous works... all while pushing their (rather lame) "artistic" visions. Is it so hard to understand that we don't want to see good characters killed off for no reason... That we don't want to watch a bald Weaver for 2 hours... That we don't want to see a nasty, gooey man/ape/alien hybrid and some dumb mother complex it has with Ripley... That we want to see a decent movie worthy of the name? -Al You just don't get it! Hollywood and good ideas are oxymorons. <_<

Odd.... all my dictionaries list tatsu as "stand" or "be built", and Ryu as dragon. But Tatsu no ko means "child of *insert whatever tatsu means here*"

Nope. I was shown a design book of his.... it had mostly half naked girls, with overly augmented body parts and tons of cybernetic stuff that seem to be there just to maintain the scifi tone. If theres stuff that goes beyond that.... ugh. <_<

He did that on several other series too. And he wasn't exactly the only one to do that.

You mean Seaquest? At least they seem to be wanting to keep the japanese mythos intact instead of turning this in yet another teen urban legend movie. <_<
