  1. Exactly why I refuse to buy popcorn or anything in the theatre. 12 bucks for 2 medium sodas and a medium popcorn is a racket and a half. Rather stop by chick-fil-a next door on the way there and spend 10 bucks for 2 full meals, or go to dairy queen afterwards. I will not pay 4 bucks for M&M's or Milk Duds. The ticket prices I can forgive, but come on about the snacks already.
  2. Shows me not to look at the website first
  3. That a good idea. What do most do with the box anyway but display it or put it away. Personaly mine are in the garage out of sight. Ouch! I though that $79.99 was too much at the time. I did see an ebay auction for a MPC gor for $150 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=36568 Damn some people are dumb. Or very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, misinformed.
  4. Dumb question probably, but is Tam getting the Takara? I want my Prime pristine and freshly detailed.
  5. Kind of curious how much movie ticket prices are where you guys are at. Here in Gaithersburg, MD, it averages out at $5.75 for a matinee, and $8.25 for evening shows, per ticket. Snacks continue to skyrocket, to the point I don't even look anymore, and wait until after the movie to get a drink. GF smuggles Hersheys in though Mods, my apologies if this is deemed an inappropriate thread, you can delete if you want with no hard feelings from me.
  6. Ah. Monica Keena......the hottie of one of my favorite "cancelled shows" Undeclared. BTW.....is there any word on a sequel to Freddy vs. Jason? Didn't they film to different endings for this movie? Damn that girl was hot.
  7. Truman Show. The series really did come out kind of a hybrid of both it and Dark City, at least to me. What it meant exactly, we may never know. I can't say I'm happy for another TV Eva-type finale, but the series was pretty good overall. I had stronger conclusions coming out of Serial Experiment Lain, though. I still don't know how Dorothy got up without her memory circuits. I look forward to sitting through both seasons on dvd and seeing if it clicks better. One episode a week probably did not help it any.
  8. I wouldn't mind an Angel Birds. If anything a LE 1/60 of it at least. I still would rather have a 1/48 Blue Rose though.
  9. HLJ took the out of production banner off again. Wonder how many sets they were able to procure this time.
  10. Someone payed 50 bucks for a head Mad props on that sale.
  11. Gamlin had the "white devil" hair from Ace Ventura going, and Docker had at least a decent length head of hair, and they both lived after having their valks smashed to bits.
  12. Who probably heard it from a friend, who probably read it online, on some forum, on some gaming site, from some guy who's on crack, etc, etc,. I love that icon.
  13. haha...and have you seen Sailormoon Live?
  14. I'm leaning towards a 1A. I just hope they use something like the darker brown of the TRU 1/60.
  15. Doesn't look that bad in battroid. It's no Nobel Gundam, but I can see the sailor traits the scheme lends it. Mine would be in permanent Fighter Mode anyway though. I wonder what kind of stunts the Angel Birds would perform.
  16. THIS THREAD WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS OK, what just happened here? This finale left as many questions open if not more than the first season. Pretty well executed, but huh? The season was seeping with dark city traits IMO, but this finale left everything WTF. I am going to have to watch the series from scratch all over again, both seasons, after S2 comes on DVD, and see if it makes more sense. To me it seems like some kind of 40 year old humanity study on a city large scale. Some of the shots implies that most everyone there was an android wether they knew it or not. Is that possible? Roger's informant turned out to be an android even though there was never any reference to that as well. That's what I take from this "stage" they set up. Kind of a "dark city" that we set up ourselves, to learn from after a big war that scorced a lot of the earth. See if they would repeat the same mistakes? I don't know. Either way, I am confused. Eva made more sence in its original ending to me (after I saw it twice though).
  17. If it was the ad with an alien tapping a guy on the shoulder with his mom's severed arm, it was the AvP Jaguar ad.

    1:48 VF-1J

one 1/48 on the shelves doesnt hurt though I already have 2. A Hikaru 1A and a Roy Strike.
  19. Personally, I'd rather see the DYRL -A heads.

I think I'll be satisfied with my 1/60 for now. 1/48 is tempting now but can't get anymore right now.
  21. The box back says Next Stage --- 2004 February. Damn these things went fast this time. Not even 24 hours.
  22. In case anyone wanted any and missed out, HLJ has the Macross figures in stock again apparently. One more chance to try to get a minmei doll. Link
  23. Like I've said before, I would happily pick up a LE 1/48 Angel Birds.
  24. I would imagine the price might go up slightly later on. 9800 is the price for a FP valk, so for full GBP expect a little more. I'd say around 11000 in the end, but we'll see. At the con the price was still TBA, just HLJ had to put something down to create the listing, hence why we cannot pre-order it.
