I should have gotten more trident stands back then when they were cheaper.

I still want to do an updated Fighter setup too.

Your fighter set up would look amazing! I always think of this when i think about your collection...sh9000h.jpg.5e4ed5c89f726a46dbf8464e000d7d8e.jpg

Same reason I got a pair too, naked ve-1 is   close to a stealth vf-1 valk one can get..

Yeah , they look Low-vis-ish. My only gripe is the fighter stand adaptor included only for fast pack use. TBH it should come with both fastpack, and non-fast pack stand adaptor

    Excellent! Thanks!

NP, and take pics of your display when you are done with it!

I really, really like that setup @vlenhoff. I've been thinking of copying you. It looks like you have a  bunch of Tamashii stands in there. I have a few of the basic Stage Act 5's HERE. Is that what you're working with?

I like that you can get so many in one cube of a Detolf.

Please copy away! I got those, but they have a smoked base, so i combined them with these to seal the deal.

  4. SO i got a double VE-1 when they came out, and i was planing to trade it for something later on... but... they look so good naked.

The already crowded space just got another fighter.473715928_macrossjam6.thumb.jpg.d4e08f39edcdafa0c8ffacadf03bbf67.jpg

Glad to know that I'm not the only one who has artfully arranged the boxes. And I wholeheartedly agree that the non-transforming entries are the real stars of this line, but the valks are still a lot of fun to handle.

I arranged the boxes like that only for a picture, and I liked them so much, I kept them displayed like that, lol.

I blame at least half of my HMR collection, specially the Monster, on SH9000, and some other cool members, thanks! Up to that point it was only enemy Mecha vs 1J Hikkie.

  6. It is too late. I limited myself to one transforming HM[R] Hikaru 1J, and look at what happened. If you didn't notice, the 1J is not even in the picture. 8 indiscretions later... Well, actually 9.

Yes, even the boxes are cool. Damn you Bandai!!!

I noticed that too. Maybe he uses paper craft to do quick mock-ups? Or they staged it that way intentionally.

i feel like there’s a joke about space foods in here somewhere...

Or maybe it was a gift from a fan, or family member. Or maybe he is so blind/used to Macross stuff, someone replaced the original with a paper cut out, and he hasn't noticed.

    Mine doesn't look that cool.:cray:

LOL, I took a look at mine to see the difference. yes it could use some panel lining... but i am fresh out of time right now, so it will have to wait.

Found a Glaug on Mandrake with "severely damaged box" (whatever, I don't care) for $75. But because I hav an addiction issue with toys apparently and I needed to justify shipping.....I got a few more things. Man, I've got problems.

And now I have a new problem. This is my first enemy mech. Gonna need more!

Let us know the state of your Glaug's box when it arrives. Mandarake said the same about my Spartan box, and it wasn't that bad. Congrats on your Glaug!

I keep saying, the Destroids and all other Non-Valk HMR releases are the true stars of the HMR line. It's great to have them all, which makes the HMR line greater as a whole.

    Agreed!

Yeah, I suspected the 1D came with one, but wasn't sure.  I actually haven't opened mine yet.

And @vlenhoff, you're making me want to go ahead and pick up a Spartan. It's not my favorite destroid, but maybe it would satisfy my desire for a Tomahawk in the short term. I would really love to get a Monster, but realistically don't have the space.

For 6000 yen, it was a no brainier. I would have paid more, now that I have it hand. It is just a very nice destroid all around.

Mandarake is like the most anal-retentive otaku out there about boxes, in a good way (for us).  A smudge and a little dent and it's like a C- to them.

I'm glad you're liking the Spartan.  It just adds to the credo that the non-transforming mechs really are the stars of this line.

Yes, we are lucky Mandarake really is picky about these things. Yep, the stars and of the line indeed!

Glad you got the spartan @vlenhoff  It's one of my favorites in the line.

and now, it is for me too. I love how it compliments the Monster and the Defender.

@vlenhoff Congrats on getting a Spartan and very nice display and pics!

@ScrambledValkyrie You should get a Spartan and Monster.  All of the Destroids are great.

Thanks SH9000.. you do know... this is all your fault right? The moment you said thr mOnster could fit in a Detolf, and then linking me to that lovely price to buy it. And then giving me that awesome deal on the VF-4. I can only say thanks!

@ScrambledValkyrie What SH9000 said.. and the Monster fits in a detolf!

Two Glaug's have showed up at Mandrake in the last week. I got emails each time (they're on my alert list). I usually get up about 4:45-5:00am. I missed both. I swear I'm meant not to have enemy mecha.

Hang in there, it will happen! I also like my Glaug very much. Like many here have said before, the non transforming mecha are the meat of the sandwich. This is why i promised myself i would only have TV HIkkie as the only tranforming mecha of this line.... and I failed!1422357071_browniefleet.thumb.jpg.009a6ae6b33158d7ef5385aef5201c74.jpg

@vlenhoff yup the spartan really feels like HI Metal.  if all the mechs were as good quality as the spartan, the HMR line would compete with the DX line.  Me too, I don't really like the spartan design in the TV series compared with the Tomahawk/defender/monster, but in hand, it is rock solid.  It's like the regult and glaug, in hand it's quality.

Yeah, it is a hefty little lovely thing, i am very glad i pulled the trigger.

Agreed. The Spartan has always been my least favorite destroid and yet I love the little HMR guy to death. The detailing is fantastic for the size; he feels quite hefty and solid to play with. My only small complaint is the cockpit doesn't open at all like the Monster and Defender. But that is so minor compared to everything else.

Yeah, that would be it's only drawback, I agree.
