  1. Let it be said though I have had no serious injuries on my Valk's, mostly the older Yamato 1/60's & Macross plus items. Though QC for my older YF-21 & VF-11 both required many repairs. And of course my VF-0A had a shoulder issue..... But my (5) 1/48 VF-1's are like ass kicking tanks, drop them, display them and even transform them, and yes I am formerly from Los Angeles where a few shakers did knock them over, but they bounced right back!! Even Miria's 1/60 Powersuit is indestructible!! B))

The 1/48 is still the superior YAMATO Valkyrie and to Jenius & Edwin3060 you two are lucky your VF-11's never broke!!

  2. So far no signs of pricing or even a prototype picture yet, other than the poster. However wishful thinking, I doubt we'll see it priced at $50.00. Like all other Macross related toys, $95.00 and up for something like this.

But hey maybe I'm wrong, I'd love to see it cheaper. But its all speculation at this point. We'll have to wait for further details to emerge!! Graham if you get any pictures of this Macross Quarter, please don't be shy to share it with us!!! B))

  3. I just can not accept that it is going to be 20cm. That is just too small. I am still hoping that they will change their mind on that and make it more like 40cm - 50cm tall in battroid mode. Otherwise I may have to pass like I did with the WAVE SDF-1 which i think is absolutely gorgeous (both versions) but just too small and too expensive. And by "too" I mean that it crosses the threshold of willingness to buy for me personally (just to aviod more economics debates).

    Edit for spelling.

I got most of my info from 2 sites & the guys at CollectionDX and they seem to be pretty accurate on their info. So though I wish it would be by far larger, sounds like its 20cm for now.

It sometimes seems as if none of the new toy designers for either Bandai, Yamato or others ever grew up with the old school & LARGE SDF-1. (My 2 SDF-1's came from Toys R us in 1985-86) If they did, making tiny little battle ships would never cross their minds, especially for the price tags!! But thats my thought....

  4. Progressing slowly! In anycase, here's where I'm up to. Just about all decals I will use are on. I assembled a few pieces temporarily for this. You can see in the first picture, I thinned the Tamiya hand-painted acrylic too much and it cracked in the drying on the grey intake areas. Still, it will be an easy fix and I will let it dry for a day before I give it the final clear coat prior to a light wash, where the recessed panels, etc will pop out a bit. I haven'tcolour corrected any of these... the blue/grey colour seems to vary dramatically, depending on the light and angle to the camera.

Grimmace, I would love to see yours, you should post pics.

    Thanks for looking!

Absolutely amazing PetarB!! My favorite (and under appreciated by most) Valkyrie of all time!! This will be amazing when your finished. Will you be leaving this as an "In flight" mode or with the landing gear down?

  5. But not strike packs!! :p

It's been awhile since I watched DYRL so forgive me.

    Vostok 7

I'll give you that, there are no shots of a CF with strike parts!! ;) But still the pics of the CF VF-1A with double mounted Strike cannons looks bad ass!!!

Your homework tonight is to watch DYRL again!!! :p

  6. So does anyone actually have one of these new V.2 VF-0S fighter in their procession to see if whether or not its truly been fixed, or just the same old defect.... I'd like to have a Roy VF-0S, but watching the arm shatter again would kill me (and my wallet).

  7. That's a nice thought, but I doubt it. Why would they sell the CFs with parts they were never seen having? I mean, it would be awesome and all, but still...

    Vostok 7

The scene in DYRL when Minmay & Hikaru are floating on the observation deck, before the final battle. That's a VF-1A Cannon Fodder behind them with Fast packs. Not the best picture, buts its a brown CF.

  8. That was my thought on a 1/48 scale MONSTER, you would need a forklift to pick it up!!! As for Yamato's next move a 1/2000 or 3000 scale sized SDF-1 or enemy mecha, its long over due!!
