  2. While I'm ordinarily all about space winnebagos/RVs (love my SOC Xabungle, Ideon, and Daimos), I'm not as much a fan when they aren't actually part of the robot mode. Trailers don't get space on my shelf - I simply don't have room, so if they're going to live in the box in a closet anyway, I don't mind missing out on them. Hopefully Hasbro doesn't turn their release a horrifying "cartoony" pastel red or anything, though, like they did with the last release of MP Optimus.

    SCOOP thread!

The 1/3000 SDF-1 has a price and some pictures. http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/iam-cybergundam/article?mid=55810
  4. Here you go, then. http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/iam-cybergundam/article?mid=55810 $400.
  5. No way. History has shown how simple it is, after all!
  6. I had a hell of a time getting my car in a manual when I was car shopping after a run-in with a Ford F450. A dealer had to get a car driven over from another dealer in a neighboring state just to find me one. It was a bit ludicrous.
  7. If the previous kits are any indication, between 1500 and 2000 yen. There's no actual announcement date (other than 2011) so the price hasn't been set yet. The other D-style kits are nice and pretty cheap, though small. Some parts come pre-painted.
  8. It's all plastic. It's basically a slightly-larger and more expensive Robot Damashii with worse QC. Frankly, I hate mine. It spent about 10 minutes out of the box before going right back in. The paint quality is questionable, bits fall off, joint tightness is all over the place, there's nasty sprue cut scars all over the guns, and the hands are on soft rubber ball joints that make me nervous pulling them on and off.
  9. Then that's truly unfortunate. I'm sorry. You'd better contact a third party dealer and open a new bank loan.
  10. Oh god yes. Been waiting for this for ... I dunno... 10? 15 years?
  11. More Gunbuster merch! D-style model kit from Kotobukiya. Cute. It'll make a nice companion to my older Banpresto diecast version
  12. Nice. 1/6th scale weapons, I assume? I was also happy to note when I got my 1/24 Ingram that the loosest part of the joint was actually the ratchet joint (so don't shake the patlabor ) - the ball joints are super tight. I even had the "fix" guide printed out off the Yamato site and everything.
  13. Yes, I don't have any pictures handy, but the MP Seekers are actually larger than the 1/60 V2 Valkyries in Jet mode, while being shorter in robot mode.
  14. Probably the only figure with less representation in models and toys is the Phantom, which is a pity, because it's a really cool design . I'd love for CM's to make one, even if it was part of their crappy, break-when-you-try-to-move-it plastic labor line .
  15. I hope someone picks up the OVA release rights in North America . The original OVA's are the only Patlabor I don't own on DVD and the aftermarket prices are, for lack of a better word, criminal.
  16. I have no idea what you're talking about...
  17. I think, considering the concerns many have, this picture is worth pointing out: look ma, no stand!
  18. You could say ... he decides she's not cut out to be his wife. It's a pretty dicey situation overall, but it does a shockingly good job of demonstrating Idi's got the chops to be a real villain. Puns aside, what makes it much worse is that it's pretty much what actually happened to her in real life
  19. [inflammatory and hypercritical response harping on my hatred of a particular aspect of toy X]
  20. Harping is a two way street, mon frere . None of the things you mentioned (with the exception of the exclusive accessories, which are not mail aways) afflict my own DXes in a concernable manner, though. Perhaps you should take a deep breath and not stress yourself out over so much hyperbole? As for the rage over the Yamato exclusives... that's a bit unrelated again to this thread, isn't it? Why bring it up? Frankly that rage doesn't seem that deserved to me either, but you can't reasonably compare a $400 build-it-yourself resin kit to a $100 accessory package anyway. Everyone seems to want to come back to a "Yeah well SO AND SO company did SUCH AND SUCH" on both sides of things. If a Yamato breaks, then the Bandai toys need to be held accountable too. If the Bandai DXes break, then goddamn it if the Yamato's don't suck more! We're all searching for something to hate about the other company's products and we all apparently have a need to rub it in and blow it up as much as possible. I mentioned my VF-1A being broken in the previous post, but guess what? It's broken but I still love it. Fancy that! Why can't we all get along in our general hatred of everything Macross related? That's what the forums are for, right? On-topic. I am more disappointed in the lack of a DX VF-177 than anything else related to this line. Any thoughts, anybody?
