  1. I too have a pre with HLJ and I would like to own a VF-2SS, but there are way too many things on this version that irk me. I really don't want to list them because I think it'll just make me hate it more. Ahhh what the heck... it'll be good for reference to see if they change any of this. Please feel free to add anything if I've missed it. Nose cone: is it suppose to be interchangeable? Please don't tell me it's for a sensor, lol. Why did they decide to put the seam right there and not further up/back where there is an actual seam line in the design? The elbows: horrible implementation. The upper bicep is pretty much sitting on a block that's screwed into the forearm. Not to mention the joint in the middle of the bicep. The support bars for the thrusters: there really wasn't any other way to do this? The sliding mechanism was brought up on an earlier post and I'm glad to see its there, but those bars . The hands: too blocky for no reason. It looks like the four fingers have a joint at the knuckle, but it seems like there's no segmentation/separation between the individual fingers. Tabs on the top of the chest (in battroid mode): do the tabs really have to be that big and they couldn't use a better locking mechanism? Honestly with a release date set for near the end of this year I don't think they will be changing much of it and those displays look like the company is set to go into production. Just like everyone else I'll cancel if the final product doesn't look any better.
  2. Usps is the worst! A least an undeliverable slip will tell you they still have it in their possession. They've marked packages delivered countless times only for them to show up days later! Recently once a package showed up two weeks later and during that time the postal delivery worker claimed (in person and took time off his route to explain this to me) that he scanned the package and left it on top of my mailbox. I filed a police report thinking someone stole it! I had to file numerous complaints to the usps managers for them not doing their job and for lying that they mark items delivered when they were not. That should be counted as fraud! Sorry back on topic now...
  3. I'm pretty sure I mentioned that the red sensors are spring loaded pages ago, lol.
  4. I got my second one in from CDJapan just today. USPS has been dropping the ball around my way lately. They lost a domestic package from TFSource claiming it was delivered and only to show up two weeks later. This package from CDJapan was crushed. I guess next time I should go with EMS (it comes in with a different USPS carrier who is more careful with packages). The first one I obtained was from HLJ and was shipped via EMS (got it a little over a week ago). I pulled it out to inspect it quickly and partially transformed it to realign the chest barrels. The foot on the HLJ one was a slightly scraped along the edge of the foot to the point where the plastic slightly fuzzed up. The forearm on the CDJapan one was slightly dinged on an edge near the hand ports. Meh. The usual deal with Bandai is that they have their horrible quality control issues. Both of mine have the rear landing bay doors near their gated parts trimmed down way too much. In a way I guess that was the fault of the engineer who decided to put the gate in a recessed area of a part (causing the factory assembly workers to work harder) . So 2 out of 2 have cosmetic issues right out of the box. I was thinking of swapping the foot from the CD Japan to HLJ's, lol. The good thing is that Bandai's VF-19 look nice... a different take on the 19 compared to Arcadia's YF-19. So far from the light handling I've had with the Bandai, I agree with everyone else on here that one is not better than the other. ***EDIT*** Alright after handling Bandai's a bit more... the Bandai VF-19 does have some better points over the Arcadia YF-19. Bandai's has a number of features that Arcadia's did not. The retractable sensors on the fuselage of the fighter is a nice touch. Not to mention all the other retractable/springy parts. Two different takes on a similar model. Both very nice!
  5. The leg looks like Bandai took some notes from Studio Halfeyes YF-19. And from the looks of it... it seems the shield might slot into the leg during figter mode as well to reduce any gap.
  6. Uhh... how much discount was HLJ offering? I pre-ordered so fast I didn't even look, lol.
  7. One from CDJ and one from HLJ... lol.
  8. I'm a little curious on how the areas behind the upper legs are going to work... ie. how arcadia/yamato used the filler pieces in battroid mode. In this case it looks like the lower portion is fixed in place, yet the upper half looks like removal panels or maybe they're all removable?
  9. I'm not sure what happened, but I received an email from nippon yasan stating they cancelled my preorder on the lucas vf171. Did this happen to anyone else? Edit nvm: it was canceled by mistake and they reinstated my order.
  10. NY up again! GOGOGOGO!
  11. The miss alignment with the wings is probably due to something similar, but one would have to take them apart to determine this. We're not crazy, lol. Overall This YF-19 is awesome! It's solid and everything aligns very well in all the modes. I originally thought the shoulders were too wide from the initial test/sample production pics, but it actually looks great in person. Arcadia definitely made improvements over Yamato's version, but Arcadia also introduced a bunch of small problems in the process by adding on more things. LOL. Yea I agree that the ankles could've seen another redesign, the metal hinges on the wings (for high speed mode) may see some wear and tear over time, the rubbing on the fuselage from sitting in battroid mode, etc. are somethings that were kind of over looked. I even noticed one more tiny thing. The missle bays on the legs. When you lift them up from the bottom, the top half may suffer from some small damage due to the thin vertical tab that is placed there for support. The function of the vertical tab is so the cover doesn't fall into the bay. I don't have pics for this, but you may notice it if you own Arcadia's YF-19. This will eventually lead to some more noticeable damage over time.
  12. Don't be alarmed! So yea... this happened. One of the first things I noticed while it was in fighter mode was that the head was tilted. I finally transformed the YF-19 after the month I've had it (I've been busy with work and gaming, lol). I took apart the visor assembly and attempted to wiggle the head into alignment and it fell apart. It wasn't glued or anything. The thing I noticed that caused the miss alignment was that the rotating axis on the right and the left side of the halves were different diameters. This caused the right half not to sit flush in neck, leaving it with a tilted look. Meh, I guess I'm just leaving this here for reference.
  13. Wow! Nice catch valhary. Not sure how bandai is going to get away with that one lol.
  14. I have three. The first was from Amiami (no known issues). The other two were from HLJ (no known issues).
  15. Awesome stand and nice pics!
  16. I just got mine in from Amiami. This one came in fast! They shipped it out Saturday (the 29th their time) via EMS. I haven't opened it up yet, but here are some box pics. The images on the top and bottom panels are exactly the same.
  17. Wow HLJ updated the name to YF-29, Trollololol...
  18. HLJ has done order limits in the past. Not sure why they did not enforce it this time, but rather have an inconsistent item name. Okay explains the Page Monitor's difference b/w the original and changes.
  19. The other reason why it prob sold out quick at HLJ was because the limit was set to 10 units.
  20. That's true... the USA has horrible ISPs when compared to other countries.
  21. I'm assuming they are using some sort of bot or script. That would have to be the only explanation, lol.
  22. LOL HS re-opened then closed in like 5 secs. Didnt even have enough time to click on the reserve button.
  23. Yea I liked the head from the game renders, but something seems just a little off from the way it was implemented by bandai.
  24. The head looks way busy. A little bit of a turn off: Source: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bandai-DX-Chogokin-Macross-YF-29-Durandal-Ozma-Lee-Variant-/291071899431
  25. The no steps are on both wings in the picture of the high speed mode. You just have to look real closely. If they're normal stickers that's not a problem. It'll just take an hr or so to trim and apply them. However, if they're tampo... that would be awesome! A display stand that could display all the missile armaments would be excellent, but that probably would never happen.
