  1. Now, this is a fan made custom Gundam!
  2. Yes, both 12" versions of Isamu & Guld are my original customs. I scuplted both heads, as well as created the custom costumes. Isamu won its category at MW Con 2 & Guld won its category at MW Con 3. I'm glad you like them.

Here is a shot of the rear. & what a cute rear it has!

    VF plush dolls?

Not only is it my avatar, it is also a prized piece in my collection. Very difficult to obtain indeed... although there are a few members of us here on MW that are lucky enough to own one. I was wondering if that pic was of one you managed to score. Good find. I can't say that exact one in the pic above is an image of "my" plush VF. Here are some shots of the one I own.

  6. Yes it is. I was just playing around of the idea. That's all I have of it. I hope you finish soon! Both of these guys are looking for a new girlfriend!!!
  7. Ryan Church & I were classmates back at Art Center, & now we're both faculty at Art Center. Funny how things turn out...
  8. "Macross Plus" Myung??? What are you using as a base head? So, is this Myung or not?

  10. Go Danny, you're almost finished! Finish this one so you can at least claim you actually did follow through at least on one of your projects. Looks pretty good! I may even have to get a set of your sculpted hands!
  11. Big thanks to Melissa & Mr. "Anonymous!"
  12. Hi Melissa, Very generous of you volunteering to spear head this challenging project. Just FYI, the intitial cost when Seiichi was able to offer this Kit was @ $300+ USD. There was even a "built by Mr. Sakuragawa" version offerred for $800 USD. I would love to see this project take off. To the best of my knowledge, we have yet to see one of these kits show up in a MW member's hands. I wish you luck in tracking one down. Put me on the list should you be able to fulfill actual orders.
  13. Definitely the 2nd one! The first pic just looks painful!
  14. Kevin @ VE ships almost on a daily basis. He ships at lightening speed, unlike HLJ.
  15. I believe Mr. Sakuragawa is working on the new & improved YF-19 we will see in future release. And regarding the IHP Konig Monster ... I know several were made for Wonderfest some yeas ago, but I cannot confirm how many. Usually, WF licenses are extremely limited. Companies that produce kits for WF are limited to only making limited quantities averaging between 10-20 pcs. and can only sell them the day of the show. Sometimes you see the same kit sell the year after, but still only in limited qty. That's why these kit are so rare & expensive.
  16. I have to interject here on Seiichi's behalf. The reason these recasts were not completed is not Seiichi's fault. He did everything he could to help ease this project along & still to this day feels very badly about not getting this project completed. The real reason this batch of recast orders didn't get made is because Mr. Sakuragawa of IHP has been overloaded on other projects. Especaially now, since Yamato has hired him to do projects for them; so you are still seeing his work in sense. As far as the Konig Monster goes, we most likely will not see any new recasts for some time to come. Most unfortunate for us here that did order, but think of all the new Yamato stuff still coming out that Mr. Sakuragawa is involved in. "The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few."
  17. A friend sent me link to this site: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/5262850/ I believe the artist is a Kawamori fan too!
  18. You have to check out this incredible fan rendering!!! Simply awesome!
  19. If you're good, you can make a beautifully made model as tough and fun as a toy. But not all, & I stress "ALL" models are able to transform & be posable; like the valkyries we all love so much. Don't get me wrong, I like models too, & I do acknowledge that some models do have much more detail than most toys, but the fun of having a toy is to play with it; & if it happens to look good while you're playing with it, then even better. Models look great, but are fragile & don't hold up too well after a few transformations. My 2 bits...
  20. ditto I appreciate the vote of confidence, but I have to stay true to my namesake... "xstoys". For me, it's more of a challenge to build something beautiful that can really transform & be played with, as opposed to just staring at a beautifully built static model. "XSModels" just doesn't sound right ... does it???
  21. I thought it was time just to "wet everyone's whistle." Sorry for the glare...
  22. Ever seen one of these?
  23. The only way to get the decals to the Strike Minmay Guard Moon act is to buy the whole Minmay Guard kit. The seperate decal set was only available as an exclusive during one of those Japan only conventions, C3 I believe. The individual sets are very difficult to come by unless you went to the show.
  24. Danny, Yup. I'll be in LA during Feb. PM me. T.
