  1. As i mentioned in the mecha pose thread (check out my pics! :-P) she (the VF-0S re-issue/re-vision/v.2) is super TIGHT.

She has tightness all over, and even the legs lock up properly in fighter mode (something my Shin 0A does not)

and even when pushing the cockpit/neck back up for Battroid mode it was extremely tough, had me thinking if i pressed any harder

it would break something LOL. So yeah , go ahead and get one of these, don't know if you can tell (besides obvious extra padding

whilst packaged up (Javabean posted pics of this, mines exactly the same), we both got ours from Overdrive.

They were the ones that gave us the heads up stating this release was reworked better for the arms/shoulders.

Get one! It's perfect just like both of my YF-21 1/60's...

I'm not sure about the arms being a new design, as i didnt' have time to break out Shin over the weekend. Someone else confirm?

Thanks man, I appreciate the info, So many threads to read I loose track :p

Well its time to save up some $$$$, A VF-0s, Beagle ride-armor, to many goodies to buy!!! B))

  2. Thanks for all the kind words everybody

Well finally finish. Only thing I had a rough time finding a way to glue it to the steel rod, finally I found a glue that works, I used epoxy glue, works great!! Sorry for bad pics I'll post better ones later.

Super bad ass!! Hikaru never looked better! Great Job DrunkenMaster2!! B))

  3. yes and i also would prefer a zentradi uniform instead of missile racks.

Blasphemy, nah just kidding!! :p But maybe they would consider offering it as an accessories kit for Max. His Zentradi coat & the missile racks!! B))

  4. Stick is ready to roll out and kick some ass! The more I handle this piece the more I love it. I found transforming the bike back to cycle mode to be much easier than going to ride armor mode. Went through 3cycles of transformation and everything is still holding up just fine.

Those pics are frakken awesome!! I love this Ride-armor!! I guess you'll be saving up for Ley's/Rand's Ride-armor when it comes out!! B))

  5. My VF-22 hit a bit of a snag the other night. I applied a wash, but my Future coat was either too thin, OR I'd added too much surfactant as it'd etched and stained the Future.

I placed the thing in a large zippered bag and stripped it with Castro Super Clean. The down side is the Super Clean softened the Aves mounts I'd made for the vertical stabilizers - I'd expected that - and I'm rebuilding them. Again, I'm going with something that looks more "real" than the kit offerings and this time they'll be seamlessly mountable after final weathering's completed. Thanks to John Lester and Terry for that suggestion originally.

Back to the bench we go. :D

    Kenny

Thats a bummer Kenny, but have no fear you've some serious skills there, your VF-22 will look even better than before when its all done! In the world of making model kits, we've all done something similar to that before (At least 4 times for me, I ruined my 1/48 Super Hornet twice before fully finishing it!!)

Keep us posted with pics!! B))

  6. Who cares about these missile racks? I want my question answered. Would Yamato be so kick ass as to include a Zentradi uniform for the Max 1A? That's a question.

I know there is a 1/144 or its a 1/100 Scale Max VF-1A with the Green Zentradi uniform on it, But as far as Yamato doing one for their 1/60 line.... Only time will tell on that. So many times Yamato will make an item that isn't even series related (the Stealth, woodland camo the urban camo Armor) and then years later make an important Valkyrie like Max's VF-1S & TV VF-1A. Thank you Yamato!!! B))

Joint pics of the v.2/revisioned VF-0S.

    Differences? :)

Hey Ruskii, I boxed my VF-0A & 0S up a while ago, since they both ended up having some arm troubles. Does your new VF-0S seem any stronger, weaker? New arm design? Do the joints lock up any better than the 1st versions? Hope your is trouble free!! Peace B))

***Would be nice for Yamato to just come out & say ITS FIXED or NEW & IMPROVED!!***

  8. Its just a shame that Hollywood 9 times out of 10 get it wrong.

All they need to do now is something like buck rogers in the same way.

I agree on the 9 out 10 theory, usually Hollywood makes it worse.... I remember even as a kid, in the early 80's when Buck Rogers was on TV & thinking it was cheesy, That is a series that would have to go through some serious revamps & slate cleaning!! B))

  9. When you look at the pictures of Stick/Scott actually riding his ride-armor, and I mean in a actual seated, gripping the handle bars position, his legs perfectly proportioned on the clutch these Beagles seem well worth the money!! It only took a toy company 20 some years to get it right. I'm glad I didn't get the Megahouse or CM's version, I'm saving up for this one!! B))

  10. Given that they had the luxury of having us wait this long for a toy and to tease us with prototype pics, I would have to whole heartedly say, "they have delivered a solid toy!"

I've only dropped it one time and luckily nothing broke. This thing is the most meticulous piece of toy engineering that I've ever seen.

BTW I bought 3 of them.

Dam!! I will repeat that, Dam!! you have 3. Seriously dude, thats awesome!! Hope your saving your $$$ money though as the Ley/Rand type is coming out fairly soon as well. But if there as well designed/built as you & others are stating. My jaw will drop altogether when we see how Yellow/Lancers Ride-Armor looks!! take care man!! B))

  11. Theres no way around it, the original Battlestar was a pure cheese factory, ( I admit I used to watch it on the weekends when I was little kid back in the day). But the last 4+ years has proved that sometimes a remake of an old movie or series pays off & can be far superior to the original!! It will be a sad day when the this Series ends......

  12. Honestly, I would rather see the the chraracters covered with Revoltech, and the GN-U sticking with mecha, since I think that is each's series strong suit.

I do wish Yamato persue doing Macross Zero vehicles in the GN-U...there are just not enough toys from that series. For what it's worth I can realistically see Kaiyodo producing them as well.

That would be an awesome concept for Mac Zero toys, especially if all the VF-0's & SV-51's were made and in each individual mode. I'd buy those!!!

  13. I've been fantasizing about a "25th Anniversary" shot for a while now.

    VF-251.jpg

    vf-252.jpg

I'm pretty happy with mine. I had some "I think I'm going to sell it on e-bay thoughts" this morning, but I think I'll keep it. Odd thing I noticed is when seen from the top, it's an absolute beauty (minus that ridiculous gloss finish)... but from the bottom it's er... more challenged ie. that hideous gun-pod holder, the much maligned landing gear, etc.

My final veredict. Is it a Yamato? No. Is it an improvement over the old Macross 7 toys? OMG YES. The emphasis on this was definitely quality. They slapped that metal in all the right places... I don't see this DX's shoulders self destructing anytime soon.

Just curious, is your VF-25 next to a 1/60 or 1/48 VF-1? Either way I think down the road I'll get a VF-25, I think they look pretty good, especially in Fighter mode!!

Well since you mentioned the quality seems high on these toys, maybe that kind of reputation will help Bandai to have the $$$ financial resources to make more & various Macross toys!! B))
