    THE BIG ESCAPE

Mate that´s awesome !!! I can´t figure out how noone ever made this custom before , it´s just great. I guess Max likes to feel ¨THE BREEZE¨ Hope you can get that Max 1A , though that means a lot of work , it´ll be worth it though
  3. Heh. Yeah, well the process was a real nightmare. The first time I took pictures, I "transferred" them to my computer and told WinXP to delete the pictures when the transfer completed. Except the pictures disappeared into the void - they weren't on my HDD and of course were no longer on my camera. So I went back and reshot. THEN, as I was working in Frontpage on the webpage, my ISP decided to do some routine maintenance, so my internet connection kept dropping. I ended up adding a picture and an instruction and then saving after each one so I wouldn't lose my work. Basically, someone didn't want me to be able to complete this project. Yeah , Yamato tends to do this things ( hehe not really but its a theory ) , they didn´t want you to do a decent guide in fear they would end up looking like complete dumbs because of their crappy guides so they hacked into your ISP
  4. mmmm , I don´t know if I should be posting this but so far I´ve found there´s only two versions. there´s the Fx version and the MI version , haven´t bought neither of them but based on thw quality of the DYRL and M7 version I would go for the Fx version although I haven´t seen any review of it.
  5. it was discovered a few posts back that the Koenig could in fact stand straight with having it to be supported.
  6. yeah I was thinking of the same thing actually. On another note : IS ANYONE THINKING OF CUSTOMISING THEIR KOENIGS ? if so what are you gonna do ? new paint scheme ? battle damage ? new stickers ? Maybe ( as this is supposed to be the official Koenig thread) people could start posting their IDEAS.
  7. I don´t know , somehow people are just obsesive enough to buy their VF-1s as well. Won´t happen I know. I´d be happy if Hase made aVf-5000 , well , anyone reallly. But I agree , Bandai just hates anything not-Gundam so they won´t make it if it ain´t a sure winner. our only hopes right now is our ¨beloved¨ Yamato
  8. Dude you´re insane I don´t know if I should admire you or be horrified
  9. May I highlight this ? guys , IT AIN´T A FATAL PROBLEM. you can still play with it , pose it , AND transform it , don´t sweat it . Anyway ,as for me I´m getting this boy with or without problems. Hopefully this is just the beggining , I wouldn´t mind for a 1/100 Vf-5000 as long as they make one ( would love something bigger but if they have to be concistent )
  10. True true... I agree with you. This is the type of thing we usualy only see a obscure resin kits from Japanese hobby shows. Yeah , I´m actually very grateful they really made it. It kinda gives me hopes of someday seeing a VF-5000 or a Vf-14.
  11. HAHAHAHAHAHA how naive. It´s obvious that we only need a little sparkle here to get fully sized fire. Dudes it´s only a rumor at best , there are no sources , there is no evidence. In fact as graham said: If anything I just hope Bandai would woke up and put their minds into doing some new valkyrie toys , anything really , like Macross Plus valks or Macross Zero , who knows. I´d be happy with a Fix figuration line dedicated to Macross.
  12. I know, but what if they do fix a problem that some of the complainers whine about because they took it very seriously? (there was one guy in the roy reissue thread with a missing piece) You got to at least try to let them know by providing some feedback. If they don't know about it, chances are nothing would get done. It's for thier own good even if they don't know it. Kind of like a kid who doesn't want to brush his her teeth but you make them do it. heh. I bet even if they do not respond, they are still listening. It's just a matter of if enough people complain, or if it will affect the bottom line. Take the toynami thing for example: I bet all those who buy something and are upset by the thing who do not complain, are probably glad now that they are accepting returns for faults. I just feel it is normal to be able to still complain about something but at the same time still feel you can support the product and company, you know what I mean? But there is always going to be some who think: "If ya don't like it, don't buy it" which isn't the point. We want to buy, but also like it. Fans are still enthusiastic about the release and WILL buy it, (just like with the toynami alphas) but they still wish for the QC and hope they aren't going to be the unlucky one who gets one with a missing piece, one with a part that was put backwards, a loose limb etc If they are unlucky and do get one, complaining about it, isn't a sign they aren't interested in the toy, since they wouldn't have parted with thier cash in the first place! If yamato thinks that, (enough to cancel every project at the slightest complaint) then they've misinterpreted. Note to yamato: For all those who are sitting back and waiting for reviews, it is not that we are not interested in the toy, quite the opposite, we are just laidback and want to know more about it first. (otherwise we wouldn't come to forums to gobble up the latest information, would we?) We're the guy who go to EB, reads reviews, and don't mind returning stuff that doesn't satisfy us, rather than keeping something that might make us unhappy and being miserable. For some of us, buying an expensive thing whether it be a tv, or new piece of hardware, import game systems from an importer who has them early, etc...we like to at least know as much as we can before diving in. (early adopters pay the most, and sometimes get burned the most, but that doesn't stop them from wanting to pay a good price for something they really want.) It's normal. Customers can have stupid reasons for not liking something, but in the end, if they are unhappy with something, it's best in the long term to listen to complaints imo. History proves it. You´re right in most if not all your comments but one thing you don´t understand yet is that Yamato has CEASED ALL relationships with Macross World , for some reason they now no longer trust us or whatever and for that very reason is that they possibly no longer enter this forums anymore. Isn´t their silence towards Graham enough proof that they no longer have an interest in our boards or what we think. This closure of relationship is just another excusse in favour of their ¨we only care about the Japanese market¨ policy.
  13. hmmmmmmmm last I checked chicks dig the regular sizes rather than SD Argh!!! You got me good on that point Noel!!! Yeah I can confirm babes prefer the 1/1 stuff if not the 2/1
  14. Unfortunatelly , this is not always (if ever) the case with Yamato. When people start to hold back their money or start to complain about a product they simply painc away and just cancel the project or further releases right away ( VF-0 , YF-19FP or 1/60 Monster...all of them have dissapeared from the horizon because Yamato´s panic to failure) in fear that their investment will get them not refunds back. Really , when was the last time Yamato actually heard us ? isn´t it time we stop and realise no one is at the other end of the line ? If they actually cared about our opinions then we wouldn´t see much complaining , would we ? I for one could be playing with a VF-5000 at this moment if they cared about us , but as some else coined , ¨Yamato just ain´t our whishlist factory¨ , they make money out of our valk addiction. I don´t know , I prefer to play safe and not risk this seemingly limited possibilty of getting a Koenig so I´ll just buy one , so far all the complains I´ve heard are either ( I would assume) isolated cases or simple nitpicking. You can still play and transform the thing , given my experience in regards to Yamato toys and other companies , for me such tiny details aren´t really worth worrying about. that´s just MHO though
  15. Mate is she HOT. I have to agree her assets look a bit smaller than they actually are
  16. Mate , those are my thought exactly. 100% agreed. sooooo....that means Graham´s sample might have been an isolated case ? Just a question thought: Does the gaps still remain after perfect locking ? I hate to say this but I think all of people´s whining and bitching may have been uselesss. A few things people should´ve taken into account when complaining were: - You just read ONE review , that review is lmited to ONE (faulthy) toy. - Get the toy before you bitch - Just as Graham didn´t notice the knee bending feature , it was also plausible that he couldn´t figure out or notive the right way to lock the legs , which is quite comprehensible given the fact the instruction manual is so fu**ed up.
  17. I always try to expect better from MW, but always get disappointed. Vostok 7 Expect better? Why should anyone be considered foolish for not wanting to give Yamato money when there's a huge mistake on their product? I was fine with the little things on the 1/48, things that didn't have an effect on transformation or the overall stability of the toy. This wing clip mistake is just too big for me to overlook. It's an asinine error that should have been caught before these things left the factory, it seems to keep the wings from fitting tightly and when they are pulled back for a better fit there are ugly gaps. I want this thing as much as anyone, but not until that mistake is corrected. I just hope there aren't even bigger flaws discovered as time goes by... Wow dude , you sound as if they had killed your mother ! seriously , aren´t we kinda exaggerating a little bit here ? how can you say it´s a HUGE problem ? or that it´s an impediment or an obstacle for transformation ? Have you ever played with/transformed a Koenig before in your life ? As far as I know no one noticed those so called ¨ugly gaps¨ until the tab-thigy was brought up , so how can it be that horrible or notorious if it hadn´t been brought up before. I wholeheartedly agree that we just shouldn´t pay Yamato for their crappy products , that our money is our best sign of power over them and all that , that we shouldn´t accept anymore significant flaws from them BUT isn´t it an exaggeration to actually bitch about this crappy tab-thingy when you can still transform , display and play with the damn toy without problems ? I bet the difference that this tab-thingy would make if properly molded wouldn´t bigger than 2 or 3 mm. I support and respect your stance though , I myself feel the same way about Yamato in some regards but it´s just sad to hear you actually prefer to cancel your order just by reading a little notice in an internet forum and before even getting the toy yourself. so to sum it up , I just hope you can get yours in time before they dissapear from the market alla Low vis and realise they won´t be getting re-released. Hopefully I´ll have to eat my own words and Yamato does a quick revision of this flaws , if its a more-than-one production run. But knowing them..
  18. Aegis!

    YF-19

surely Godzilla or Graham will get all of them , possily murdering one another in the process and then they´ll be MIIIIIIIIIIINEEE.... mmm , sorry just found my pills , anyway , I didn´t expect only 10 units , the only thing I hope results from all this is that Yamato notices this buddy and make their on toy. actually there´s been quite a lot of people who have figured out a perfect variable Vf-19 , I wonder how they cannot pull it off yet considering all this and their resources.
  19. Please note the 'if ever' that I ended my post with. i don't 'expect' anything. Glad I could be the object of your sarcastic post, though. pardon me if I made myself appear as rude or sarcastic , it sincerely wasn´t my intention , It´s my fault for not reading your post carefully , it just appeared unusual to me someone would want a re-release so early. back to topic , I really hope takatoys can come up with some nice stickers.
  20. Wouldn't call it a mystery peice. Although it's not mentioned in the instruction manual, this missile launcher is shown in the VB-6 line art in one of the VF-X2 game books. The legs still can lock in shuttle mode, you just gotta make sure that when they go on the tab you pull them back about 1-2mm. It's still not a very good lock though and they do fall off the tab quite easily. Yes, it probably would have made more sense and been more secure if the tab was facing backwards. Graham You mention in the review that the tab may have been assmebled backwards, and in the photo the piece does look seperate from the main body. Is it glued in, if so is there anyway to remove it and maybe stick it in the correct way? That's what I want to know. If it's not easily fixable I'll probably cancel my preorder and wait for a 'fixed' version to come out, if ever. hahaha you actually expect a revised version of the Koenig ? Mate , this is Yamato we´re talking about , this is probably going to be a one-release product given the rather small popularity of the post VF-1 valks. Just look at the 1/48 series , which valks did get (re)re-released at the end ? only the popular ones ( with the exception of the LV) , that being the 1S and 1A. If this toy doesn´t show some signs of popularity forget it. So far if those are the only flaws I´ll be willing to buy one or two without regret , really , those aren´t such much big flaws for a Yamato toy , actually it´s got to be one of the few toys they´ve released without significant flaws together with the 1/48s. A bit Ot but , is anyone thinking of customising their Koenigs ? I´m guessing this toys has a hella lot of pieces but it can´t be that difficult compared to the 1/48 , considering is so freaking big...me thinks of a Millia custom or a camo paint scheme.
  21. 50% trying to find out if the VF-0 is out, 50% making light of Aegis! complaining about something that isn't even released yet Vostok 7 sorry I should´ve clarified that IMHO the sculpt of the 1/100 VF-0 was lacking in quality in contrast to past and present Yamato releases as far as my POV. I wasn´t trying to say that it IS a bad product , just that it looks like one. anyway , I plan on getting one of these ( the Koenig toy ) by February , oh and I still dream of a VF-0D and a VF-5000 by yamato
  22. I´m so getting this geezer. Ypu know , to actually be looking at a Koenig toy after all the years I´ve been waiting for Yamato to realise how cool the VF-X2 valks are is so nice. anyway , all I really have to say is DAMN , it looks so freaking fine , I realli didn´t expect a Yamato toy to look this good considering how bad pitiful their toys have been of lately ( VF-0 anyone ?). hopefully it turns out to be as cool quality-wise as it looks. how I wish they do a VF-0D
  23. I wonder what will the final prices be once he puts them for definitive sale. hopefully no more than the Super 1Js
