  1. Oh yeah. Forgot the DYRL version. But back to what we're discussing, the DYRL one is almost the same with some minor tweaks on details. Whereas the one in The First manga, it has a new head somehow. So big difference in there. Not to mention in the manga they also updated the Super/Strike Packs in 3 modes. What we're discussing is VF-1 not SW-XA1. But yes, the SW-XA1 is the updated version for VF-1. But that's already a different model with a different code number. The example I gave was RX-78-2 Gundam. For the last 20 years, we've seen different versions of RX-78-2. There's the Kunio version, there's the Katoki version, and now there's the Origin version, and so on and so forth. It has different incarnation for just the same Gundam model. VF-1 has what? TV, updated look for DYRL. That's what kajnrig is implying. Like why there's no or planned 'official' update to the VF-1 design by Kawamori. So in that sense, I mentioned that the VF-1J has a facelift in the The First manga. Yeah. Mine too came loose out of the box even though I bought it 'new in the box' from Jungle. So yeah, better invest on the Arcadia one if you're going to transform it from time to time. And if you want the Reactive Armor. Because I don't think they will make the Reactive Armor to be able to fit the old VF-0S. But if you just want it in fighter mode, then Yamato is a-ok. But beware somehow on the Arcadia, since most of members here complained the thigh joint problems that came with it. Hope with this release, it will be fixed.
  2. You're welcome wmkjr. Regarding improvements and whatnot, somebody is already asking about the ankle joints over Arcadia's twitter feed. I'm not too sure if Google Translate is correct. --------------------- 大変ご迷惑をお掛け致しました・・・ 前回の機体に比べてなるべく調整すると担当が申しております! Bandai DX VF-31

Same here. Don't you mean the VF-262 Draken? The blue and gold one? Same here again. Want a Hikaru/Isamu/Alto scheme.
  4. Because there's no need to update the VF-1 since it's based on real plane when it was first designed. Majority of the valk designs is just done by Kawamori, whereas Gundams, mainly RX-78, have different designer for each incarnation or interpretation. Besides, IF they did update the VF-1's designs, they need to incorporate it to the story. And the only time that the VF-1 had 'updates' (VF-1J's new head design and paint patterns) is in the Macross The First manga. But yeah, I'm curious also to see an updated VF-1 ala-Ver.Ka approach. Hmmm. Come to think of it, it reminds me of the look of the DX 1/35 VF-1 that was displayed on the Tamashii show month ago. That's the nearest one I could think of as an update because of how it looks, detail-wise.
  5. It's the same reason why they don't show Luke Skywalker directly on all the trailers and tv spots. They don't want to ruin the anticipation.
  6. Arcadia's tweeter reply that the PO for YF-19 with Fast Pack reissue will start in Jan 2016. Release date to be announced.
  7. Oh. Ok, got it.
  8. Some random Twitter photos:
  9. The FanToys link is still giving me the MakeToys so I search the FanToys one. And it looks nice I might say. But my main concern on Transformers toys is that one is not enough. I know I have some Hot Rod/imus figures from different lines and somehow it lacks something and I know that 'something' is Optimus Prime. And that's the reason why I don't buy Transformers toys. Coz I know that once I buy one, I will buy another one. And it will continue since this one is a little cheaper than our Valk prices. Though I'm looking forward the new Hot Rod MP version. And the other one I want to buy badly is MP Shockwave. Hahaha! Control control. Lucky you sir. I only stare at them at the shelf when they first came out. Hehehe. Is that the same as Scyla's first BBTS link post? The Ver. 2N?
  10. In flight mode using yetistands?
  11. I'm curious if they're going to do the Season 3/4 Batmobile in the future. Nice. I've always liked Hound from G1 Cartoons. He looks awesome. This is 3rd party, yes? How much? Oooh. Love it! Are you planning on getting the Sahelanthropus too?

    Hi-Metal R

THAT Destroid Monster is starting to grow on me and I don't want to start and buy another line. Gotta stay away from this thread. Hahaha!

    Absolute Chogokin

Nice. So that's the magazine where the new scanned pics of VF-31 came from, correct?
  14. I don't see it will create problems during transformations since you'll basically remove the Gunpod before you transform that area, right? And from what I see on the valk, that's the slot used for the cockpit's bottom fin. You just use that slot only in Battroid mode, so in that sense you already removed the Gunpod. And I didn't say I want to attach my Gunpod into it (since I don't have extra Gunpods to lend my VF-4G's). I only asked because I remember someone asked before if they can attach a Gunpod underneath. And to see if it really does fit since I haven't tried it. And seeing this picture while doing some searching, I remember that question. Besides, the more armaments it can hold, the better.
  15. I remember someone also noticed the 'not-so-visible' landing gear doors on the VF-31 too. Probably in this era, they don't use landing gears anymore? And just land via Gerwalk/Battroid mode?

    Bandai DX VF-31

From the get-go, this one already has some proportions issue like YF-30. Thin arms?
  17. no3Ljm

    Macross figures

But it looks more like "Rick Hunter", right?
  18. Did anyone tried this on their VF-4G? Surprise to see this one via Google search. Thanks.
  19. Nice! Next time maybe you can do something like this.
  20. Some random Twitter photos: Pink-Whiter!
  21. It really depends on what their actual height is. You will really see their height differences when you start comparing a Perfect Grade 1/60 Gundam to a 1/60 scaled VF-1/0. RX-78-2 Gundam - 18m VF-1S Battroid - 12.68m You can check @EFSF's photos.
  22. Here's another reference from Valkyrie Addict's post over 'Custom DYRL VF-1J GBP-1S Armor'. Hasegawa 1/72 VF-0S Reactive Armor | Yamato 1/60 VF-1J GBP | 1/144 TECT VF-11C Full Armor
  23. I don't think the 1/72 scaled battroid is near foot tall because the 1/60 VF-0D is around 10inches. 1/72 scaled proabably around 7inches only.
  24. Yeah. How I wish they will release a Hikaru VF-1A in this color. Coz somehow I really like the whiteness on this one than the DYRL after getting the VF-1S Roy TV weeks prior. Yes sir! Planning to replace my Hikaru's DYRL VF-1's with this white valks. More clean and bright. Though I need to repaint the VF-1A head from DYRL to match the white in the future and the reaction missiles from the Super/Strike Packs. And I might sell the DYRL Hikaru valks loose. Thank you sir!
  25. I want it in Roy's scheme too. And I understand everyone's sentiments regarding the tampo prints, price point and whatnot. But we're already beyond that. Mr.K already posted a blog about the price increase before. It's either we accept it or don't buy their products anymore because it's missing this, and it's missing that. It's why I already gave up hope and expectations from this company when it comes with tampo prints. But either way, I'm still buying their VF-0S. Great pics, @EFSF! I'm curious though on the left shoulder armor (the one on right area of the photo). On the black paint area towards the bottom, I notice some minor scratch at the edge of the black paint. Is that from transforming it? Thanks.
