I can forgive the nubmarks and a few tiny paint blemishes here and there. However, the funnel encasing not closing all the way, or the gun barrel not being fully straight or the shoulders not being strong enough to hold the shield might bother me. Not sure what was wrong with the backpack clip? Please don't be a case of weak plastic cracking.

What's with the LED, I thought they were going to change it from red to yellow on the final. Boo!!!!!

lol my sazabi has been updated with 2 tracking numbers

LOL ShowZ is reading our posts and double checking their shipping lists.

Looking forward to pics and reviews from you guys. I'm taking a courageous "want and see" stance.

This is probably the smarter idea to do and if batch one comes out great you can jump in for batch 2.

Mine too, i hope they will be finish together on my post office.

A dual finish will make us all winners.

Probably they separate the 2 boxes on each shipping to save cost(?). Like what they did on the 00 XN-Riser. Though I just received 1 tracking number from them for that.

Yes, I got two tracking numbers.

Interesting,  while I would prefer both parts coming in one package, as long as they arrive at the same time it's all good.  Maybe after slaginpit's order they were just like screw it, one box is too big and expensive.

That would be nice, though I'd rather get a Codarl first.

Unfortunately the Laevatein and Arbalest seem to have sold poorly, and their aftermarket is at or below MSRP, so unlikely we'll see any more FMP stuff.

At least I've got my 2 Gernsbacks.

It's amazing we got the gernsbacks so we can at least have the original team. Maybe a wish and a prayer for one last season of FMP with proper time and budget will happen, and maybe we get a few more MBs to round out the final hurrah.

WOOOOOO my Sazabi has shipped. Will do a review on it

My copy also shipped. So far I've only seen one isolated report that the joint was missing from the waist on their copy of Sazabi. Otherwise, they seem to be coming out well. I'm still hoping they changed the LED to yellow or green on the final version.

Yeah 1000 plus dollars for a figure that can barely bend its arms and legs. But if they go with a 1/60 its going to raise flags like ever before Even at the $300 mark and they do a "transformer" like improvement knock-off the many people would sell their Bandai versions will have BANDAI banging down doors samurai style

.....And I for one dont want this market to be shut down. THE AMOUNT OF GOUGING from BANDAI needs to stop. Im not one of those rich ASIANS that can simply burn money ... I want to appreciate these designs as much as any other fan.

Agreed. The amount of money Bandai was charging for the Metal Structure Nu is just ridiculous. Seeing what 3Ps are capable of these days for a fraction of the cost is very telling.

I got notifications to pay for those two. I'm assuming that means that they're getting ready to ship. I've never had a Show Z PO before. IDK.

Most likely both of these are coming in stock some time soon. I didn't get notified for Kampfer yet, but that's probably because I could be in the 2nd batch of pre-orders. I knew Sazabi is coming soon, but not this soon . Going to have to figure out how to pay for all of this.

yeah, Cdjapan's normal "stuff doll" description can get a bunch of jokes going at the office :p

But they use "figure" this time for the dx chogokin vf-1s .  B))

My favorite description from CDjapan is "personal use toy" for any gokin or valkyrie I get from them.  My mail-carrier always gets a kick out of it and so do I.

That is exactly what noel is saying.. pulling down the shoulder (proper transformation) will lock all the chest pieces together. Most of the renewal 25 toy I saw in social medias are not properly transformed in this aspect.

the chest is one of the most secured aspect of the 25/29. I played a lot with my 25 and the biggest problem are the hip and system of shoulders jointssss that can't be tightened

Pulling down the shoulders messes with the proportions of the VF-25 and it's still just relying on the tightness of the hinges than a secure male and female part holding parts of the chest together. Even when the shoulders were pulled all the way down the neck assembly still awkwardly floated over the fuselage of the plane.  Bandai did a great job with the VF-31 chest and backplate locking in place with dedicated clips that made for a very solid battroid mode. I'd like to see the same engineering carried over to the 29/25 mold.

And superhobo is saying that it's a crappy "locking" system that doesn't actually lock anything (not to mention it looks stupid).

It's like saying the shoulders aren't loose if you use a Tamashii stand to hold the arms up.

Yup. In other words, no more half-baked locking systems on the 25/29 please.

Regarding the chest, I thought all we have to do with the 25/29’s chest lock mechanism is to pull down more the shoulder portion towards the back so everything locks in place?

For me, I'd want a more well-designed chest locking mechanism where part A and part B make a lock and key kind of connection rather than smooshing parts together and relying on the tightness of hinges to keep it all together. In other words I'd like a locking mechanism similar to the VF-31 mold.

If this has a matte finish like rumours suggest, i will be a sucker and buy this again.

I'd be all in if they changed the hip joints to ratchets, matte finish like you said and made sure the crotch connectors were made of materials that did not crack over time. It would also nice if battroid mode had an improved locking mechanism of the chest.

Good thing I put an order on that Sazabi months ago. :)

I'm not sure with the Sinanju though. If there's a version that doesn't have that metallic plating, would like to have one to display it besides Sazabi. Now the question would be, which company is going to do a 1/100 Nu-Gundam?

Once Bandai pushes their Metal Structure Nu gundam out,  maybe the same guys making the Sazabi will do the Nu. Hopefully, Papa Bandai will keep a blind eye to all of this metal shenanigans going on.

So what is the "definitive" garland to buy at the moment? I've waited for the EX Gokin forever but it seems to be universally disappointing. I don't mind polishing joints and if that makes it THE Garland to get I'm in but if there's a better one out there I'd rather prioritize that.

    Great write ups @Bobby

As far as animation accurate Garland toys go, the arcadia is the best one so far with an excellent transformation scheme and good articulation minus anything at the waist. With that being said the Arcadia one has points such as the knees and chest that are prone to paint chipping. Just bending the knee can scrape the grey paint off. Additionally, you'll probably have to add a thin layer of super glue to the inside of the shoulder joint as it's a metal mushroom peg around a plastic socket and there's not much friction going on in there. On the bright side, no reports of breaking or disintegrating parts like the old Yamato ones......

  14. I remember seeing Yaco's post on twitter and he had the same issue with the hinges cracking in the area folks are pointing out above. I haven't checked my Rei or Stiq, but I will in due time. I'd probably send these images to Sentinel's twitter account and try to make them aware of the issue.

Ah crap I just noticed the left side has a stress mark and I haven't even transformed Yellow's ride armor yet.

Thank you guys and yea I'll probably record the video review tomorrow after work and publish it Thursday.

The sample is looking real good. I was initially worried the ankle tilt would be rather limited, but it seems it has decent range. Hopefully this is one of Threezero's more durable products and continue to release more Japanese mecha for relatively affordable prices.

How do I get Threezero to make a Type Zero from the first movie because I swear that doesn't have an amazing toy yet.
