  1. Just got my parts from Overdrive yesturday. Talk about fast. Great service from Overdrive. I will have to use them in the future for more purchases. Just have to wait for the dollar to get stronger before I do that. Argh! I just replaced the head on my VF-1S only to find that both of the shoulder hinges are cracked! I hope Yamato has fixed this problem by now. Looks like I will be sending another request to Overdrive. This time for replacement shoulder hinges. I may have to re-think any further purchases of yamato ver. 2 1/60s.
  2. I just submitted a request for a part from Overdrive. My first one didn't go through so I contacted them and they just asked me to re-submit it. They then emailed me to tell me that they got it the second time. Great comunication and very helpful. A real class act. I just hope that Yamato will fulfill my parts request. Now the waiting game begins.
  3. Culverin, Don't worry, I am keeping them sealed in the blisters. I have doubles of all of them assembled and painted. The only ones I don't have painted are the LAMs. They will remain in the blisters. As for buyers, Not to worry, I am going to hold on to them for now.
  4. Skull Leader, I know how the game works . I have been playing it for over 15 years. Of course the chances are the same with each mech. I was only commenting on how it always seemed that when I fielded the BattleMaster that it took a headshot. I should have been more clear in my post. p.s. Culverin, the stinger and wasp look great. Very nicely painted. The bases are especially well done.
  5. Great news about the Vulcan. Truly a unique plane. As for the Arrow, that was a tragedy. However it did start the great canadian tradition of: Why build it ourselves when we can buy it from someone else at a greater price and still have to fix it to make it work in our canadian climate.
  6. Wow! Those bring back memories. I still have all the Macross designs that Battletech used in the original packaging before Fasa lost the license. I was planning on painting them up as they are in Macross but never got around to it. One of my favorites was the Battle Master. If I am not mistaken, I think that was taken from Dougram. Strangely, It seems it was always prone to head shots in Battletech.
  7. I wouldn't worry too much about your preorder. However I ordered mine the day it was listed back on the 17th of September and have not received any confirmation of shipping yet. I went through the same thing with my smokescreen and I ordered it quite a while after it was listed on HLJ. Would I have liked to get it shipped as soon as it came out? Yes and it now is Am I all that worried about not getting one? Not any more I just have to stay patient Well I don't have to be too patient now. Just got my confirmation of processing and it should be on its way soon. Best christmas present to myself in years.
  8. The Super O is great. I really like mine. Good fit and the only issue I have with it, is the chestplate is hard to lock in. Other than that I recommend it.
  9. Holy Cow!!! When I saw the proto pics I was sure I would have to go further into debt. Now that I have seen these coloured photos, it has been clinched. I fear my credit cards will never get a rest.
  10. Hehe... It is interesting to hear the reaction to these two releases. I purchased both and I feel the same as some others here. I am mixed on my feelings. I always wanted both of these, especially the VT-1. Between the two of them I think the Ostrich is the better. At least mine is, no real problems with it. My VE had floppy backpack syndrome and the nose cone had a huge amount of glue smeared on it . Needless to say I had to repaint the nose and now it looks far better. I also managed to correct the backpack on it. The real gripe I have with both of these is how difficult it is to get the chest plate locked in Battroid mode. That takes alot of work . Overall I rate the VE 6 out of 10 and the VT 8 out 10. My Strike and 1D are still the best of all of mine. I would only purchase these two if you want to complete your 1/60 collection. That is the only reason I did.
  11. Oh man that sucks! I hate hearing of a fellow Subie owner getting their car tagged. Takes me back to the time I got smucked by an inattentive Corolla owner.
