  1. IIRC, on the Tron DVD set they mentioned that a theatrical sequel was always on the books, but they had a hard time getting money and people involved.
  2. Thanks for the link. As for SE... he was better as a skilled commando, someone who used guns and blades and bare fists. Skilled in the martial arts I can go for, but once he became a ninja was just the shark-jumping moment and the first in a very long spiral of character derailment, IMHO. Super Seekret Ninja Skillz is the realm of C+/B- grade territory. Did anyone watch the CGI GI Joe short film that came out with the toys a few years back? I thought that one was pretty nifty (even with Ninja-Snakes...)
  3. It's got Will Farrel in it! That's enough to make it puke-worthy already!
  4. That went out the window when the comics started Snake Eye down his super seekret ninja skillz arc. It's not like this is anything new, especially when you consider some of the directions the cartoon went...
  5. Agreed on the Unicycle bot. It looks pathetically stupid, but I'll reserve final judgement until after I see the film. Otherwise, it looks like a good flick.
  6. Normally I'm the first one to call crap on crap movies. I haven't seen the third Spider-Man or X-Men films, for example. And yet, this looks decently entertaining. I'll withhold more judgement until more clips and the movie itself is released, but this looks like Iron Man and Transformers: brainless, summer popcorn flick
  7. Tsk tsk tsk. As far as excuses go, that is weak.
  8. Last I heard, this movie was no more. Dunno where I read that, though.
  9. Yes. Yes you should be beaten for that travesty!
  10. Uh... my credit card bill has popped up and is attempting to strangle me. Does that count?
  11. Agreed on all counts. What Robotech really needs is a new TV series, retelling the story right from the beginning. There's just too much story and characters to cram into any one film (or even three films).
  12. Uh... shouldn't the CMs and MH scales be reversed?
  13. By that I meant "screen time". Beast Wars had three seasons of 52 half-hour episodes, giving it a rough total of 26 hours with which to introduce characters, plots, etc. The Baymovie had 143 minutes, or two and a half hours with which to do the same. Not that I'm defending the movie as a masterpiece of anything other than boom, bang, and esplod-a-lot, but it's a bit unfair to compare it to a longer TV series.
  14. To be honest, though, Beast Wars had the time to develop the characters and their own individual quirks as well as advancing the plot. I'm a huge BW fan, but you have to rememeber that TV series' just have more time than movies. And yet people praise BSG for just that reason... [/bSG anti-fanism]
  15. I'd rather have Devistator as the first combiner for the movies...
  16. Tab B on their VF-11, anyone?
  17. I dunno about that. I could handle Famke Jansen in her Pheonix outfit. Or her Jean Grey costume...
  18. "What would you prefer? Yellow spandex?"
  19. Can anyone reccommend some halfway decent Wii games? I'm considering buying a Wii and Wii Fit, but would like to think that's not the only good game for that platform
  20. As awesome as this toy looks, I'm going to hold off on it. At least until the Rand version comes out. And the Rook...
  21. OneCare came with the system (1.5 years ago) and I've been using it right from the start. I noticed a few months back that Windows Firewall was off and turned it back on, but it was only recently that I noticed it kept flipping on and off.
  22. AV and Spybot both say no, but I DO have Microsoft OneCare installed and that has its own firewall. Could it be that OneCare is turning off Vista's to prevent any conflicts?
  23. Possibly. But I regard the Macross mecha as being absurdly overpowered and successive generations are boarding on "designed by powergamer munchkins in RPGs" absurd.
