Bottom line. I think the real issue for the old school macross fans (like me) is that they tried too hard to impress us all with these movies. And It feels like the main story is just an excuse to show us all the cool stuff, you know like with transformers movies. But in the series is the other way aroud. It was the story that got me interested From episode 1 to 25. Don't get me wrong I am a mechaporn sucker, but for me that's just the icing on the cake when you already have a great story with great characters.

Just watched the movie and well, I guess I'll stick to the series and pretend these movies never existed. They feel like those bad movies that are based on great books. Seriously macross is now officially a show for little girls (or a 2 hour comercial for bandai's merchandising) in my opinion. Not even the YF-19 and his memorable pilot saved it for me. Who's with me!!! C'mon someone's got to be with me on this.

The worst part is when they say "the vajra have feelings too" an that aimo is a vajra lovesong. They could have explained the whole thing in a thousand different ways, but they went with the lamest one of all. And don't get me started with the movies!

Seriously? You're nitpicking on Macross Plus man? I'm guessing you have never watched M7 and M0. I think Macross Plus is a lot better just because it doesn't have any of the common anime cliches almost all the other macross shows suffer from. Even the ones I like the most.

when I saw the first CG pics of this valk I said: Meh! Cheap recycled crap (those were my exact words), but now the vf-25 is becoming one of my favorite valks. It's got the best of all the previous valks and I want one of these toys baaaaaaaaaaad.
