Yowza. Nice collector's item for the phone collector though. 380473 I'm looking at getting an N-Gage so I can play RIFTS: Promise of Power. Heard nothing but good things about that game, and I'm an avid Rifts fan.

The only game coming out soon that'll make me plunk down the cash for a 360 is the new Splinter Cell game. But other than that...
-
Well, it's got these names and credits that scroll on-screen with some background music...

Neither of the two live action Guyver movies ended with an explosion. Call me crazy, but I actually like them.

Official - Weapons Banter Thread
CoryHolmes replied to Mechamaniac's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I admit, I'm becoming more and more interested to see if this is going to be available in Canuckistan. Looks like it'd be fun just to shoot, if not own outright. -
Links? 378916 Don't misunderstand, these aren't official, just fans posting the email responses they get back from Toynami. But given the lack of any officially anounced info, that's why I mentioned them. http://www.robotech.com/community/forum/re...2541&forumid=23 379661 And given the lack of any offical info, that's why I asked for them

Thing is, I don't own a 360 yet, so I can't really compare. It's just that most people rag on the Brick That Looks Like A Controller and I actually like it, almost more than I do the Controller S.
-
Would this be a bad time to point out that I really liked the original X-Box controller?
-
I dunno about that. The new Revolution controller is looking mighty innovative to mine uneducated eyes.

Yamato Garland For Pre-order On Rt.com
CoryHolmes replied to Cyclone's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Actually, they bought the rights to Megazone 23 and used parts of it to make the (thankfully) aborted monstrosity that is Robotech: The Movie. That includes the Garland, which is why many RT sites try to make stats and/or fictional history to include it in the main story. -

Dune Extended Version DVD in May

The sets and the costumes are the two main reasons I even enjoy the miniseries. It reinforced how fuedal the whole setting is. -
Dune Extended Version DVD in May

If you look closely and squint to the side a bit, you'll see that the guns are in the books... after a fashion. In the book, the primary method Paul used to arm the Fremen for war with the Empire was a semi-mystical martial art called the Weirding Way. In the movies, they changed this so that Paul armed the Fremen with a Weirding Module. Same effect, giving the Fremen outside sources of combat to suppliment their natural talents. The movie just made it a bit more literal than the novel. -

Then, who was on Boomer's Raptor when Helo gave up his seat in the series premiere? 374609 See, it's just this sort of garbage that has convinced me that Moore & Co. really have had no idea about what they're doing and how they're going to do it, right from the start. These last few episodes, while individually entertaining, have been so disjointed and unrelated that it's hard to follow who's doing what and where and why and how. I'm starting to see BSG go the way of X-Files and Lost, where everything is so convoluted and bent backwards on itself that nothing makes sense any more.

You are versatile and diverse in your thinking. You have an open mind to that which seems highly unlikely and accept it with a bit of humor. Now if only aliens would stop trying to take over your body. SG-1 (Stargate) 94% Nebuchadnezzar (The Matrix) 88% Moya (Farscape) 75% Serenity (Firefly) 69% Galactica (Battlestar: Galactica) 56% Enterprise D (Star Trek) 50% Babylon 5 (Babylon 5) 50% Deep Space Nine (Star Trek) 44% Millennium Falcon (Star Wars) 38% Andromeda Ascendant (Andromeda) 31% FBI's X-Files Division (The X-Files) 25% Bebop (Cowboy Bebop) 25%

The Worst Anime You've Watched Recently
CoryHolmes replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The most recent "bad" anime that I've watched, after Gasaraki as mentioned before, is the new Guyver show. Great animation, but that's all that's going for it. It's a carbon copy of the manga with one major exception, so there's nothing to be surprised with. If you know the manga, you know each and every step this show is going to take. And while it's beautifully animated, the fights just aren't nearly as dramatic as those in the first animated series. -

The last "new" crappy anime I watched was Gasaraki. Oh, did that ever suck more than anything had sucked before or ever will suck again. The only thing going for it was a pretty decent mecha design, but other than that it was a total rip-off of Evangelion, right down to the main female character's hair style. -
The difference is, the shockwave has the stellar material to propigate through. A nuke going off in space will still create the high temperatures and radiation that you get on the ground, but without any matter to allow the shockwave to travel in, that's limited. It'd be another story if the nuke went off while physically touching a ship's hull, but that wave would still be much less than when in an atmosphere.

You speak the truth. KotoR 1 is the reason I switched to X-Box in the first place and I haven't looked back since.

Indeed. The Alpha is more like a dogfighter than an interceptor, it just doesn't have the tankage in space for reaction mass. However, that's what the Beta was designed for
