  1. Or you can get the Gundam 1/100 scale stands as well, There are pics here on MW that show them holding ALL scales sizes of Yamato Valk's. I have these stands for my 1/72 scale models and they work perfectly!! Plus they are cheap.

However if you can wait till October 08, The store Lost & Founds toys will have there Flexi-stands back in, those are really cool and work the BEST!!!

  2. Do you even need to ask?

Of course the answer is yes.

However, I reckon It's unlikely that Bandai will make one in 1/60 scale though.

At least we are getting one in 1/100 scale. Hopefully Bandai will release all three variants: VF-171, RVF-171 and VF-171EX.

    Graham

Do you think they will try the 1/100 scale 1st to see if it sells well, Or the VF-25's in 1/60 are all we'll see for now??

But all 3 variants would be awesome!!!

  3. so the VF-OS is coming out with a re-issue either this month or next's? positive? hmm, may have to wait a while before I go about with the one I sort of reserved...

    interesting

I just saw today on Hobby Link Japan (www.hlj.com) That it is a upcoming release/item for sale. No mention of improved parts, and does not show the Ghost unit. but definitely a re-release.

  4. The VF-171 as seen in Macross Frontier. If Bandai were to make one in 1/60 scale, would you consider buying one?? And that is a given that the VF-25 is a well made, quality item. The more I see this Fighter in the Macross Frontier series, the more I really like it, as I was never a fan of the VF-17 in M7.

Hope you guys don't mind, yet I didn't see any other threads specifying this topic, SO I thought I would see what peoples opinions are. B))

  5. And of course back in the day, Arii released a couple of plastic models of the Zentraedi cucumber ships.

    Graham

I used to have at 3 of each of the Arii Zentraedi battle ships, But for what ever reason they never got build and were lost when when I moved from home years ago!!! Wish i still had them...... :(

  6. Bump!

I just replaced some pics for better ones in the first page. Note the difference in this example:

    Old one:

    New one: :D

    dsc0582redimensionarhv2.jpg

New photos were token with a Nikon D40 Camera. B))

Old photos was token with a Sony DSC-P93 Camera.

PD: Dragon is in the Hangar, that's why I didn't take pictures to it.

Now this is an amazing work of art & modeling skills, looks like that VF-1J could walk off the screen and shoot some battle pods down!! Awesome collection friend!!! Keep up the great work!!! :)

  7. Ok, just a thought.

If it's true that "luck" is a skill, as isamu said, then who is the most skilled pilot when it comes to "luck"?

I think in this regard, Hikaru is at the top. way way up top. observe:

    Hikaru:

    - gets into a full blown aerial battle with no previous traning, and doesn't die.

    - runs into friendly fire (off-timed daedelus attack) and comes out of it with a mere concussion

    - was INSIDE a zentraedi ship when it was PWNED by the daedelus attack and manages to get away

    - blasted with several warheads during his face-off with the 3 spies (during miss macross) and lives to attack

    - gets stuck in a self-destructing zentraedi vessel (same episode) and is merely knocked unconscious

    - goes toe to toe with a pissed-off britai and lives to tell the tale

    - again, gets a full-on hit from a couple of warheads during SW1, and ends up alive and in earth orbit (and just in time to save his future wife)

man, you just can't KILL the guy!

I was gonna say a few good things about Hikaru, but you put best!! Max & Roy were Legends, But Ichijo was truly a lucky bad ass!! :p

  8. Well whether or Not the F-14D's we see in Macross Zero were upgraded or not with some type of Over-technology, there performance in the OVA is amazing, I've been watching Macross since 1985 on bad bootlegged VHS tapes, till now with the best of DVD's, looking forward to Zero on Blue-ray disc soon!!!

Either way the dogfight scenes are amazing, like others have said & I couldn't agree more, every time you see the opening F-14D dogfight sequence too Ivanov & Focker dueling it out, it just blows your mind how far Macross has come in both innovation and photography!! That is the real amazement!!

As far as Macross Zero goes, though old school, Max & Milia from DYRL over the Alien city, another ultimate Dog fight in my book!!! Unlike the other dog fights where they end in a draw or a close call, Max said hell no, your going down!!!!!!! , nearly killed his future wife!!!

  9. If the 1/100 VF-2SS toy looks good and comes with the SAP, I'm buying a whole squadron. I don't care how much parts swapping is involved. I've been waiting for a decent VF-2SS w/SAP toy since 1992.

    Graham

I hope they make the VF-2SS and detail it as much as they can!!! I'll match your squadron plus 5 more!!! Been waiting for years for someone to make an actual TOY version!!! I can live if its a parts swapper, as long as its sturdy!! B))

  10. No loose legs with my Shin at all, tight. Only thing they needed to fix with the legs is how the backpack locked to the legs in fighter mode. (it doesn't lock properly at

all). Anyone else have the backpack fighter mode locking problem or is it just mine?

Hey ruskiiVFaussie, yeah, my VF-0A is the same way, not best in design for how it is suppose to lock in place, comes loose alot. So you're definitely not the only one.

  11. Well, Macross Zero was excellent (for me at least), but it was Frontier what made me watch the 36 episodes of the original SDF Macross in Youtube (God bless the internet) a few months ago...

I can't wait to see some Macross F merchandise (toys!!!)... ^_^

That's awesome to hear, that even though you started watching the newer Macross series, you went back to to see how it ALL started with the original TV series!!! And yes Macross Zero was great!!!!

  12. knock on wood, I got really lucky with my VF-0A, but I would still rather wait for the newest versions to come out, if they do with all new QC. For what the Zero series costs, Yamato better make some serious improvements!!!
