Those are really cool because they're so accurate. But holy smokes the money. I'd have to have a Hikaru too. Not going to happen. I'll stick with the knock offs.

My guess, knowing a little about retail packaging goes is that they wanted to keep the overall box size within certain perimeters and adjusted the design of the fan racer to suit. You would be shocked how much packaging (be it a box or an entire car) drives the design process. Transportation and warehousing is a huge cost. Or it could be something like they only have so many lines (literal production lines) available for the time period and adding the Fan Racer meant running a smaller line simotanously. Or a combination of the above. Also, remember Yamato went out of business. It doesn't mater how well you do something if the business model is not sustainable. Then you're literally producing nothing good or bad. All that said, I would rather have a Yamato-esq Fan Racer.

Doesn't quite have the same ring now does it? Be happy you have a shot at getting one at retail at all. It's a hard concept. What was that middle part again?

The TWE has not sold out. The few units the proxy services can get have. Big difference.

Not enough display room. It's actually going to be displacing a DX VF-1J Hikaru in Gerwalk on the shelf. There is still a 1J in Fighter and Battroid though. I may keep an extra MISB. Not sure. I'll make that call later if I get multiples.

Yeah, I'm going to assume that because my buddy is going to be picking me a couple up in JP all of my PO requests will go through. If they do I'm going to have a LOT of $$$ tied up in 1D's for 7mo. I doubt I would have much issue selling the extras. I only want one (not my usual three).

My wife and I just blew through the first two (and probably only because of the pandemic) season of this. A really fun watch. The series is a bit of a tribute to Bruce Lee. And it shows.....in a good way. Pretty good story. It's Skinimax, so a fair number of good looking ladies. And the fight sequences are pretty darn good. If you're looking for a turn your brain off good time, this is it.
