  1. I got this off ebay for super cheap because it had been started (which actually made it more work!) and had no decals, I printed the decals myself from a scan off the net. I was burnt on macross the other day so spent a few hrs putting this together, it actually only took me part of 1 night and a bit of the next morning. I made the stripes a little more red to give it a bit more agressive of a look. mike
  2. i know this may be a day later and $ short but what I usually do is seal the tape with krylon crystal clear, just enough on the edge, then a mist coat of the matt finish. Just check paint compatability

    HLJ Crazy Sales

Did you check you status on their order status page? It may be in processing, check it out, that's what happened to me with the 1/55 1s
  4. Awesome, i always wanted to make myself a decepticon jetfire, but never thought of a 1d head, very cool.....
  5. Great work Jesse Looks awesome, applying all those decals, your more patient than me these days...
  6. I just ordered a Gundam kit that may have square finger hands that will fit the 1/48 well, if they do I will most likely customize them to have the signature rectangle on the back of the hands, have an easy attachment system to the 1/48, try and find a way to tint them so they match the 1/48, and recast them if people want

    Yamato 1/60 VT-1

My chestplate slider was so bent i needed to take the thing apart and fix it to get it into battroid mode.
  8. Yeah, I had to disassemble part of the nose to get that thing straight, nothing like buying an $80.00 toy and having to work on it.....
  9. I have recast the sazabi hands in a fixed position for the 1/55, the right with the trigger finger for the gun and the left in a position that would cradle the gun pod. If you are interested PM me. I am also working on a set for the 1/48, i just need to throw them in a mold. mike
  10. http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/salzo2200...903.jpg&.view=t Yamato's are a little bigger, especially the fast packs...see link
  11. Jetfire, although he stayed Jefire for only a couple of weeks, I painted the black and yellow chest stripe, the leg stripes, used UN spacy decals from 1/100 model kits, put un spacy kites on the wing and on the tail fins where the skulls should have been, painted the nose white, all with sloppy and goopy testors hand paints. And, I painted the armor black (must have been color blind). my very first custom, must have been 13 or so........
  12. Between $85.00-$100.00, I got mine for $110.00 brand new in the box, although I know the MSRP is higher.
  13. I did a few customs with the reissues and i needed to "guide" the nose by inserting an exacto knife where I could and kind of slowely opening the nose like a clam. I never broke anything but I will say do this with care, for the parts and your hands.....
  14. Huh? do you mean it would be cool, but a bear? Jesse you may need some coffee.
  15. I started one that I may finish in a million years or so.....the legs are the biggest mod IMO, they need to be thinned from both the front and the sides, the arms also need to be thinned and the shoulder launchers need to have material added to make them fit the hasegawa's thinner shoulders. the complexity of the chest depends on 2 things, 1 if you want the armor to be removable and 2, if you want the missle doors to open.
  16. Is that a jetfire or a reissue....there are some issues with the head fitting reissues.
  17. these side panels are nearly all scratch built, only way to get the height correct.....
  18. Some star wars stuff.....this falcon required a lot of mods, for anyone who does star wars modeling most of the old plastic kits are really a challenge to get accurate....

  21. Ok, since there were no real objections I am going to throw it in a mold....like i said, these wil be cheap, just enough to pay the materials/shipping.
  22. Hi the USV is the 1/48 scale Ulitmate strike Valkyrie by club m, I have an original that I recast some of the parts for, thanks for all the comments, I will check out the web hosting. mike
  23. They are the 1/55 scale, however they seem to fit the 1/48's with little modification. If there are no objections by tomarrow I will throw it in a mold. I could be casting them by the weekend.
