  1. Well the supervision army is an old adversary of the Zent. So they have faced them before no biggy, mind you it would be neat. Plus in M7 you had the Vartua who are to the UN/NUN like the supervision army were to the PC/Zent.

You have to consider escalation on both sides too... soon the NUN will be able to move about the Galaxy as though the whole thing was in Earth's back yard with the new fold drives and such. Maybe its time to do a mad chase across the Galaxy or a civil war perhaps. Its pretty clear statement Having Battle Galaxy show up that human society is falling apart again. People are so separated that while they consider themselves humans they are not all Terrans.

Maybe Grace should have succeeded at least it would have truly unified human kind for once, well after all the non cyborgs were killed off. So wait does that mean that all M-galaxy civilians are now in slave mode like Brera, If so scary... How bout this for an enemy, a million VF-27s with internal fold quartz boosters... That would be a force of nature on a galactic scale

See this why putting up a post is a good thing and you get to see what others are thinking as well. Gives me a better idea of what the super vision army sort of was, is a there a GOOD copy of Macross 7 subtitled? I need to watch that one!!

If there were a million VF-27's running loose with the same cannon Brera had or stronger, I'd put up the white flag for surrender, That's a tough fighter to go up against!!! Even the SMS pilots with their VF-25 could barely take them on. But Bullet101 has a good point too, Civil War between the UN SPACY, it could work. But human vs. Human, could that fit in with the modern realm of Macross?? Since we it all originally started with the Anti-unification wars, pre-Space war 1.

  2. Since we're talking about future Macross villains for what ever possible series may come about. And mind you macross 7 is the only one I really never watched, couldn't find a descent subbed version. So maybe I missed something....

What about the Supervision Army? Have they ever been exposed or seen in action...ever? Are they still active, still a menace? Or are they extinct and long gone. I just figure that we've well covered Zentradi/Meltrandi forces, The Vajra and the Birdman quite a bit, AI controlled idols & ghost fighters as well as the Marduk (That's from Macross II which no one ever seems to care about). So I figure why not the super Vision Army.

Seriously, why not? How bad an idea could it be?

  3. hehe am surprised that ppl can have a debate over this ;) all you guys must going thru hell with the indecision on the love triangle

More than anything, my initial comment was just it was cool how Alto saluted in his VF-25 like Hikaru Ichijo did in DYRL. It looked to me like it was to both girls & everyone else. But yeah a debate over this has gone way too far!!! Lets just enjoy the moment!!! B))

  4. WOW!!!!! What an ending!!! What a finale!! I admit it was a little rushed in some ways, but exciting non the less!! All our characters make it safely, Leon's ass get busted!! Grace gets blasted into space dust, Rankas brother gets his mind back and helps Alto!! The Vajra help out The Frontier fleet. One of the best macross series (TV, OVA's & Movies) so far, only the the original TV series still holds #1 for me. But this one definitely gets a 9 out of 10 rating!! :)

And the Monster at the end that Grace was in, Was that basically what the Birdman was or some sort?? Either way awesome!!

Go to www.veoh.com to see some descent downloads, doesn't get as much use as other sites, you should be able to see it just fine there!!!

  5. Technical or not, Still looks just like a SDF-1 to me. The point is it would explain why in Macross II they have a SDF-1 type, look a like ship. Say what you want, its still a Macross designed ship. You, me, everyone's thought in M Frontier was, how the hell did the SDF-1 get out here.... "Oh I see, they built other ships of the same design."

Also I know what the Megaroad ships are, wasn't talking about those. B))

The initial debate was how in Mac II world could there be a SDF-1. what I wrote was my imagination at work & thought on it.

Not based on a time line, no one seems to agree with.

  6. Get this young lady some digital recording equipment and a ticket to Hollywood!!!

Seriously, I have been watching Macross DYRL since I got a bootleg in 1984, I have 7 different CD's with this song & I have always heard it in Japanese. This is a 1st in English. I have to say even with some of the lyric changes, which worked out great, its a wonderful performance!! :)

  7. Mac II cannot be placed into the Nue continuity without some primary changes to it's chronolgy & story.

    Mac II:

    - Could not take place on Earth.

    - Could not realistically take place 80 years after SW1

    - Would need an explanation as to why this world has no contact with the Galaxy Network (hence the need to develop their own mecha and capital ships).

    - Could not have the original SDF-1 as it's Macross battleship

Unless these changes are implemented, the show is not compatible with the Nue universe.

    For MACROSS II to work:

-Its not Earth, its a new Colony planet. Called Magoniss

-Could easily take place 80 years later. ANIME...anythings possible with some imagination!!!

-Explanation....?? Macross?? How about lots of flashbacks. Seriously. Members of Macross II are a super deep space colony with few ties with any other UN SPACY affiliates due to decades of hostile wars, tremendous losses. They are all thats really left in there zone of the universe.

-Its the Macross II "Constellation". Hell in Mac Frontier we see the SDF-4 GLOBAL. (So we know there at least 4 SDF-1 type ships made.

-Music is still a viable weapon on both sides. Just like the Vajra, the Marduk get freaked by humans singing, but have their own music acceptance and music defense.

There, now we can make some sense of Macross II and stop treating it like "A drunk chick at a party" or a "Prom night dumpster baby"!!!

  8. So a single-seater version of the VF-0D, I love the concept!! Just ordered my new 1/72 VF-0B & 0D from HLJ.com last week, can wait to get those in.

And to Major Focker, I have a feeling there will be a release soon of the VF-0A, both the Low visibility VF-1A & VF-0B 1/72 are both in release modes. Oct is the due date for the VF-1A. So I'll put a wager on the VF-0A to come back out soon too!!!

  9. Doesn't have to be Yamato, Bandai could still do one. And if it sucks, they could come back and do a version 2, like Yamato did for the 1/60 VF-1 and the Macross Plus toys, or like Bandai has done with the Saint Seiya toys. And if it takes twenty years for a good one to be released, so be it. It took almost twenty years for a really good VF-1 to be released.

I just hope Bandai doesn't pull another Macross 7 on us by giving us a few things, cancelling the rest, then sitting on the license.

Its a kind of a good point to say if Bandai doesn't get it right the 1st time, there's always Version 2. However, so far though Bandai is not winning anyone over with their 1/60 DX VF-25 design so far. At least the original 1/60 & Mac + Yamato's looked good from day one and were passable, they must have been, we all own a handful at least. And Yamato has only gotten better over time (QC is another topic).

But will wait & see how Bandai does, Maybe when the VF-25 release's it will be better than we thought/hoped. And a VF-171 in all Variants will come out as well. And very true about Bandai & its licensing follies, if they have the Copyrights, then use & abuse them for their toy building ways!!

  10. "Variety hobby TIME"

    Teruya 3-3-4 Okinawa-city, JAPAN

    shop05.jpg

    shop01.jpg

    shop03.jpg

(Macross model many! new boxart VF-1D ,VF-2 "SONIC-BIRDS" special VF-1A etc.

But September 4 present time list, if anyone who buy them and sold-out is sorry!)

Now that looks like a Hobby Shop to me, Wish we some like that here!!! Everytime I go to a Hobby shop whether here in KS, MO or when I lived in Los Angeles, they are always dark, dank, under stocked and no variety.....Rude as hell service too!!!

I'll bet these shops have every type of Anime model, Car, bike & aircraft kit you could want with service & a smile to match!!!

To just walk in and by a brand new Macross Kit, that would make my day!!! :)

  12. The instruction is in japanese but the diagram is quite easy to understand, it just I'm not very familiar with it (different with standard gunpla instruction). Also keep in mind that I write the review at 3:00 am in the morning

The last Bandai Kit i ever had was the VF-2SS and a few Gundam F-91 kits, do they assemble in the same fashion, or is this more like the Hasegawa Macross Zero kits, lots of glue, putty serious patience!!??

Thought I would ask since you actually have one now. Show us some pics when you have it painted!!! :)

  13. The only way is to make the tail fin hollow and have a door on one side that opens up and allows the tip to fold inside it. :D

    Diecast hollow tailfin.

hey 1/1 LowViz, thats actually not to bad an idea. Though one way or the other this is all speculation on how it will actually look OR function. But The tail fin definitely seems to be a prime concern of most Macross fans.

  14. Ok here is some definite proof Yamato can maintain the proper look, dimensions & line art of the VF-11B and still have it transform properly. Not sure if anyone else posted these pictures, but here goes.

This is of the STUDIO HALF-EYE VF-11B resin kit. Fully transformable. And if you are seeing what I am seeing, Between the feet, landing gear & Tails, it can be done!!

  15. Can anyone pls tell me which version of toys or models will come with the full armor. I am only interested in OZMA's plane, but it full armor. It can even be only batroid mode, but would obviously preffer transforming (toy or model, but toy preffered). Pls, tell me, is anyone making it, and when, what size, etc...

No signs of Armor or fast packs yet that I have seen.... hopefully soon!!

  16. Agreed, it does look like about where Yamato was 9 years ago in terms of design aesthetic.

Oh well, at least it will probably be durable if nothing else.

What we really need is Yamato and Bandai to team up. Yamato to actually design the toys and Bandai to produce them and be responsible for the QC.

That way, we'd get a beautiful and durable toy.

    Graham

We should live so long to see that happen. Would be awesome though!!!
