Love the old school commercial. If only we could get a DX with fast packs at that price today. As for Max and Milia, it is only a matter of when. Knowing Bandai though, they will make them TWE.

Picked up a pre-order at AE for the armour. It is so nice to be able to relax a little bit for once and not stress out on a pre-order night. Lucky for me I don't need another VF-1J and I could just order the armour. Having said that though, good luck to everyone seeking the bundle. I hope you all manage to secure a pre-order. Reposting my comment from yesterday as it was scrubbed from the "other" thread. -

Received my copy of Shoji Kawamori's Designers Note on the 24th via DHL. Couldn't believe that it arrived before Christmas but what a nice surprise. Man that book is heavy. I really wasn't paying attention to the page count so I was taken aback at the size of the book. Now that Christmas is over I am really looking forward to looking through it.

I wondered how long it would be before someone saw the listing. I sent them a request on Friday and they sent me a link to the listing on Monday. I figured it was worth a shot as they have carried P-Bandai items in the past. Today I received my confirmation of purchase from them. Thanks to jvmacross for the link to P-Bandai site. I was having trouble getting the address to send CDJ. In other news I received my TV Supers from AE yesterday. They pack really well. Arrived in perfect condition. Only wished I could have placed my VF-1D order though them but I missed the window by eight hours. Hehe. Congrats to everyone who has been able to order one. Now we wait.

Don't feel too bummed out. With Hikaru's VF-1S, I missed out on the pre-order, but I just checked the listing on release day and the day after and I was able to snag one from HLJ. There will be some available on or just after release for retail or close to. Just don't give in to the scalpers. I have been in this game for 20 years (Did I just say that?) and the one thing I have learned is to be patient with these releases. It is much harder now than it ever was but don't lose faith. The only DX I was ever able to pre-order before last night was the VF-1J. I consider it complete blind luck that I was able to get a pre-order in for Fokker this morning. Then I had to go to work with three hours sleep. Thank you coffee for helping me through the day.

Whatever the colour really is, I will still be picking this one up. I have been waiting a long time for a Tomahawk. Besides, I am in Tokyo next week and I plan to pop by the tamashii display and check it out in person. I'll let you guys know what it looks like in the flesh and if it really does have that mauve tint to it.

Got both at HLJ. Searching there can be a really tricky thing. Thankfully I found them both before they stopped order. Messer sure went fast tonight compared to the last two.

Just paid for mine at HLJ having used the secure link to order one. I am surprised it went through. I am not taking any chances and I have put in a shipping request along with some other stuff I had in my private warehouse. Let's hope there are no hiccups along the way. I really hope everyone can get one as it truly looks like Bandai put together a winner with this one.

After seeing that video and all the great pictures of it, I am really happy I was finally able to snag a preorder thru CDJ last night. Looking forward to Bandai's take on this Valkyrie.

Man I seem to have the worst luck. Struck out again. I don't even bother with Ami Ami anymore, so I concentrated on HLJ. I stayed with them until 11 pacific and then decided to go to bed. Got up at four to get ready for work and refreshed the page there until 5am when I had to start work. Then I find out later that they posted it at 11mins past 5 and there was no real limit on how many could be purchased (correct me if I am wrong). Argh! can't believe I missed it by 10 mins. HLJ can be so random at times Here's hoping that Bandai will make a ton of them and the pre-orders re-open or there is some at release. I am sure there will but I do like to have my order locked in. I guess I used up my luck to get the Ozma YF-29. Still need Ozma's 25 though.

Just received mine today from HLJ. Looks great and is such a step above the Yamato. No damage to the box or valk. I was hesitant after all the bad news in this thread, but I have no regrets now that I have it in hand.

Managed to get an order in for the VF-19. At least I think so. It's in my order queue, so I am hopeful that I got one. Also saw that the 30th Ann. VF-1J is still there and seems to get no love. I still haven't warmed up to it yet. It's too bad about the Macross Quarter too as it's not that bad. I picked one up the last time it was 50% off at HLJ and I really like it. It is far from perfect, but it is still nice enough to display with the rest of my Macross Frontier stuff.

Woot! Finally managed to snag one of these at a reasonable price. Thanks for the heads up on HLJ re-opening pre-orders guys! Now I just have to keep an eye out for the YF-25 to re-open for orders.

Yes! Just placed my order. Didn't have to stay up all night too. I am starting to like these HLJ listing stealth activations. Got my RVF 25 the same way.

One of my leg armour pieces was really badly flawed. So thanks for the heads up about your auction. Too bad I couldn't have just bought them from you directly as we live in the same area. Save me the bidding war. hehe =D

I think they are still working on alot of problems with their new site and systems. I received my 171 on Monday in a combined order but I still have no indication of the shipping amount for it. I do pay for my orders by credit card though and use the new private warehouse feature, so it may have been charged but is not listed in my account. Also the communication is a little slower than usual. Give them some time on a response though, they will get back to you. It took them a week to get back to me about a product question I had . Never before has it taken that long, but I did get an answer.

Hehe. Only problem for me with these programs, is that my computer is two floors away from my bedroom and I think the volume on the music would be loud enough to wake everyone in my house from that distance.

I almost thought I was seeing things when I got up this morning and checked HLJ. It was 4:15 PST and I was eating breakfast and thought, "what the heck, let's check HLJ to see if the pre-order is open again". Low and behold it was . Preordered one and then ordered another. Hopefully they will be able to fulfill the orders I placed. I recently pre-ordered the Sound Blaster reissue a full four months in advance and still didn't get it. Takara didn't ship enough to them. So... I will only believe it when I see them in my hands in June. Until then, anything can happen. At least I don't have to stalk HLJ anymore

Received mine today. Overall I am happy with it. My alto had better paint aps than the ozma. I had to touch up the skull on the top. The sword blade ran over the top of the skull. Looks better now but still, I shouldn't have to touch up a $150 toy/collectable. Oh well, that's mass production for ya.

Great comparison pictures of the two. I sold my V.1 a long time ago so I could only remember how it looked compared to the new one. I still think that the VF-1D was one of the best version one valks, but compared to the new one, it is quite lacking. Just got mine from Overdrive today (Wow were they ever fast) and I can say that it is better than I thought it would be. Everything is super tight. So much so that I loosened the shoulder screws so that I can pose the arms easier. They were way too tight. Yamato has really hit their stride with this one. Time to save up for Max...

Well I don't mind paying for the parts at all but I wish I had put in the request for the shoulder hinges along with my last request. I'll take your advice and loosen the replacement hinges shoulder screws to relieve some of the stress on the hinge. Just frustrates me that I haven't touched the valkyrie in over two months and when I last looked at the hinges they were fine. No cracks and not broken. They spontaneously cracked and broke without me touching it. Oh well, I will keep my fingers crossed that overdrive can come through for me again. Until then all Yamato Valkyrie purchases are on hold. Cheers!
