  1. I stick by my original theory that the crotch plate was always meant to be colored/textured but the CG guys ran out of time so they said "F it, it's gonna be hidden in fighter most of the time anyway" and left it essentially blank. And now the uncolored crotch plate is canon.:fool:

  2. They're (sometimes) overtightening the screws. I only had to turn the screw on one of my shoulders every so slightly to get it to move normally again.

Seeing as this is essentially a reissue of an established mold that didn't previously have such issues, it seems Bandai isn't the only one to take a hit in the QC department.

Hahaha! By then, Nippon-Yasan has open shop once again. :spiteful:

Who would buy from them? That name is pretty tainted among hobbyists.

This scene just SCREAMS for an HM-R CAT'S EYE Recon Plane!! Right???, Right???!!!  COME ON BANDIA!!

    LOL!

Doubt Bandai will give us the Cat's Eye... maybe as an expensive limited run model kit from Arcadia like they did with the Lancer.

and based on visual cues....nikon 18-55 VR AF-P DX lens.  Dont mind me... just a lens spotting habit..😄

It's the terrain of an alien planet.

Good eye though. Even I'd forgotten the model of Nikon I had bought years ago.

My copy arrived from HLJ,   it was double boxed, PF YF-19 in the original 1pc Arcadia brown shipper box with C/no 1115 on the bottom.    and then in a HLJ shipper box.. ^_^

as for the tight elbows , I will probably need to I loosened the screws just in case.

But its been a long time since I transformed my regular Arcadia Yf-19 ,so is removing the whole arm the easiest way to get access to loosing the elbow joint screws?

any extra cautions area that I need to look into or be extra careful when doing this?

Nah they're pretty easy to access with a small screwdriver. You can take the entire arm off by swiveling the shoulder back and removing the screw that's exposed.

Speaking of overly tight parts.. Does that happen to apply to the intake covers as well?  Those were always really loose, so it wouldn't hurt for them to stay in a little better on this release. :p

    They're secure on my copies.

Was it a pain in the a$$ getting to the screws to loosen them?

Nope. I just detached the entire arm and then was easily able to access the screw under the shoulder pauldrons to loosen it.

Side by side with the Bandai version. While Bandai's toy is excellent, it's really a VF-19 Advance posing as a YF-19. :p

  7. Just transformed to battroid. It's been years since I transformed any of my Arcadia 19s but the transformation is so much more elegant than Bandai's version so I was able to get right back into it without any problem.

Can't finish because while the left arm is fine, the right arm is pretty tight and I'm not going to force it. Looks like some minor shoulder surgery is in order.
