When I was a kid I kind of always thought of the GBP armor seemed like the Reese's Peanut Butter cup of Macross..."You got your Valkyrie in my Spartan! You got your Spartan in my Valkyrie!" because for some reason when I was young the designs just struck me as very similar. Love that they worked it into DYRL for a moment...I like some of the ideas here...I'd never thought about it that deeply. Also, the "Defense of Max" with the screencaps and explanations is epic.

Good heavens, a 1/60 Yamato Legioss and Tread...I can only imagine how cool that would be...and inbit, since they wouldn't be huge like Zentradi mecha would be wrt the valks...would those be possible?

Huge huge huge +1 to this. I was noticing last night how much 'grayer' my Roy 1S is than the TV Valks I have...I'd like a bright white Roy with black head arrows and a TV Roy...

Beautiful custom. I'd love to see Yamato milk the mold with stuff like that...

Agreed. That looked incredible. Some of the 'HD' DYRL stuff looks pretty good too...

USPS tracking sucks. It's not really even any good most of the time. From my experience and that email I'd be surprised if it has shipped yet.

It varies, did they not give you a tracking number of some sort?

Perhaps this belongs more correctly in the 'noob' thread...but what is the origin of the Thunder Hammer armor?

I feel a LOT safer posing the 1/60 V2's than I ever did the 1/48's. I had my M&M 1J's in some crazy poses and always felt nervous about it. Given the weight and relative 'tightness' of the V2s I feel much better putting these guys in strange poses and not thinking a thing of it.

No doubt, that guy's stuff is crazy...

I got a Hikaru 1J about a week ago. Love it. Great toy. It is BRIGHT white though, as has been remarked on. All in all it's a typical 1/60 V2 Valk. Awesome.

Yep...hope a couple of my items go on ebay in the next couple of days so I can get Over-drive on the hook for these... They look great together...

That thing is gorgeous. Tempts me to violate my own rules and step outside the TV Valks...but I must resist and save money for the VE...

Vi, Maiden and Roy: Thanks for the info regarding the CF's... The CF's are now firmly slotted on my list, somewhere before or after the M&M 1J's depending on their release date. I'm going to need to pick up a set of TV Super Armor for them too after seeing some of pics in this thread. The armor looks really good with the color scheme of the CF's. Can I also say that I really am enjoying the new 1/60 mold. All the tampo markings and whatnot are dynamite.

I don't mind the look of this so much, it would make a nice display piece, imo. I'd probably get one if it didn't cost a mint. I can understand why some would want some more 'texture' to it though... I'm willing to bet we eventually see a standalone GBP eventually. Too much money to be made for just stamping out more of an established mold.
