the review I have seen makes it look like only some parts are painted while mostly are still bare plastic.

I'm unsure if the all of the red surfaces are painted, at the very least it's probably top coated with a semi-matte top coat. There is a ton of detailed paint on this guy and the 1/2 of him that I have looks good in person. 

I got my first half of Sazabi in today. So far what joints I could mess with are tight. Tampo-printing is good, but could be a little sharper. Paint is crisp and well-applied. Plastic quality feels good, not too thin, not overly thick. LED works just fine. Hopefully, when I get part 2 and put him all together he'll be great.

I'd definitely recommend it if you are on the fence.  Also, it's about 11 inches tall to the tip of the antenna and quite hefty. 

 

Kampfer is looking mighty fine there. Poison Toys going strong again. 

Man, the packaging for SInanju is looking pretty "garage kit" like and back alley level of quality.

I wouldn't take it too hard. The issues mentioned above don't sound too bad. No major breakages so that's good. I think as long as I can tighten the inner shoulder joint with some superglue/ floor polish, I should be satisfied.

That used to be my general rule for third party toys, especially for new companies. But since it's Sazabi I jumped the gun. I checked another review and it looks like the inner shoulder joint will have some weight issues. Hopefully, that could be easily remedied.

I can forgive the nubmarks and a few tiny paint blemishes here and there. However, the funnel encasing not closing all the way, or the gun barrel not being fully straight or the shoulders not being strong enough to hold the shield might bother me. Not sure what was wrong with the backpack clip? Please don't be a case of weak plastic cracking. 

What's with the LED, I thought they were going to change it from red to yellow on the final. Boo!!!!!

This is probably the smarter idea to do and if batch one comes out great you can jump in for batch 2.

Probably they separate the 2 boxes on each shipping to save cost(?). Like what they did on the 00 XN-Riser. Though I just received 1 tracking number from them for that.

Interesting,  while I would prefer both parts coming in one package, as long as they arrive at the same time it's all good.  Maybe after slaginpit's order they were just like screw it, one box is too big and expensive. 

Did anyone else get 2 tracking numbers for their Sazabi from ShowZ? I'm wondering if it was just too big to ship in one box?

Unfortunately the Laevatein and Arbalest seem to have sold poorly, and their aftermarket is at or below MSRP, so unlikely we'll see any more FMP stuff.

At least I've got my 2 Gernsbacks.

It's amazing we got the gernsbacks so we can at least have the original team. Maybe a wish and a prayer for one last season of FMP with proper time and budget will happen, and maybe we get a few more MBs to round out the final hurrah.

My copy also shipped. So far I've only seen one isolated report that the joint was missing from the waist on their copy of Sazabi. Otherwise, they seem to be coming out well. I'm still hoping they changed the LED to yellow or green on the final version.

Agreed. The amount of money Bandai was charging for the Metal Structure Nu is just ridiculous. Seeing what 3Ps are capable of these days for a fraction of the cost is very telling.

I want to say maybe a little less than a week after they posted the pre-order. I think the 1st batch initially sold out and then they put it back up for order for the 2nd batch.

Most likely both of these are coming in stock some time soon. I didn't get notified for Kampfer yet, but that's probably because I could be in the 2nd batch of pre-orders. I knew Sazabi is coming soon, but not this soon . Going to have to figure out how to pay for all of this.

My favorite description from CDjapan is "personal use toy" for any gokin or valkyrie I get from them.  My mail-carrier always gets a kick out of it and so do I. 

Despite some drops in quality in Vinland Saga, they really stuck the landing in the end. That was an incredible finale. While I would really like a season 2 I'm not sure it's selling well enough to warrant that......

the chest is one of the most secured aspect of the 25/29. I played a lot with my 25 and the biggest problem are the hip and system of shoulders jointssss that can't be tightened

Pulling down the shoulders messes with the proportions of the VF-25 and it's still just relying on the tightness of the hinges than a secure male and female part holding parts of the chest together. Even when the shoulders were pulled all the way down the neck assembly still awkwardly floated over the fuselage of the plane.  Bandai did a great job with the VF-31 chest and backplate locking in place with dedicated clips that made for a very solid battroid mode. I'd like to see the same engineering carried over to the 29/25 mold.

For me, I'd want a more well-designed chest locking mechanism where part A and part B make a lock and key kind of connection rather than smooshing parts together and relying on the tightness of hinges to keep it all together. In other words I'd like a locking mechanism similar to the VF-31 mold.

I'd be all in if they changed the hip joints to ratchets, matte finish like you said and made sure the crotch connectors were made of materials that did not crack over time. It would also nice if battroid mode had an improved locking mechanism of the chest.
