  1. After reading a number of threads like this I'm actually quite glad I've never had any interest in the Alpha. I still like the ride armors though.
  2. Oops, wasn't aware this was a no no Post edited
  3. NOOOOOOO! My eyes, they hurt with the pain of a thousand bee stings...
  4. Meh, it seems kinda boring to me. It's alot like the Jetfires I use to repaint when I was younger ( almost all of which are now gone, I think my parents still have one in a toybox somewhere) The solid black just feels like something a little kid would paint, since it doesn't need any masking.
  5. I'm after 2 parts, both for the 1/60 VF-0A I need one of the Tail fins, Left side I think. I'm at work and I can't check. I just moved and managed to break one of those pointy tail sikes right off in the move. I'm also looking for the Pilot and Pilot seat for the 0A as well, but for a different project. Thank you
  6. You two have nothing to worry about. I've been ordering from HLJ for nearly 10 years, and I've never been burned. And mind you I've ordered alot of stuff over the years, from small 5.00 SD gundams kits to the really pricey Yamatos so I've had plenty of chances for something to go wrong.
  7. Most cool . I had scratched these off my list because I could never afford the ebay prices. Still I need to be ready for a $300+ hit in July now... Aw crap, more like a $500+ hit , I forgot about the SV-51... this does not bode well. Glad I'm getting a raise in May .
  8. Um, wow... Gaudy is all I can think at the moment. I'll cast my vote as fan customs . They kinda resemble the "Space Proving Wing" marking I've seen somewhere else, but only kinda. Then again didn't someone (Graham mabey? not sure) say there was a non-canon, Kawamori designed scheme coming for the YF-19? I'd hate to think this was it
  9. I'm not sure this image can be considered accurate to the canon designs, it's just one that is readily available online and is fairly accurate with a few tweaks to make it look better. But still pretty close to what Yamato is producing Sorry, I should have been more specific. I meant the cannon on the Yamato sculpt is short in comparison to this image.
  10. I just recieved my first Revoltech figure yesterday (Dangaio) nad wow, I was kinda shocked by the size of it. Superb sculpt, but it would completely vanish if I closed my hand around it. Are they all this small? Not complaining, it's posability, paintjob and appearance are beyone superb, it was just kind of a shock. Mabey I've been spoiled by tmy recent Yamato 1/60 purchases
  11. All right, scrap everyting I just said. It's been so long since I watched Bubblegum crisis I've gone and remembered everything all wrong. Fist off, the image supplied by Capt Hungry is in fact the correct Motoslave. so I apologize. This is the Hurricane Motorslave, the first seen in the series and the one Yamato is producing : I have no idea why the cannon is so short anymore, mabey the official artwork is different? This is the Typhoon Motorslave which I thought was the first one able to become an exo suit: This is my favorite version, and Linna and Sylia do in fact get one of these later in the series. Priss's was destroyed in the fight with the D.D. Battlemover Anyway, don't mind me. Just spouting nonsense before I check my facts
  12. That's because the Motoslave that Yamato is producing is Priss's v1 motoslave, not the v2 which is pictured in the line art you posted. For reference v1 and v2 are not official names, just what I call them to differentiate between their incarnations. Both are officially called Motoslave. the v1 motoslave is smaller than the v2, with a smaller gun. all of the Knight Sabers had this version of the motoslave in the anime ( except Nene. If she had one it was never shown.) Also the v1 motoslave could not act as an additional armor/suit, it could only transform into a support mecha. So don't expect to be able to put Priss inside this sculpt of the Motoslave, if it's true to the anime I'm pretty sure you won't be able to. Priss's v1 hardsuit and Motoslave were destroyed during a battle (episode 5 or 6?) and replaced with their v2's (Priss's hard suit in this sculpt is also a v1). The v2 motoslave is larger than the v1, it sports a dual headlight configuration and a beefier frame as well as the longer cannon most are familiar with. Only Priss ever had this version of the Motoslave. In this verison Priss could ride inside it as an extended armor. This is also my favorite incarnation of the motoslave, but it's not the first motoslave to appear in the anime, nor is it the one Yamato is producing. Most likey Yamato opted for this version first because, as I said earlier, all of the Knight Sabers had one. So if it sells well, they can reuse the sculpt for the motoslave and pair it with the other hardsuits to extend the line at a lower cost. In my opinion if they do produce a v2 motoslave, it would probably only be after they release the other 3 hardsuits w motoslave. I'm still on the fence about this one. On the plus side, it's the first motoslave ever produced, its an accurate sculpt, and it has Priss in her v1 suit (my favorite version). On the minus, it's not the v2 motoslave, which I would want more... But if it doesn't sell then theres no chance for a v2 motoslave... Oh well, I have some time to decide. I'll see if I can dig up some good camparison images of the v1 and v2 motoslaves to show all the differnces. PS: when do we get some 2040 hardsuit sculpts?, they had some interesting designs too.
  13. Very Cool, can't wait. Thank you Graham

GRAAAAAA I want a hint... speculating is fun and we need fuel. Anyway, the 11 would be nice, but I'd prefer a 21 more. So this can give me hope even if it's not a hint. Granted, Graham only said that the lyrics weren't a clue, not that we're wrong about the 11 being next... who knows...

Graham has lost his mind? ... or is practicing bad Haiku
  17. I might buy a second YF-19 to do my own non-cannon repaint, but that's about it. The YF-19 was the prototype of the VF-19 so to me it doesn't make alot of sense to have things like a lo-vis, or urban camo version. I could see it for the VF-19, but not the YF-19 BTW wasn't there supposed to be 2nd Yf-19 prototypes in Mac+ (one which was never seen) Is there any cannon artwork of what the second YF-19's markings and paint scheme was?
  18. it's the undetermined number of transformations and the night worth of "wooshing" noises that will occure between the box and my shelf that most worry me. With my luck, it will survive all that intact, and then topple to a glorious demise in the middle of the night for no apparent reason (I'll bet my VF-0A gave him a little nudge)
  19. I have to agree. I just checked my invoice from when HLJ shipped me my YF-19, and EMS cost 4000 yen. The SV-51 will probably cost about the same.
  20. The instructions come in black and white. The color ones you saw might have been from a pre-production sample.
  21. nice scheme. it's definatly an original.
  22. Mabey the parts are die cast or have ratchet joints for stability? I don't agree with the bar idea, which actually sound like a good one to me, because Yamato has been making their 1/60 valks to be able to transform without the need to remove or add parts (except for missles, FP and such) so I don't see them starting now. Mabey they have some kind of internal pin that you slide into place to lock the wings in place?
  23. Everyone should remember that the HLJ price is before shipping, where as Samurai-Monkey has it for $230 shipped. HLJ will only ship it through EMS and that can get pricey. I always use EMS so it make's no difference to me but it costs at least double or more than SAL. HLJ also sells on a Yen to (enter currency here) conversion system, so it may cost more or less when they actually ship because the currency conversion has changed between when you placed the order and when they bill you. This really sucks for me since the US market is taking a beating lately, the $175 I quoted two days ago is now up to over $178 (from the HLJ currency converter, not totally accurate). If it keeps going like I'll be shelling out over $300 by the time it's in stock
  24. never mind. I just got a chance to look at some of the earlier posts and this picture kinda sinks my theory http://ga.sbcr.jp/g-toys/miyazawa2/01/03.html theres no indication of a push in type part on the underside of the nosecone. Oh Well
  25. I've been thinking about how the nose folds into the fuselage where the landing gear is. I know the question of how it was accomplished has been brought up before but here's my thought on it. On the YF-19, Yamato made the black glare shield (at the front of the canopy) able to be pushed down, so the nose could fit more flush when in battroid mode. My theory it that there is a similar piece on the underside of the nosecone on the SV-51 (that we cant see in the pics) that pushes in to allow room for the landing gear when its folded back in batroid mode.
