Yeah, like General Rasp said it's aiming for kids. And one of the main big difference is already the size. They're 6 inches. I don't think it's going to replace nor rival the Robot Spirits line. This reminds me of some of the Banpresto Gundam figures before. There's limitation on some areas but it's more durable for playing for younger kids. And besides, Bandai's going to do what Bandai's going to do -- they will always keep on releasing new lines of the old figures. -
Now that you mentioned it. You made me listened to it again. Classic.

I didn’t know that it went live yesterday. Besides, I’m not a big fan of Destiny Gundam so it’s an easy pass for me. However, I was surprised that nobody posted links during the PO yesterday so I assumed the interest on this figure is minimal. -

HMR Pilot TV versions is much smaller than its DYRL counterparts. So not all HMR Pilots are tiny.

That I believe so in a way that it will still last but not as same as what we have from before. Sad to say that the quality of plastics nowadays compared to the 80's is totally different. I don't have a Takatoku VF-1, but I'm definitely sure that when you have that both figures in your hand you can really tell that the plastic used back then are different quality.
