  1. We're nowhere near to when the full economic impact of this is going to hit. Right now most people are thinking about this as a snow storm when they should be thinking about it as an entire winter. Every business owner I know, most of them being in the "luxury goods" business, are battening down the hatches and planning on a rough go of it.
  2. This is how I do mine.
  3. It will be interesting to see after this all shakes out of the Japanese method has more/less transmission than the US's arguably unconstitutional measures (this is more of a state by state thing).
  4. Saw this yesterday. Went into not expecting more than a good ol 80's style action movie. And that's what I got. And it was fun. Turned my brain of end enjoyed. The photography/effects/sets were great IMO. The director (who did one of the Love And Robots things on Netflix) really did a great job with the visuals. The idea of using a truck full of XXXXX for the tunnel scene was quite brilliant. It gave a awesome effect and was completely plausible. The CGI was really good where it needed to be. You can tell in a few situations they had to work within a budget, but it's not bad. Oh yeah, in true 80's style two absolutely smokin hot co starts (no, not the other dudes). Certainly not hard to look at for the whole movie. And they even had the "plucky comedy relief" character and managed to do it without making them annoying (which is usually the case). It wasn't a huge budget blockbuster. I'd guess Deadpool 1 type budget (I didn't look it up). Hopefully they decide to do more like this. It could be a pretty good little franchise.
  5. Can you imagine being Arnold? You could have a toy collection......of yourself!
  6. Oh the humanity!!!!
  7. I don't agree. You could even argue that giving up profit margin so you don't employ slave labor and keep jobs in the country you live in is the ultimate show of capitalism. I make moral judgement calls that cost my company money every day. I do get the argument that it's not likely to happen across the board. Or even at 50%. Humans will be humans.
  8. I was hoping you knew something I didn't.
  9. Jungle just told me they don't ship DHL?????
  10. I slept horribly last night. Coffee got me to an IQ of about 80. I need some more sleep.
  11. Drat. There is something I want off of Jungle but the only option they have is EMS. No telling how long that will take.
  12. Possibly. Quality and timeliness could go up though. The Arcadia SV-51 leg issue was a China problem (probably). How much time/money did that cost Arcadia? Make that stuff on shore, avoid those problems, maybe that balances the bottom line. Just my opinion. Because of China's lies and cover-ups a lot of people are already dead and the world economy is in shambles. And we're not done yet. China needs to be punished hard for this. The US alone should be billing China for what is the stimulus package? 2T? Well double that for the real impact on the economy. And they should also be billed for 90% of US deaths (statistically we would have 90% less cases if China didn't lie). What is a death worth? At least a couple million. And old but good saying you hear around shops/stores. "You break it, you bought it". I am sick to my back teeth of no one in power paying for what they break. Be that by getting voted out, sued, jailed, etc. In the case of China they need to be presented with a bill for the damage they have caused. And US corporations should be getting out of China even if government incentives have to be part of the program. China needs to be put in the poor house for the next 285-30yrs as a lesson. And we need to bring those jobs back to the US or at least Mexico so their economy and standard of living can grow. Which will solve a whole host of problems. This is coming from someone who get product manufactured in China. My proposal would absolutely clobber my bottom line. I'm willing to pay it for America. Sorry. I'm prickly this morning. Rant over.

  17. I think that they think there is a certain part of the buying population that will pay that amount. So that's what they charge. Clearly they're right. They're sold out.
