  1. The problem is the few companies that have attempted a Legioss are all copying the OG Gakken transformation mechanics. It would be like Arcadia, Yamato, Kitz Concept, and even Bandai all making VF-1 series toys today but copying the OG 1/55 Chunky Monkey transformation design and mechanics (yes I'm looking at YOU Toynami "Masterpieces"). A different company needs to come up with something NEW from the ground up.
  2. Be really cool if Sentinel took a stab at the Legioss after completing their Mospeadas.
  3. I hope they fixed the tabbing of front in armo fighter mode. If they did I'd buy this one. Crossing fingers
  4. We'll have to agree to disagree here. No toy at this scale with this many moving parts and mass shifting anime magic parts created in any decade I have ever handled has done so without issue. Part of the fiddly nature I am referring to is the fact that parts don't stay pegged in. There is just too much to move and that gets moved for everything to be secure. That said I guess that since I tempered my expectations with realism I was pleasantly surprised. I'm simply warning others expecting perfection at this scale to stay away. Just because it is expensive doesn't mean it was made to be able to physically mirror anime magic. I can tell you this and the internet will remember my statement. No company will ever release a perfect transformation toy (notice I said perfect transformation) of this mech at any scale under 1/6 and at any price that won't suffer from *most* of these issues. As I said a few issues like permanently attaching foot armor they could have fixed but fiddly pegs not staying in due to three or four different pegs in different areas having pressure put on them just to lift an arm and keep the arm armor attached at same time is just what it is. A person might feel like at this price it might not be unrealistic to expect to not encounter these things. But they would simply be disappointed then. If you really want to be disappointed grab Evoltion Toys Legioss. Now that is inexcusably bad. Yes I feel like this should have cost $125 no more. But I paid more and frankly don't regret it. It's not like there a ton of Mospeada game in town. You wanna play you gotta pay. This Hobby ain't cheap. Especially when it comes to toys created specifically FOR collectors like this.
  5. I just got mine from Amiami. I am quite pleased with it. I own the Megahouse's, Beagle and CMSs Mospeadas and I think I might like this one the best. Just edges out the Beagle IMHO. But then I prefer this scale. I have to say that anyone disappointed is feeling so due to their own unrealistic expectations. Anyone that is expecting a perfect transformation of a design like this that relies so heavily on anime magic to begin with at a scale under 1/6 heck maybe even 1/5 that wouldn't be ball jointy and fiddly as all heck is just delusional. Not to offend anyone but it wouldn't be possible. Now granted I see some design choices that could have improved the overall experience with this toy such as the armor over feet that keeps popping off (these need to be glued on period!). But overall I think they did a bang up job. The visor isn't as offensive in hand but definitely needed to be a clear smoke blue like the ones on 4chan that were modded. But I'll just leave as is. It stands out next to my other MospeadaS with it and I don't HATE it.
  6. I'm really kinda hoping Sentinel takes a nod from CMS and releases just the 1/12 Rider figures individually as troop builders (i.e. red shirts). I'd buy the crap outta those.
  7. "I'd buy that for (more than) a dollar!!"
  8. Those are great prices. Yeah Max got released about 6ish months after first Hikaru and before Hikaru in pilot outfit. He was a limited release. I think to like 500 iirc. Popbox sold them on Ebay for a while but that was it. They never made it to the Robotech site. Popbox also had inside the Max box a mail away slip for a 1/6 mailaway premium of the campfire scene with the mutated fish on the stick Hikaru tries to Feed Misa after they crash on Earth and the tiny bonfire in DYRL. It was Japan only so I never bothered. Yeah I REALLY wanted the Roy. They showed prototypes but oh well...
  9. Yeah in my case it seemed the paint or stain or whatever they coated furniture with was reacting with the rubber. Man that sucks. Sorry to hear. Maybe hit them with something like Gumi Fledge or some other rubber treatment. Just make sure it's silicone free. Aka not Armorall
  10. Oh man!! Hard Gay. Hahahahaha. Man that takes me back. I forgot all about herm. Lol
  11. Thanks. Yeah those are the old Popbox Hikaru and Max figures. Worth having if you can find them under $80. They're not stellar and bodies underneath are VERY basic. To top it off the outfits restrict the heck out of the possibility. But they're better than nothing and display well enough. They came with great Skull Squadron patches too that I slapped on my range bag.
  12. Im also interested in that. Just not enough to buy a ticket lol. Say I see the Megahouse Olson is your avatar. I just got one but haven't opened it yet. How is it? There's like 0 reviews online. PM me your thoughts if you get a chance. Thanks
  13. The rubber can interact with the surface you have them displayed on. For example I had my Aoshima Gokin Aliens APC which has rubber tires displayed on an IKEA Billy shelf. It is painted particle board. Over the course of maybe 6 months I went to roll the APC and noticed the tires were beginning to melt onto shelf. They had a visible flat spot on tires where they were coming into contact with shelf. Also the shelf was tacky where the tires were touching. I cleaned tires off and put in my glass shelves Detolf and it's been there for years. No more issue. When it comes to rubber treads or tires or boots for figures always display on glass.
  14. Anime Export $405USD. http://www.anime-export.com/product/39812 Man these online retailers have no shame with this one. I thought the HMR Missile Regult TWE prices got outta control fast. This takes the cake.
  15. Tom Hardy is a FANTASTIC actor. If you haven't watched Bronson do yourself a favor and spool it up now. That said I have ZERO interest in this movie. Great actors star in crap movies all the time unfortunately. This one is going to be a mess.
  16. finally got around to slapping on all the screw covers and extra bits for the 1/3000 Macross. Been dying to pose in behind the SD Makuros.
  17. Me too. Absolutely. The stand included is tantamount to something that would be included with a Playskool product.
  18. That box art is fabulous as usual. Love the blue of the FP's too.
  19. So I'm hoping someone who bought the Tamashi HMR Regult Missile set can help a brotha out. I have a standard issue HMR Regult I purchased recently and it arrived new in box but the shipping and Regult box got dented and of course whatever beared down into box pressed right on top of Regult box where the head lasers are and one is bent down about 40 degrees. And it's so white and stressed I know if I try to heat and bend back it'll break. Plastic used is too brittle to try. I know the Missile set comes with the missiles that mount where the standard rotating lasers (aka weaponized Yamaka) go and was hoping someone that has no interest in displaying as "base Regults" might be willing to spare a set. I'm not looking for any hand outs. I'm willing to pay for them whatever you think is fair. I appreciate the help.
  20. Image has been around for yeeeeeeaaaars. Like almost 20 or so. There was a time before HLJ, Amiami, Jungle, Yahoo proxy services etc when there were really no options in Japan to buy import toys shipped to USA in a retail capacity. Your only retail options were stores inside USA, and this was one of my go to's. Nowadays I'd only rely on them as an absolute last resort for something like this that's already sold out in Japan everywhere. They're prices tend to be ludicrous speed. But secondary market may be worse so there's the gamble.
  21. The regular release Arcadia reissue also has the runner parts. And lots of em'. I finally got my extra to open last week and it took me damn near an hour and a half to get them all trimmed and into place. That said it was a labor or love. I enjoy that stuff. For the price on premium release I should hope they apply all those parts. I could see that alone making it worth price to those who do not enjoy doing such things. Next thing I'm gonna do is find a sheet of glow in the dark adhesive stickers and make my own glowing details. I'll start working on that soon. I don't want too many. Just a few accents.
  22. Yeah from what I've seen def not worth the price of entry (to me) but I will admit a lot of great details. Looks really sharp. Especially the ARMD carriers. I like the subtle black outlines around the fluorescent areas.
