  1. Because the Vajra are a majestic and powerful space-fairing species that have existed long before the birth of humanity and will still be out their long after the last hint of human life have disappeared form the universe. It would be a pretty dick move to just declare them evil and hunt them to extinction simply because they're perceived as a hindrance to humanities unchecked expansion throughout the galaxy. It would sort of be like going out in boats and killing all the sharks in the sea because a couple people got eaten while swimming in the sharks ocean.
  2. It's amazing how one can go for considerable length of time without having any real compulsion to spend any particularly notable sums on frivolous items, Only to suddenly find one's self longing to purchase everything and the kitchen sink once they've finally decided to drop a significant amount on one item. It's been months since I've bought anything particularly expensive; but within a week of preordaining a $300 VF-19 I'm suddenly trying to figure out how to swing that plus a VF-22 and/or a VF-1A while still contemplating picking up a couple VERY overpriced figures, eagerly awaiting a pair of $70 3A toys, giving serious thought to upgrading to adobe CS 5.5 and an intuos 4 tablet, and to top it all off I've been trying to find a good deal on a $600 camera lens... WTF?!?
  3. I kind of prefer the shield to be part of the gun, since that how it was in the show design. I would however have liked it if the gun and shield together wrapped around the arm more. I'm happy with how it looks though. The original Heavyarms is my all time favorite Gundam design, and this hits all the cues of the original to a crazy degree. I will have to get this at some point. :edit: BTW, I love that they went to the trouble of including the beam saber cradle-arm that was only used 1 time in the whole series.
  4. Where the hell are you getting it for 275 shipped? I've got mine ordered from HLJ and I'm expecting about $295. And just look at it, It's so sexy, you know you can't wait for one, you need it now... NOW.... NOW!!!!!! oh god I wan't mine... I can't take it any more please.... ughamafduiaddadafdafafnfiaofpjafan;fioadhfa'fafa Have I mentioned that I'm really looking forward to the release of this particular toy?
  5. Ok, this is a really tiny thing to get excited about but I just noticed that the VF-17 is using the same hand design as the YF-21/VF-22. The back plate of the hand looks remolded for correct sculpted detail but the fingers are definitely the same (wrist looks the same too but I can't be sure form the pictures). I find it kind of interesting because the VF-11 and VF-19 molds use identical hands which themselves use the same fingers and basic design as the v.2 VF-1's with different molded detail for the back plate, palm and wrist. Personally I like the YF-21 hand better, They're a little larger and rounder which suits the design of the larger Mac7 valks better than the smaller VF-1 hands (along with being better proportioned overall); though I can see why they went with the smaller hands on the VF-11/19's. The there isn't much room to store hands in either of those arms, I guess they had more room to work with on the VF-17.
  6. I think it would be pretty awesome and hilarious if Yamato waited to start working on designing a v.3 YF-19 until after Bandai releases the super parts for the renewal version VF-25's so that they could engineer the YF-19 to be compatible with the Bandai set as a secret unspoken feature.
  7. This is not meant as an offense to you specifically, but this is my general reaction to any time someone uses the word term 'cuz' on the internet:
  8. I leaning more towards a spam bot that's developed some crude form of sentience.
  9. My face right now... WHY CAN'T THIS BE OUT YET?!?!?
  10. We have a thread specifically for short questions like this: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=33093
  11. but LED's are insanely expensive. I just checked and it would cost between $120 and $140 to replace the Four CFL's in this room that I bought in a box for 2 dollars. $120...
  12. Is flight stick support that big a deal? I've always played ace combat games with a controller and I've never once had even a twinge of desire to try it with a flight stick.
  13. applying the word crap to just about anything related to gundam seed is fairly appropriate
  14. Commence the raucous gallivanting in a manner akin to recently decapitated poultry
  15. it's Gundam Seed, it might not be a typo.
  16. OH GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE?!?! Blame David, he put the seed of this idea in my head. Even if it was totally unintentional. My Little Evil Cyborg Pony by Mike Ringot, on Flickr
  17. That's because traditional print media is dead, rock bottom prices are the only way to get people to actually buy books.
  18. oh man, You've just given me the greatest horrible idea ever. Keep your eyes peeled for the character art thread to get bumped...
  19. It's a Cannon fodder VF-25 with Mirage Knights markings from Five star stories (right middle valk): (also thanks to VF5SS for the screenshot)
  20. I play with all of my Yamato Valk's and have fun doing it. some of them can be tricky to transform but the rest of them are solid enough in each of their modes to be fun to mess around with. even my VF-27 get's played with from time to time.
  21. I'm fairly certain they're going to release the Renewal versions in the same way that they released the original DX-25's. Naked alto and Ozma versions first, then Luca and Michael's bundled with fast packs 3~6 months from now, then Reissue Alto and Ozma with their respective packs 3~6 months after that. then Tornado bundles further down the line. Ghosts may end up web shop items again this time. anyways, At this point I'm waiting for the Michael Super VF-25G bundle to get in on these. Alternatively I'd like a VF-25A Mirage Knight
  22. VMFA-232 skin for the F/A-18F, DLC 320 Microsoft points
