guys, i understand my place is brown shipper boxes.

i just got this and can't find a place for it. it's leaning in my kitchen doorway

I was going to say... "wait a sec... a kitchen? that looks like an elevator bank". Denial is the first step you know! I'm jking.. XD

 

Not even an inspection?  

 

How can you guys do this? Getting excited for new toy stuff. Waiting for months to arrive. And not opening it. What does your hearts tell you? 

 

Yea... I've usually been pretty good about opening even for inspection, but I've realized I've fallen off pretty heavily with doing so for the last year. I guess I've been a bit preoccupied with other things and I know the fanboy on me is like "openitopenitopenit". I guess it also has to do with living in NYC and the lack of space. I'm afraid just to leave things out on my desk just for the night (in the event of me being too lazy or tired to put then back in the box after said swooshing) and it gets damaged by some uneventful force. 

To be fair I made sure to inspect the four yf-19s I got earlier last year... for broken head lasers and all, lol.

 

Just got mine. Trying to decide whether to open it or not. I have NOWERE to display it.  

Don't worry you're not the only one. I have three that I haven't opened because I have no room either... lol.

@slide... looks like that one just go a wash or caught some rain. XD

Definitely would require a bit of work for a 'damp'/wet effect.

 

Does anyone know until when the preorders for the VF-31 armor parts will stay open? Is it likely it will stay available past 4/12? Thanks.

I'm not exactly sure, but also on the page it does state that they reserve the right to stop taking orders once they feel they've filled enough orders.

 

The Draken III sporting Siegfried's Super Packs. Or Siegfried's Armor Packs for more firepower.

 

OOOOOOO you just gave me an idea! The armored packs with the little* Drakens on the tips of those loopy things!!! One for each!!! x4 I guess? XD

No, not bad. Doesn't include domestic or international shipping though, nor the ¥700 service fee (or ¥300 if you want basic).

yea I figured the service and shipping fees were not included yet (since the packaging will probably be a decent size).

 

Well, there goes $465. 2 for me, and one for a friend (who is a heavyarms fan).

Decided to put in my order with FromJapan ahead of time, save the hassle.

That's actually not a bad price for already securing orders on FromJapan!

That clip to the existing stand for the cannons/pod is pretty ingenious, but that means the armored vf-31s will always need it's stand to be displayed (in battroid mode*).

There also appears to be an additional clear adapter on the top of the stem (top of the display stand) to support the upper torso.

Just fyi hljs order numbers don't exactly relate 1:1 for vf-31Es. Other order numbers inbetween could've be for other items (which possibly brings the number to even less... maybe <25?). And I think @borgified you were missing a zero or misplaced a number. XD

Uhh... FWIW that was exactly the issue with NY and the VF-31A Kairos. Those of us who got our orders in the first dozen or so were skipped even though we paid in full and NY didn't disclose to their customers the fact that Bandai had officially informed them of the shortage. So in short NY can pull the same fiasco (as with the VF-31A Kairos) as with the VF-31E regardless if you ordered/paid up front immediately.

Mine was cancelled at hlj. XD

Well the difference b/w the ny vf-31a issue was that ny already collected, held payment without disclosing the fact bandai had limited production and not cancelling & refunding orders.  In this case hlj is just cancelling ahead from the given notice of bandai (not having charged anyone yet).

NY themselves in this case are a different story altogether.  For this one I wouldn't leave my $ with NY. Having to retrieve my $ from NY with the vf-31a fiasco was a pain enough that time. 

Just fyi... I just double checked my hlj order number for chuck's vf-31e and I'm guessing any number after mine will probably get chopped from the list:

Let's not try to start an hlj witch hunt lol.

I guess I really shouldn't have tried changing my PayPal agreement payment type with them that night, it caused a delay with completing my order.... lol.

No 10% coupon was offered.

Edit: I guess I could try sending a reply requesting a discount because their email doesn't really provide us much opportunity to find the item else where based upon its high demand amd their generic response... lol.

I just got an email from hlj cancelling my chuck order as well. I'm guessing they going through the orders now.

The other (possible) alternative is if you're packing it back up... is to put the tray holding the yf-19 under the trays with the accessories. I can't exactly recall the arrangement for the accessory tray but (i guess) try to position the trays where there would be ample space/clearance of the head laser. 

I was on the final step as well at NY...
