  1. Me too. As much as I like Bandai's effort on this one and bought two VF-19's, I will also not replace my 2 Arcadia's.

I'm not sure if Bandai will reissue a VF-25G from their VF100 line. They might however release Valks from the Frontier down the line if Hi-Metal R will be successful. Let's pray it will since most of the guys here are looking forward for the Destroids releases.
  3. Cool figure. My sister loves Card Captor Sakura though she doesn't collect figures. Anyways, there's already an existing MaxFactory Figma thread, maybe you want to show your collection there as well. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=25242
  4. Here you go, wmkjr. Length-wise and thickness, they're the same. Corner edges wise, it's more squarish looking on the Advanced Bossters. And the major difference is the wing slot middle section area. Almost the same tampo prints except the SMS on the Advanced Boosters are bigger. And the tip on the Advanced Booster is thinner than the regular boosters. Hope that helps.
  5. Hey guys. I know this is an old thread. But I just want to ask how good the DYRL PS3 game is for the Hybrid one? And also for the Wings of Goodbye Hybrid? I found two on sale and I'm hesitant to get it since for sure it's not on-par with the Macross30 game. And how long the game is? Thanks in advance.
  6. Ok, somehow I get it. But does that mean, if the licensee pays more to produce from the licensor, would that mean that they can just get the updated designs made by the other competitor/licensee? I know the licensee pays to produce a product with the agreement from the licensor. Now if another licensee pays to the licensor to produce somehow the same product but with a different model name because somehow fans gets so giggly for seeing it for 5 seconds, would this licensee be entitled to somehow use the design made by the previous licensee? Even though the licensor gave the go signal since they 'owned' the said design from the previous licensee based on their terms, what royalties the previous licensee gets if the new licensee use their design, right? I mean, why not Arcadia/T-Rex offers the Advanced Boosters as an exclusive web order instead? You know, just like a give and take situation. Would Bandai 'interferes' since they paid more? I'll call that 'cheating' instead of reaping. Hahaha! But yeah, I must admit I'm interested to see a Bandai YF-21 to go with their VF-19. not everyone was able to jump on that deal and right after they ran out of stock, everywhere else the price was inflated to $200+ before shipping.EMS was more like $25-ish on HLJ, and there is also foreign transaction fee of about $5 from paypal (just checked with my bank). True. Not everyone get a chance on getting it the first preorder night. And some got it after the mark up price which I did. Why don't you just ask the seller first where he bought it so that you'll know since he mentioned that he's already selling it lower. It wouldn't hurt if you just PM him instead. By the way, is the $185+shipping from that site you mentioned is still available? If yes, better get it before it's gone. If not, then just wait if something pops up on the stores or on the 'For Sale' threads. Anyways, good luck on your hunt.

Sometimes I wonder, like how many preorders each stores need to fill before they close it? Does the manufacturer give them certain numbers at first? Or stores just reserves certain numbers for preorder just in case buyers starting to cancel or ignore their preorders before the release date? In this process, does the product considered as 'made to order' based on the numbers? Because for sure, they will not produce a thousand when the shops will just sell a couple of hundreds, right? Oh well, this is the reason why I decided to be a Graphic Artist instead.
  8. That's so awesome, Xigfrid. Can I ask what's the material used on the one that you received? Thanks.
  9. So, if that's the case, what's stopping Arcadia or T-Rex to ask Big West to mass produced their YF-19's Advanced Boosters, when Big West already approved the passed-on design from Arcadia to Bandai to produce their VF-19 Advanced (e.g. the Fast Mode wing bars, etc.)? I know Arcadia/T-Rex can't release the boosters in so many quantities due to Bandai owning the Frontier license, then how come Bandai mass produced the VF-19 by using some Arcadia's design input? Weird legality issues, right? Max928 is already selling his. Better grab it now. Good luck.
  10. Interesting. Bandai replied to its customers by giving warning on some delicate parts on the VF-19 Advance by encircling them in the attached photo. That's nice. Reposting here Anubis' posted pic. Cropped and enlarged. - Head lasers - Upper chest area (black and red stripes) - Tubes under the chest area - Collapsed neck cover on the shield - Machine gun housing on the wing attached to the hips (probably on paint or part scratching when put back to Fighter/Gerwalk modes. - Wing body that holds the folder wing for paint scratching - Leg fins
  11. I, for one, did listen to it which I already mentioned it before. And I'm still going to get it. Yeah.
  12. Thanks Saburo and Spanner. Just helping out people here to see comparison shots for both, esp to members who doesn't have the other variant. And I just had a free time last night so I decided to make it. Though I just left the Gerwalk comparison. Will probably do that next time. True. Any manufacturer in Japan probably doing the same thing. I remember those model kits before that they have always put the address and phone number to call if you need to order a replacement parts. Too bad, we don't have access on those policy. And I don't think members from this forum who lives in Japan can help one of us either. Probably those manufacturers will ask them first like where did they purchase it? Or do you have the receipt or something just to show proof? It's not going to be like they just gonna call or email the manufacturers to send them replacement parts. Coz if that's doable, for sure Japan members here would've already offered this service to us. Probably just minor stuff. But the main difference for sure is the Booster's Wing Slots. Will try to shoot pix tonight. My complaint too. That's why they 'hide' it on their promotional photos.

I guess, it's how they compete with other online stores. Lure customers for low prices. But after that, like everyone says here, they have bad reputation on Customer Service. And congrats to everyone who got their PO's.
  14. Some comparison pics from its predecessor:
  15. The only solution on this one is that the hips should be in a proper angle during fighter mode, the main wing swivel joint should be pushed down all the way upon returning it, and the locking tabs on those hip uppper intakes is inserted properly, then all is good.
  16. "Bandai's Overengineering". Same sentiments exactly from lots of members here. In order to fold the leg, you must follow this 5, 6, 7, 8 transformation sequence first.
  17. I can't remember Bandai did product recalls nor replacements in the past. Probably it's a different story, if you live in Japan.
  18. A NOTE on the Wing Root tabs that connects back to the legs, if you still find it tight, just scrape off a little plastic using x-acto knife or cutter on the area where the locking tabs is potruding. Hope that helps. And regarding the shoulder and leg area part. When you're pushing the leg back in Fighter mode and somehow the inner leg part kinda blocks the folded arm area, try to push down from the top of the shoulder armor while pulling the leg towards the back so that the folded arm should slide in the leg gap, then lock the legs tab in the backpack area. From there, you can re-work or align those shoulder armor back in. Same goes when you're Valk is equipped with their Fast Packs. Make sure that the shoulder flap is angled towards the Fast Pack exhaust on the back of the legs. So when you pushed the shoulder down while pulling the leg towards the back in order to slide the folded arm to the leg gap, the shoulder flap will keep on pushing that small Fast Pack armor on the back of the legs. Then once everything is locked in place, you can adjust the gaps on the shoulder and lock the shoulder Fast Pack on the back of the legs as well. But do NOTE again that even though you lock everything in place esp the shoulder and leg area part, it will still NOT HIDE the 'obvious' gap between the legs and shield.
  19. Remember that those are just prototypes and for marketing purposes. Remember also that I pointed out pages ago, Bandai showed photos in Fighter mode that the upper part of the wing root is tabbed somehow on those leg Fast Packs. But to be honest, I lined up (not perfectly flushed ) those shoulder and leg Fast Packs properly after how many tries. I kinda doubt the latter part, technoblue. After transforming this Valk to Fighter mode to Battroid mode and back, I can't seem to flush everything in 100%. I know it's lined up but overall it's not as flushed as Arcadia is. Arcadia from what I remember, even at first try, everything falls right in their places. With this one, I know that I already aligned it, but somehow I need to literally squeeze everything esp on the torso area when transformed to Fighter mode just to flush it out a little. And doing so, the shield area pops out a little esp the head part and the sheild rail area.
  20. Yeah, it's true that it's hard to lock in place the shoulder at the back of the legs when the Fast Packs are one. Esp the one for the back of the legs that keeps on popping out even though I adjusted the shoulder flaps based on the manual. But once everything is in place, it's more flushed out than when I opened mine after getting it. But have more patience with it. This ones transforms easier than YF-21.

Price is nice. Good luck tonight (PST) everyone!
  22. Nice. Would love to see and hear your opinion on the Arcadia YF-19 and Bandai VF-19 Advance soon, jenius.
  23. IIRC no....no review, no transformation guide. Maybe now can be a good time Actually, there is. I also posted a transformation guide before on the Arcadia YF-19 thread though YouTube muted my M+ soundtrack audio. Here's Odeean's YF-19 review. My transformation video. Pinoi78's YF-19 Part 1 review (Part 2 is not uploaded yet). Hope that helps. Get one now while it's still available. If not you can just check the For Sale thread area if anyone is selling their Arcadia or Bandai ones. Good luck!
