  1. *snort* Didn't stop the writers from trying to cram that pairing down our throats, sideways.
  2. I would've, but it's not a movie
  3. My list of Guilty Pleasure movies run the gamute of type and scale. Guyver: Dark Hero Tron Under Siege Daredevil Punisher (2004, mostly, but I don't mind the earlier one) Defense Play
  4. I don't think he'd "gladly" do it, but he's more willing to do it and then live with the consequences than anyone else is. Exactly. Couldn't say it any better myself. That's exactly why Tigh is my favourite character on the show. He's more flawed than most TV characters are usually allowed to be, but that only makes him more human. But the best part is when push comes to shove, he puts his problems and issues away and does what he needs to get done. I can't think of any greater character trait I'd like to have myself.
  5. Along those lines, I'd really like to see this experience change Tigh a bit, maybe giving him some more comfortablness with command. That's one thing that I really praise BSG for doing, giving characters convincible growth and NOT hitting the big reset button at the rolling credits.
  6. 316736[/snapback] Because they stopped trying to be really innovative and have relied on using shock and controversy to sell their products instead. I feel that Max Payne was their last really innovative game that did well enough at approaching the line but not quite crossing it. I really started losing respect for them with Manhunter and so far they've done nothing to win it back. Bully isn't winning them any points, either. I think that people are having problems with GTA and not God of War because GoW is a fantasy game, in a fantasy setting. GTA is set in the modern world and is making light of some really bad things, like violence against women and attacking police officers; two things that really, really aren't good.
  7. Does anyone here know of a handgun/long gun range in the Surrey/GVRD area of British Columbia? Too much time in this thread and a visit to the Wild West Shooting Gallery in West Ed. has given me the desire to start this hobby on my own, but I can't find any place that'll allow said hobby at all.
  8. I wouldn't be surprised if the price went up, actually. Since once the Beta comes out, the demand for Alphas is going to go up as well.
  9. The end fight of Guyver: Dark Hero, between the Guyver and the Guyver Zoanoid. Very cool.
  10. How does that Voltron combo look in real life?
  11. Holy crap, that's HUGE! It takes something like that to make you appreciate just how bulky the Beta Fighter really is. I hope they're able to finesse the link-up and get it so the wings on the Alpha are closer to the misslepods on the Beta.
  12. When you compare it to other Hollywood "military" shows, though? Yeah, the Colonial Marines in Aliens spring to mind. And Cooper was supposed to be insolent and a maverick and not much of a team player, so it's alright that he was played that way on the show
  13. I always felt that SAAB did its best to keep the military as just that, the military. Not the military lite we get on so many other shows. I always liked that about it.
  14. What's the difference between a 5.7mm round and a 5.56mm round that would make the former bannable? And yes, it does look ass, but a simple hacksaw should fix that That doesn't stop me from wanting one
  15. Any more news or new pictures of that civilian P90? I keep trying to convince my family that it would be an appropriate Christmas present
  16. When exactly is this Comicon on, so we can all find out who's lying and who's telling the truth?
  17. Remember that we've all been promised that the Alphas would all be connectable with any Beta fighter that would come out. If Toynami screws this over and forces all of us to double-dip and get another Alpha, they might well have a riot on their hands.
  18. Bah, Bionic Commando, all the way.
  19. Careful. You're attempting to use logic and sane reasoning in the face of all this rhetoric.
  20. The MF isn't in the space battle. It's in the establishing shot of the Senate docking area.
  21. I have but one single problem with Lost: At the start of the show, it was looking like it might be one of the very few shows where I support and enjoy the canon relationship (Kate and the Doctor). Unfortunatly, that seems to have shifted these last few episodes to more of a Kate/Saywer pairing, and that's one that I don't enjoy. So, sadly enough, Lost really isn't anything special to me anymore
  22. Last I heard, Microsoft was looking to release Halo3 on the same day that the PS3 launches
  23. Abusing in what way?
  24. Looks like this one will change that. I dearly hope so, since that's the best part about Batman. The one image I clearly remember from the comics is Alfred watching Batman put himself through a workout that would've toppled even the best of Olympic athletes, pausing only long enough to do some detective practice, and then going back to the workout. That is what Batman really is. So totally focused on his chosen path that he lets nothing get in the way, especially not something stupid like exhaustion. I also hope that they show how his mind really works, how he's not so much Bruce Wayne that dresses in a costume at night so much as he is Batman that dresses up in a costume and goes out in the day. That was the best part about The Animated Series.
  25. I'm really liking these character designs.
