From a technical pov aside from bandai not having the proper clearance for the antenna maybe some other method (other than the clear plastic cover) could have been used to keep the yf-19 properly seated from being jostled around in the styrofoam tray. A flip upside down with a sharp slam and the weight of the yf-19 itself (& lack of antenna clearance) could've easily cause a snap. The dx vf-19 advance had a styrofoam cross bar (and few of the other frontier valks) when it was packaged. Thanks to jenius for the reference pic.

Maybe a thin layer of nail polish or clear paint on the peg. Edit: Wait I take that back. It doesn't attach via peg in fighter mode. Sorry XD

If they used the one from frontier it was only shown in fighter mode for the movie... I highly doubt they went above and beyond to model/render a gerwalk and battroid mode for the movie production when it wasn't even used at all.

(Macross universe) Engineering wise the vf-30/31 is superior to the 19 and the 30/31 are awesome. Bandai did a great job with producing the DXs for 30/31 and the 19. But I think Bandai went over the top with engineering for the 19 because they did an excellent job with compensating for the anime-magic involved with its chest, legs and arms for fighter mode (the collapseable panels; I think they might've taken influence from Studio Halfeye), where as the 30/31 were mostly pulled straight from existing CG'd models. Design-wise I like the 19 because it really didn't leave much room for kibble (aside from the hip wings in battroid), where as the 30/31 have the backpack kibble, wing flappies, pod dildos. Plus I got a soft spot for the 19's because Macross Plus was what got me back into Macross. Before the internets I thought Macross was over after Macross II... XD

@Chronocidal and @ArchieNov: yea both of you guys are absolutely right about the cardboard panel (chron) amd the stacking of the accessory trays (archie). I completely forgot how the packaging was different when the adv was released under the frontier label. Saved me the trouble of having to dig up my advances to check.

Its definitely their package design and how the packages are padded, shipped and handled in route. Edit* Not sure what they changed b/w the vf19adv packaging and the yf19's that made the difference.

For the TLDR: Safe to say that my 4 out of 4 received were antenna safe. I can definitely say that the packaging design by Bandai didn't help with the antenna issue. The antenna space/void didn't have enough clearance to fail safe any packaging mishaps. The one I received from AmiAmi left a minor/noticeable mark on the cardboard insert sleeve (through the plastic tray covering) over where the antenna is. 3 of 4 had a little small mark on the clear plastic tray covering where the antenna bumped/banged an indentation. Shipping box details: The one that I received from AmiAmi was packaged well, maybe too well. AmiAmi used bubble wrap on the bottom half of the shipping box along with paper padding on the bottom centered, the top, and along both long sides of the box. AmiAmi's shipping box was shorter (in height) than the CDJapan shipping boxes. AmiAmi was shipped and received by DHL (first of the four) which somehow managed to put a pretty deep dent on the outside of the bottom middle (underside) of the shipping box. The product box was unscathed. AmiAmi's shipping packaging was very condensed compared to CDJapan and HLJs. CDJapan bubble wrapped the product box (completely) and paper padded the top of the product box and shipping box space/void. HLJ's was shrink wrapped to a cardboard insert which was cut a tad bit larger than the YF-19 product box. There was minimal space/voiding between the YF-19 product box and HLJ's shipper box.

AE has the end date listed at the end of this month june 25th. Release date is at the end of January of 2019. Thats about 6 months away if you preorder all the way until the closing date. NY can still pull their stunt but that the demand for this wont be high. That shouldnt be the case this time, but you never know.

And it would help to specify which dxs you owned that fell apart. There have been only a few known culprits.

Yea I got as far as submitting my order of 1 before it got jacked. I wasn't aware that they allowed customers a limit of 3. Explains why it moved so fast. -=X

I forgot to mention this (cause I saw it last night/this morning?), its Hobby Search (not Source) XD.

The two slots for the fold booster do not exist on the current VF-19adv's shield. I checked when the official pictures were posted. The slots are shown in all the pictures with a rectangular boarder around it, but in the pictures where the booster is mounted it appears the slots aren't there, beats me... lol.

On Paypal, select the transaction, report an error, select the error (I listed 'other' and stated I ordered from the wrong site). Worse comes to worse I'll just have to call up my cc company and tell them to pull the funds. I accidentally ordered from the wrong site at 430am when I rolled out of bed for the mad rush, lol.

I already started to file on Paypal for a billing error for the transaction with NinNin. I listed that I placed an order at the wrong site.
