  1. Had my friend that lives in Japan order the super parts for me. I hate to ask him for the favor, but I do try to return the favor with US collectible items in return.
  2. Am I correct in seeing that only the Bandai DX Chogokin first editions of the Hikaru VF-1J and the Roy VF-1S include the extra stands? Did they make stands for the Hikaru VF-1S, Max VF-1A, Hayao VF-1A?
  3. You are awesome! I was able to get one, thank you!
  4. no luck yet, was very close on Nin-Nin
  5. Ready for the F5 battle. Good hunting, brothers!
  6. Got my Bandai DX YF-19 a few days ago, but haven’t transformed it until today. I have not encountered any complainable QC issues, although I did need to loosen the screws on the hip joints as they were too tight. Mine shipped from HLJ and it arrived quickly and unbroken. It is very sturdy and looks fantastic in battroid mode, especially with all the extra hands. I still prefer my Arcadia YF-19 in fighter mode, though.
  7. I got cart jacked by HLJ after I confirmed my shipping method
  8. Thank you in advance to all those who provide links when they go active. I’m waiting for HLJ, but they usually update a little after the other sites
  9. I got my HLJ confirmation and it shows on on my open orders now; I shall celebrate with peaceful rest. These pre-orders are stressful, but they are necessary to get what you want at or below retail price. Now I can save up funds to pay for it in September. Thanks for all the heads up, order status and links; you are good people.
  10. Oh wow; great list list MW history. While I don't post much, I've been a member since the old days before Yamato released their v1 YF-19 and a collector since my dad brought me home a Takatoku VF-1J from a TDY trip to Japan back in 1985. I remember staring hours at a time at the beautiful chunky-monkey collection featured on Valkyrie Factory, making and keeping a promise to myself search out and obtain every Takatoku/Bandai 1/55 vintage release. I remember corresponding with Rosario Love and others here when customizing was king. I'm happy to have seen how much the fandom has grown and what different companies have offered us over the years, looking forward to what the future has in store.
  11. Got my shipping notice from HLJ as well. I really did prefer the blue-ish color of the dark-colored parts and the green/tan gunpod on the proto-type; I was also hoping for a little more tampo-printing of the markings near the cockpit. I'm not complaining though, the production release still looks beautiful. I'll be sure to post some comparison pics of the Arcadia 1/60 YF-19 with my Yamato 1/60 YF-19 Weathering Limited version.
  12. HLJ order has been paid and awaiting shipment; been waiting on this pretty bird for a very long time. This is the YF-19 toy I had always hoped to be produced one day. I wonder how hard/expensive it will be to get a Yamato Fold Booster now...
  13. Here's some pics of my v.2 VF-1D I took a while back...
  14. Objective: VF-27 with Super Parts Financials: 19,000 Yen + 2,600 Yen (EMS) = 21,000 Yen Logistics: Waiting for hours in the early morning to pick up the pre-sale and months for the release and then typical HLJ shipping delay Mission Status: HLJ adv VF-27 has been launched and enroute to target.
  15. If you've never owned a 1/55, that would make sense that you would feel that way, nostalgia or not. The ease of transformation, ratchet joints, decent articulation for its time, solid/durable feeling of parts/materials, heft of die-cast parts, spring-loaded gunpod and removable accessory parts, beautiful box-art/packaging and loads of extra stickers....and keeping in mind they were the first fully-variable Macross toys produced 30 years ago and designed without the aide of auto-cad, I strongly believe they still have a lot to offer compared to newer versions. While not as accurate to the line-art and lacking some other neat features, the "chunky-monkey" is much more fun to handle in my opinion than the delicate Yamato's. Don't get me wrong, I love the 1/60 ver 2 and consider it the best representation of a fully-variable VF-1 available, but I think each scale has it's own special appeal along with their inherent pros and cons.
  16. Nice comparison pics of the VF-1S Strike Valkyrie in different scales, 505thAirborne. I love how the 1/55 can still hold its own against other offerings; it just has its own special charm. I finally got a set of 1/60 Super Armor and will be taking some similar comparison pics of a 1/60, 1/55, 1/48 VF-1A Super Valkyrie (cannon fodder/mass-production version) because that's always been my fave VF-1 for some reason. I'll try to post them soon.
  17. I really like the amber-colored canopy, it's a nod to the old Takatoku 1/55's. The scheme is a little too busy, but it kinda grew on me. Just pre-ordered mine from NY.
  18. Thanks for the compliments! I enjoy everyone else's pics, too! I'm hoping to get a set of 1/60 ground crew to paint and do some more dio pics.
  19. Just finished painting some 1/48 ground crew to go with my 1/48 VF-1A equipped with Super Armor
  20. Finally got a VF-1D, this is by far my favorite Macross toy. Thank you raptormesh for the hookup!
  21. My opinion is that you should sell me that extra set as my I am super/strike pack-less.
  22. Can't wait for what WF might have in store for us. I'm hoping that they start including 1/60 ground crew and standing pilot figures.
  23. Forgot I had an old GI Joe Defiant that was scrapped for parts; makes for a wonderful hangar backdrop along with a spare elevator deck from a USS Flag. Took some quick pics...
  24. Just got an e-mail back from HKC, they found my VF-1A Mass Production (TV version) and they are sending it to me now. HKC is also paying for my shipping cost to send them back the Kakizaki version. I'm so glad they responded quickly and fixed the problem. I guess Kakizaki just wanted to fly half-way around the world and back for fun.
