Super parts are a lot more blue than in the promo pics posted at every retailer. I'm fine with it, though I like the darker grey better.

Sweet! I love the VF-19 Advance!

The only thing I trust less than Yamato's stock pics, are Bandai's stock pics...
The white landing gear gives away that those pics are lies.

Got around to finishing the VF-1A I started like last summer.
DYRL VF-1A flown by Macross's OG pimpmaster:

HMR Armored VF-1J available for PO again at Amiami.
-
And there will still be PO madness for a freaking web exclusive because Bandai.
-
They're (sometimes) overtightening the screws. I only had to turn the screw on one of my shoulders every so slightly to get it to move normally again.
Seeing as this is essentially a reissue of an established mold that didn't previously have such issues, it seems Bandai isn't the only one to take a hit in the QC department.
-
A bit pricier than buying from Japan, but at least it's available for anyone to buy without hassle which is a good thing.
-
I got lazy and ordered one from Hobby Genki a couple days ago since it was the same price as Amiami anyway. Total with DHL shipping was $261.
-
Whoever buys from Hobby Genki please let us know if you receive a 25G or a GP01. Or maybe a VF-25GP01

Hahaha! By then, Nippon-Yasan has open shop once again.
Who would buy from them? That name is pretty tainted among hobbyists.

This scene just SCREAMS for an HM-R CAT'S EYE Recon Plane!! Right???, Right???!!! COME ON BANDIA!!
LOL!
Doubt Bandai will give us the Cat's Eye... maybe as an expensive limited run model kit from Arcadia like they did with the Lancer.

👍 crop the pic and the VF flies over a furry hill! 😅
and based on visual cues....nikon 18-55 VR AF-P DX lens. Dont mind me... just a lens spotting habit..😄
It's the terrain of an alien planet.
Good eye though. Even I'd forgotten the model of Nikon I had bought years ago.

Whoops slept through another preorder. Guess I'm getting too old for this sh**.
Then again, I haven't had any problems getting any releases before or right on release day, so maybe PO madness is just something we're inflicting on ourselves.
-
I'd like them to add an optional additional back brace for the wing armor parts, similar to what the 1/72 model kit has. Never liked that the heavy wing armors were held aloft only by two weeny little swivel joints.

My copy arrived from HLJ, it was double boxed, PF YF-19 in the original 1pc Arcadia brown shipper box with C/no 1115 on the bottom. and then in a HLJ shipper box..
as for the tight elbows , I will probably need to I loosened the screws just in case.
But its been a long time since I transformed my regular Arcadia Yf-19 ,so is removing the whole arm the easiest way to get access to loosing the elbow joint screws?
any extra cautions area that I need to look into or be extra careful when doing this?
Nah they're pretty easy to access with a small screwdriver. You can take the entire arm off by swiveling the shoulder back and removing the screw that's exposed.

My quick and dirty HMR Super VF-1S
Hmmm there's something off about that last pic...

Speaking of overly tight parts.. Does that happen to apply to the intake covers as well? Those were always really loose, so it wouldn't hurt for them to stay in a little better on this release.
They're secure on my copies.

Nope. I just detached the entire arm and then was easily able to access the screw under the shoulder pauldrons to loosen it.
Side by side with the Bandai version. While Bandai's toy is excellent, it's really a VF-19 Advance posing as a YF-19.
-
Shoulder surgery was a success. Both the shoulder and bicep cover on the right arm were super tight. Loosened the inside screw just a touch. They're really overtightening them at the factory.
-
Just transformed to battroid. It's been years since I transformed any of my Arcadia 19s but the transformation is so much more elegant than Bandai's version so I was able to get right back into it without any problem.
Can't finish because while the left arm is fine, the right arm is pretty tight and I'm not going to force it. Looks like some minor shoulder surgery is in order.

Is it smaller than the regular YF-19 box?
PF boxes are the same size as the non-PF editions, just black.
Don't know why Arcadia doesn't just use a regular box and just slap a "PREMIUM FINISH EDITION" sticker on the front.

I stick by my original theory that the crotch plate was always meant to be colored/textured but the CG guys ran out of time so they said "F it, it's gonna be hidden in fighter most of the time anyway" and left it essentially blank. And now the uncolored crotch plate is canon.
