    Wrong helmet. And I just thought of something. On the last couple of SDFM did the cockpits have the dual stick/ no center stick controls? Ah yes, how could I have forgotten the "Red Shirts"!

    Supers have no Strike Cannon. They were in the last couple of episodes of SDFM. I'm not sure what the difference is between the Bandai Supers and the Strike parts sets other than the Supers come with the red tipped reaction missiles. And no Strike Cannon with the Supers of course. What's funny is that only Hikaru (in Skull One), Max and Miria had Supers in SDFM (I think). And there are no DX Valks in those flavors. If you're looking to be canon you would need to have a custom painted Hikaru pilot figure for the Roy DX.

    But, this entire discussion started based on the DHL shipping cost from AE. Using AmazonJP as a point of reference is useless because AmazonJP shipping prices are unusually low due to Amazon's massive buying power and volume with DHL. You will find that places like Manda, Buyee, Tenso, etc are going to be a far better reference for DHL shipping costs than AmazonJP or JP Post. The only thing AmazonJP DHL costs correlate to is AmazonJP shipping costs.

    How are you correlating a JP Post cost to a DHL cost? That Voltes shipping was REALLY inexpensive. That box is massive!!! Amazon gets crazy shipping discounts.

    That sounds about right for a "retail" shipping price. Different retailers have different discounts though. For example I think it was 11K yen shipping AmazonJP. And AmazonJP is as inexpensive as inexpensive gets when it comes to DHL shipping. My guess is that most retailers will charge 14-15K to ship that monster box. Buyee has a DHL shipping chart that is pretty close to what you will see from most retailers.

    Yeah, that's part of the number crunching. I opened a DHL and UPS International business account too. I'm still beating them up on rates. The trick with DHL is how their packed. If you pack them right you can ship them for reasonable money (thin bubble wrap between each one and "armor" around the perimeter of the box). Places like Buyee, Tenso, From Japan, etc just chuck them in a big box wasting sometimes up to 1/3 of the volume and ship them...........for way too much money. I think my buddy is limited to 6? or maybe 8? IDK. I only want one. I'm not looking hard to hang my tail out to the tune of $1000+ for 6mo just to sell them at cost on the board. I'm not necessarily looking not to do it either. I'm just going to have to see how the numbers shake out and frankly what sort of mood I'm in that day.

    On the subject of TWE releases I think what @DYRL VF-1S was trying to say as nicely as possible was that sometimes they are very, very limited. People that have the system "dialed" would be crazy to hand off their experience/planning to potentially get beat out by someone who hasn't put the work in. We're all brothers here........to a point. That said, and @DYRL VF-1S eluded to. Once you have secured your PO and maybe back up post up where you had success at and help other board members out. And if you do get a back up and it does materialize sell it to someone on the board that missed out (after release/delivery). I have a buddy living in JP that is going to secure a 1D for me if I can't PO one the morning after (I'm not doing the middle of the night madness thing). If I'm going to have him secure one I'll consider having him max out how many he can get and sell the extras on the board for cost. I have some number crunching to do on that though. Shipping gets silly when you're dealing with boxes that big. The per unit cost to ship goes up opposed to down sometimes. As arse backward as that is.

    To be fair the box for this thing is HUGE! DHL for the DX focker was 3K I think. I’m really glad I got a BBTS PO in. This and the DX Voltes. BIG BOXES! It does suck waiting 2-2.5 mo after release to get BBTS stuff though. Not that it matters. But the 9yr old in me wants stuff now!
