  1. haha, I was wondering the same about you. I'll send another one. maybe HK gets all their stuff first...but are there no HK fans of Saint Seiya?
  2. anybody get Deathmask yet? I noticed the HK sellers say they have them in hand.
  3. most are stickered. I think they look better that way.
  4. I wouldn't mind one if the price was right either. I know John does great work...and definitely wouldn't want to miss out on this to dress up one of my 1/48s.
  5. well, that's alright...I dont' know why they AREN'T happy about it because they can read how excited all the fans are about their release plans...but hey, I'm not head of a multi-million toy manufacturer. that athena is fugs! lol, too funny...the head looks pretty good but blech on the rest. but definitely a cool idea, and will want to try that one day.
  6. first off, I want to say, I didn't want to step on any toes or piss anybody off and had talked to John about this before I started. and since he has other things to work on, I figured what the hell, I'm gonna give this a crack. second, I'd like to give thanks to Rhoby and EXO for helping me with the project. Rhoby making recast parts that I needed, and EXO for cleaning some of the parts up and making them more presentable. as for the 1D made, there are definitely some things to work out...mor so than I thought when I had left for china apparently, so I'll have to work on them when I get back towards the end of April. I had first designed it to fit only a half pilot(ie legs chopped off), but EXO thinks there is enough room for a whole pilot, but just need to bend the legs a bit and change the back panel a bit. That will be looked into when I get back. Also, probably will include a regular pilot, and an original sculpted fig of minmei. As for the heatshield...it will have to be detachable. I forget now without looking at it why that was, but it had something to do with the original 1/48 design and how I coudlnt' change those to fit the heat shield. The 1D will be available for those who want it and I can start taking preorders now if people are interested. but please remember it is a resin kit more than a toy where there will be some sandy and drilling and painting. but in the end, it should be sturdy enough to handle. Thanks for all the comments and hope to see some really nice 1D customs real soon!
  7. that's really cool news. where are you getting the news from? do you have a link to all the customs you've seen?
  8. uhm, by "surplice" you mean the purple armor of the spectres? if that's the case, are they going to make ALL the gold saint purple armors?
  9. i'll definitely try that with the shields...i just don't like to scratch the chrome. i also noticed that the coloring is not so smooth on some parts for the Libra...it's quite ugly actually having it look like it's scuffed up...anybody else have this problem? and i'd never display these figures w/o the armor...that full body spandex they're wearing isn't exactly all that masculine either
  10. man, not that weekend...well, if I do go, guess I"ll show up with a hangover. EXO come pick me up! lol
  11. picked up a Libra and the new Seiya. gotta love em both. problems with the libra are the stupid shield...they hardly want to stay on the arm or shoulder parts...which is a pain cuz any little movement and they fall off. gonna try some nail polish or something to thicken that part up when I get back to the states. as for Seiya...really cool. a lot more poseability, much much much better head sculpt. and the hands are even easier to put back in. what's great also is that it comes packaged with the old crest and the sagittarius crest as well so you can put the better head sculpt on them. don't have my camera cable to upload the pictures so can't show anything, but these are definitely some nice figures.
  12. haha, have I pissed off the Chilean Dragon?? oh well, some alcohol will fix that! =)
  13. quit showing off you ass! didn't I already say it looks great?? what else you need huh? lol anyway, I didn't take a real close look at the thing. did you dry brush some silver accents ont the frame? still looks damn good. and hey, who's that hotty in the picture? can I get her number? haha nvm, I already go it
  14. haha, that's awesome. should I in some part feel responsible for your good fortune?? nah! all you dood. nice find!
  15. do it baby do it!! that looks bad ass man...glad you're workin on that and can't wait to see it when it's done.
  16. payment info and stuff added in the For Sale section DYRL? hands
  17. thanks for the comments guys. if you're interested email Eternal_Dmw@yahoo.com and I'll start compiling a list. please put in subject "DYRL hands" and in the content, your member ID, name, address etc. I will try to follow up with payment info by the end of this week. and as for the 1D head...I wasn't planning on individual sales of that, but I'll see if that can be worked out.
  18. wow, I'm freakin tired but I've finally done it!! after a year plus, the fixed posed DYRL hands are finished! No more chicken hands! Take that!! Close up. here's the set. these will be for sale soon...please keep an eye out in the For Sale section.
  19. damn that looks really good...gotta get me some of that when i get back.
  20. I've already shown some ppl how far I am with the hands...and it's the open one that's giving me a problem right now...the other ones are done. if thing would dry faster...I should finish the open one tonight and i'll post some pictures.
  21. it's the grease from the food the chinese people eat at the assembly plant...hey, they only pay them pennies a day, you think they're going to have WATER for them to wash up??
  22. hey, I didn't know you're from Jakarta Shinohara. I was there last july for a whole month. didn't really get to do any shopping as I coudln't get around easily lol. tho I did see a hobby store in Mega Mall and as far as Ken gettin the pope figure, do you have to supply your own coupon thing or is he doing it?
  23. There is one on Ebay I've been eyeing...but will probably wait to get it after my trip to ShangHai. Shinohara-nice collection there man...so you've got 3 of each one?? crazy mofo you know what they should do...make some cheapy plastic gold chromed pandora boxes that are like $40 for a set of 12....I'd pick those up if they looked nice enough. then I can set up a throne room diorama of the Sanctuary.
  24. i have the plates and while I've never tried taking them out of the cardboard back they come in, I can't imagine it being too hard to take it out. I'm sure a quick slice around the plate with an x-acto knife will do the trick. I'm going to look for those pandora boxes while I'm in shang-hai...hopefully they'll have it for cheaper.
  25. I'd stay away from the older figures since the Myth versions is the first ones you own. The old figures are fat and ugly, like their torsos are way too big when they have the armor on....and their headas are way too small. I wouldn't recommend them unless they are purely for nostalgic reasons. HK released all of them, but from what I understand, only the torsos are diecast as opposed to the old ones where the arm and legs were also diecast. I just saw these cool lookin capes for the gold saints on ebay...here...looks more anime accurate and the color is better than that purplie paper thin cape that comes with the toy.
