Yes, noticed that too on the Arcadia Garland. And I regret to inform you that the answer to your question sadly is a solid yes. But perhaps for a slightly different reason than usual though...it's not that they're cheap joints...it's the weight. And for that reason, you could argue that they aren't the right (or best) joints for handling this weight (perhaps an engineering shortcoming afterall). The die cast in the arms is heavy, but also fairly balanced as-is for posing to where the shoulders can reliably handle poses with the arms extended straight out to the side. But add the gun and it's like it tipped the scales and became too much in certain extended poses if that makes sense. And likewise, the sheer amount of die cast in the upper-body/cowl makes for quite the top heavy load right at the hips resulting in this same drawback. This indeed is pretty disappointing for the price...but at least like you were able to revive the Arcadia Garland's shoulders, the floor polish injected at the affected areas notably improved these issues rather well in my opinion. But not completely, cause gravity.

Yikes, what was fewture thinking of putting diecast in the forearms without using some proper weight bearing ratchets to overcome gravity. Thanks for all your input man. In the end I think I'll just settle with my Arcadia Garland for the time being.

Well I thought we could wait a few more months at this point ;)

So when you open the big box there's a nice sticker that says "DO NOT OPEN" on the middle box that has another box in it...

    0-12.jpeg

Just kidding (but not about the sticker) so quick first impressions (gonna leave the actual reviewing up to the reviewers):

    - for starters...this is NO froppy mess! (in bike mode it does not snap undone like in video poster earlier), however, in slave mode he's kinda top heavy but nothing a little future floor wax can't remedy

    0-7.jpeg

    0-6.jpeg

    - you can fully transform it without removing the arms! Yah!

    0-2.jpeg

    - it is a very unique and ingenious transformation that has lots of little gimmicks you can appreciate (where things fold up is pretty cool)

    0-3.jpeg

    - impressive to hold (feels heavy at 20.8oz compared to Arcadia's 11.5oz) and so much detail (ex. mesh vents, Bahamut stamped engine, moving shift pedals, Garland logos)

    0-9.jpeg

    - at first it's pretty confusing...make that very confusing. everything is such tight clearance you have a bunch of "oh man am I gonna break this thing" moments

    - since some assembly's required upon opening it is not advised to try anything without the manual, there are A LOT of cautions, sharp edges, and non-intuitive rotation (for ex. where you think the legs attach on the sides in bike mode is not what you think, but it also makes sure that the Freeing E=X failure collapse will never happen)

    - make sure to PAY ATTENTION to anytime in the manual there is a yellow circle with a "!" in it!!! (already having paint chips near the tail lights due to how tight the clearance on the rear hatch is :(

    - was it worth the wait? well that of course lies in the eye of the beholder but for me since placing the order in 5/2016, I would say unmistakably a resounding YES!!!

Thank you for your first impressions! How well does it pose in slave mode? All I've seen is of pictures of it just kind of standing there. How are the joints? Any ratchet joints?

FedEx JUST rang my doorbell!!!   HOW do I NOT open this for a WHOLE OTHER MONTH??!!

EDIT: USAGUNDAMSTORE is a rock sold place to go to.  Texted me a few days ago with a link to a map that tracks your package, this morning it showed the package in my neighborhood.  I also got a text this morning saying my item was Out For Delivery.  Package arrived with no damage and well sealed.  Highly recommended, they were pay up front however.

Seconded on USAGUNDAMSTORE. Bought from them a few times and both times were a good experience. They also have a good amount of coupons each week 15% - 25% depending on the week.

Oh I'm referring to the design of the landing gear wheels. Look how that rear-gear door is almost flush with the table.

Maybe you can just fold the white doors back up to be less of an eye sore?

  5. For the price, I hope all of the markings are printed on! No stickers!  Overall, looks gorgeous. I love that you can open the cockpit hatch in solider mode. Cool stuff man. I'm hoping you can do a little more as far as posing goes, but we shall see in-hand. June 2020 is pretty far away so plenty of time to save.

  6. The 3zero Ingram looks good for the most part. The lack of ankle tilt in some of the promo pics is a little concerning and I feel the green visor looks a bit too big. For a 9 inch articulated robot toy the price is quite good in this day and age of $300 + japanese robot toys.

The Legioss should be up for PO soon. My wallet is ready.

Soon....soon...soon. hopefully this month and it would be cool to see the legioss in some dynamic poses and hopefully it has a good amount of tampo printing.

Beautiful fun pictures there @SuperHobo! I would have never attempted poses like that if you didn’t make me aware of them. Excellent review.

No problem. I always enjoy trying to show-off what a toy is capable of to really get the fully experience out of it. One more pic to get the Obari sword pose.

  9. Dairugger thoughts:

This guy is very fun to combine in all of his modes and there's a high sense of satisfaction when doing so. The paint is beautiful and it has a ton of details picked out on each vehicle. Articulation in combined mode is pretty good, but I'm not sure how long those hinges at the ankles and torso will last before they need some super glue for tightening. The hinges are tight for now. All of the modes are pretty solid with one exception. In full Dairugger mode the blue copter does not connect as solidly as the red copter does to the right shoulder. When you manipulate the left shoulder it stays in for the most part until you use the outward (abduction) motion of the shoulder. The outward motion of the shoulder is a double jointed hinge and ratchet that is pretty tight when you want to get the joints to end range. However, once you get the arm posed it stays on Dairugger without issue. I would also be careful when bending the right knee. You want to make sure the bottom knee block is aligned before bending the actual knee otherwise it could catch at a point and it will make it difficult to bend the knee without the connection coming undone. Finally, taking the red jet off of the chest is a little scary tight . I recommend, to apply force on the red jet in and up to release the top connector first. While I appreciate the elbows being double ratchet joints, I wish they would have worked in some more range as the elbow probably bends about 70 degrees.

So far a pretty good effort from Bandai to realize a fully combining and articulated Dairugger XV. Bandai brought their A game here on the engineering and accessory end. I do wish the left shoulder connection was tweaked a bit more to withstand the outward shoulder joint's tight tolerances. For now enjoy some pictures and some examples of the articulation you can pull off.

Demon Slayer ended on a big high. Art and animation are top notch as always. It's a shame about the Dumb and Dumber characters that ruined every scene they were in with their ceaseless screaming.

Those two characters are so bad IMO I couldn't even reach the apparently amazing episode 19 that got a lot of attention. Usually, I'm okay with slapstick characters, but these two are beyond obnoxious.

This pics belong to the same issue a few previous post? or is a new one?

Yup, those are mine. I had to take some pics and show Mr. K to let them know this is happening to some VF-0S over time. He acknowledged this problem and are trying to rectify future molds to not have this problem.
