Can someone tell me why there are two prices posted?. What's the difference between the 8000 and 8400 prices? Is that the tax? with crotch/nosecone adaptor and without crotch/nosecone adaptor perhaps ?

Problem is , Kawamori was NOT involved that much in the production of Macross 7 because he was in fact closely working in Macross Plus´s production at the time , hece its ¨crapyness¨ as some would put it. The responsability lies in Studio 4ºC and BW itself IMO , because of their greedy needs for merchandising ( this fact is responsible for Macross Plus production after all so we should have to thanks M7 for letting us have Macross Plus in some weird way ). isn´t your post just that ? if M7 fans are such whinny little girly man why do you care so much ? afterall , you´re too great for that kind of attitude. from your point of view it would seem nonsensical to post in these threads since most of the people that post in them are not worthy of your presence. right ? For those who think that banning M7 threads is a just a whinny response from M7 fans then you´re overvaluing M7 fanboyism a little too much. What purpose does this thread serve when there´s been like 100s of other M7 threads before this ? and WE KNOW the end result if each freaking single one !! You´ve gotta think outside the OVA´s plot and focus in the background reasons for an OVA production like Zero. Why,considering it was the 20th anniversary of macross , did they only make ONE production ? why so much support from Bandai and the other production companies for only ONE production ? Why didn´t we see something like the 15th anniversary when they made an OVA , a Movie and a TV series ? isn´t it suspicious that they only made Zero given such an important date ? and right after the renewal of macross with Yamato´s toys ?

whatever. Mass surrender to what ? useless repetitive threads that do not contribute to anything cause they ALL end up being a flame-war ? really , don´t be so naive. It´s common knowledge a M7 thread will soon transform into this. We´re lucky this thread hasn´t YET come to the level of other M7 threads. I appreciate the good intentions behind this threads , I myself made a couple of them. I used to be a M7 fan , I haven´t stopped liking it but nowadays I just simply don´t give a crap about it anymore cause all it causes are senseless fights. As much as one acan skip this threads it just acts like a magnet for heated debate , useless debate for the most part. At least the first few M7 threads in the old board served the purpose of setting up most of people´s opinion on the matter but now every sngle new M7 thread is just a repetition of itself. That´s why I said what I said , not because I´m a wimp who can´t tolarate debate , I actually once got off my rails in a full 3 page fight because of M7 and i would be willing to do it again BUT... is it worth it ? is it worth the time when we KNOW we´ve had the same fight OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN ? IMO No.

Why don´t we just close every M7 that´s started from now on ? really, even if they´re started with a good intention , even if brings out some nice read , we ALL know it´s gonna end bloody and disturbingly stupid. What favour does it make to this community if every single one of this threads ends like this ? Why bother letting this threads be posted ? why not put a filter or something to evade M7 threads being posted ? It´s getting really sad and boring , we´re supposed to be grown ups right ? Simple. Use Media player classic , small , intuitive interface , direct to the point andplays everything. I used to have zoomplayer , it´s a really good alternative but at the end I was too tired to upgrade it just to get all the features.

I forgot to post a little side note to all. I´m not a M7 lover but I´ll have to say , if anyone wants to experience Macross 7 with the Full , authentic , 100% Macross flavour , in other words how Macross 7 ( and II for the sake of it ) SHOULD have been made in the first place ,then you´ve gotta read Macross 7 TRASH manga It´s Classic Studio Nue storytelling , great drama , great characters , awesome read. Seriously , had the producers made Trash the original Sequel and not Seven then we wouldn´t even have this discussions today. I would compare it side to side with Macross Plus kinda plot. Although it does not feature many valk action in it ( they should´ve made a sequel damn it) it´s worth the time , much more so than Seven or II . IMO it the perfect sequel for M7 haters , it has all the good things of the original macross ( love triangle , great characters , conspiration theory , zentrady conflict ,no music though ) and no Clown-faced valks , no J-pop , no crappy animationand best of all : no annoying Basara

I would have to say to say Macross II. Why ? Cause it paved the way for Macross 7 in the sense that Bigwest could´ve done a way better sequel to Macross AND include Kawamori in it. Neither of the 2 shows had Kawamori backing up its develoment ( BW ignored Shoji in Macross II cause he was tired of the franchise and in M7 he was too busy with Macross Plus , for good or bad ). Macross II is gulty for making Macross less recognisable as Gundam or any contemporary mecha show because it failed in delivering a proper sequel to Macross. Since then the only good and more mature shows we´ve gotten are Macross Plus and Zero. As far as I know the only good points of M7 are the fact that it introduced some cool designs ( VF-11 Full Armor / VF-11D jamming birds / VF-19S-P / VF-5000G / VF-14 ) and a more detailed background on the Protoculture. That´s it. Everything else was just a marketing gimmick for selling J-pop CDs. ( it is to be acknowledged that without this happening Macross Plus would´ve never seen the light of day as a macross series since it was the deal that Kawamori had to accept in order to get his project done.) In comparison Macross II didn´t contribute in any way at all , not even by selling J-pop CDs or merchandise. It certainly wasn´t a best seller. at the end of the day we´re actually lucky to get at least 5 out of 6 productions worth watching.

Woohoo ! Gundam = 0 Macross = 1 Yay ! I´m also very confident that if Macross was to exposed to a wider audience and it would greatly produce a renewal of macross goodness. It´s just that there much too many things that cause it not to be known as much as Gundam. BW should be told about Marketing , I think they neglect macross solely because they fear it won´t catch up with newer series when it´s just a matter of marketing their franchise. Newer serie do not have anything especial to them , they´re just very well marketed by their companies.

Guys , is it just me or does the time scores in the ranking menu seem a bit IMPOSSIBLE to surpass ? I mean , there´re guys in the ranking that somehow get scores of 10seconds ( flat ) in the Time Attack section , how´s that possible ? The best I can get is around 100-115sec mark. Am I just too dumb or are those people in the ranking cheating or just plain fake scores ?

So know Megas XLR is to be acknowledged as High quality , NOT-kiddie-orientated (mature was a ambiguous word to use ) , high budget , ANIME series ( cause it sounds like HG is hiring a cartoon writter to do a so-called ¨japanese-styled¨ series now ) ? Does Megas XLR ( or any of his past works) make Ford more adequate for this kind of job ? me thinks not ; in the other hand perhaps HE IS , considering HG is trying to target this at new audiences , hence , younger ( than original ) RT fans. Anyway, my personal take on this is that no matter what , HG will have to pull a big marketing campaign to get SOME profits out of this , given RT is more or less a niche series nowadays.

This guy must think that because of Yamato slowdown we´re gonna be desperate , but dude , we ain´t THAT desperate We might be entering a macross droughtiness but not just yet , not enough to bid for that crap anyway.

Hopefully this marks the final episode for HG and they go to bankrupt because of low sales. They act as if RT was a mainstream , recognisable and admired series but RT is just as niche as Macross is in Japan, so this ought to be a good time for a laugh.
