  1. Well someone mentioned the "Golden Age" which to me was when I first started visiting the old forums 7 or so years back and people were clamoring for the 1990 VF-1S Bandai reissue and Joons Valkyries That's right Joons. Because those were all that you could find. Unless you wanted to hit EBay or search the web intensely and pay $600- $1,200 for an original Takatoku or DYRL Bandai. There was no going online to your favorite e-tailer or popping into your local comic shop and picking up a brand new minty fresh NRFB Valkyrie for under $50.00. That was a fantasy. Now it's reality. I'm happy that we have a constant flow of new Macross products to be able to speculate about. I hope it never changes. Here's to the new Golden Age!
  2. Hello, I tried the search function and came up with nothing. With the help of two listers I seem to have found some repro Alpha/Legioss stickers from a previous run but was wondering if anyone ever made or has the intention of making repro SDF-1/ Macross decals for the 1/3000 scale toy?
  3. This page has some badass customized kits. I love the diorama. Check it! http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~ij8t-kbym/macross/index_m2.html
  4. Wow thanks for the responses. Guess that is why garage kits are very common but garage toys are not quite so..
  5. I don't mean entire toys, anything. Parts that are already being recast such as 1/55 heads, fast packs or the item that really got me thinking about it, the BP8 backpack hinge for the 1/48 Yamato bird. A plastic recast would have to be stronger than a resin one.
  6. I am completely ignorant about and devoid of any ability to make recast parts. I am however the proud owner of a few custom resin recast pieces (and soon a JM from Rohby) from members of this community and am happy with them. I do however see the flaws in them when compared to the original toys they are installed on or next to. Such as more fragility and being more brittle compared to the original plastic. Well my wheels were turning here this evening and I was wondering why nobody makes recast parts in plastic like the original toys? I'm sure there is a reason but I was wondering why? Is it just not economically feasible or just too difficult to do out of one's garage? I'd love to make custom toys so I wanna know more! Can any of you expert recasters enlighten me?
  7. Tried to order a few but looks as though the only way to order is via credit card and their unsecure server (authorize.net?). At that point I aborted. Caveat Emptor....
  8. Not sure, here's the translation: Super spatial-temporal fortress マクロス/ミリア 639 PVC figure With new modelling limitation 3 body set ミリア 639 appearance! With the same scale as 1/60 クァドラン low/row embarkation possibility. Pilot standing version and ウエディングバージョン belong other than クァドラン low embarkation style. The pilot at the time of helmet installing and reproducing the state of the bare face with head replacement. Long hair of green - as for び く form gorgeousness itself! * Manufacturer: And mark That helps... Right?
  9. Looks like Yamato is making good... Now that is Niiiiice.. Looks like she can even be inserted into the Q-Rau. Link here: http://www.mamegyorai.co.jp/series_item_de....asp?item=22705
  10. Then again I remember that when Yamato released the YF-22 FP the sample sent to Graham had the VF-22 face plate swap option which did not make it to the final production (but you can see where the face plate would have been in the plastic tray). Graham pointed out the possibility of licensing probs with Mac 7 mechs as the reason for it's exclusion if I remember correctly. So was the VF-X2 license a new acquirement for Yamato or maybe they are afriad to cross that bridge? Hmmm... If so then too bad because that would pretty much be Carte-Blanche to make any mech they want.
  11. Pardon my possible ignorance but if the Koenig appearred in VF-X2 and hence Yamato can produce it. Can Yamato then produce any mech appearring in that game. I read long ago that the Macross 7 license was still being held by Bandai but we've already seen a game color VF-19 and now the Koenig Monster. Could this be a loop hole to produce others like the Nightmare or VF-22?
  12. Better pic. I think that this is going to be too expensive! I refuse to buy it! Should have been cheaper for what you get. Not poseable enough and while I'm at it, where is the posable pilot figure with a nice round butt?
  13. Customs? I wouldn't even wish those paint schemes on a Joons or Space Gandam. Ugh... Those look like variable transvestites.
  14. Whether the Koenig Monster rumor is true or not I'd just like to say that I hope Yamato continues on with the trend started with the Queadluun. I LOVE my Valkyries and all but MAN does the Q-Rau spice up the shelf. We NEED more non-Valk Macross! I'm perfectly willing to "pay too much" for it too! I'm the proud owner of 3 Q-Raus and I paid full price from HLJ (oh and one from TMPanime) baby! YEEEAH!
  15. I think I'll save my opinions for after she's in my hands... I never thought a 1/48 was worth over $100, until I owned one...

Here's a new pic. Now make with the review! ........ Please http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=16467
  18. Hey Graham if you're allowed to disclose, is the Millia pilot just a static plug in figure (and if so is she a full figure or just a bust like the Bandai kit) or poseable? I'm dreaming of posing this piece with Millia sitting atop the Q-Rau's shoulder... Aaah the anticipation... I'm not worried at all about the price, I've got 3 on preorder. I will whine about the release date however.. I want her NOW, NOW.!!! WAAAHH..
  19. Payment sent!! Thanks again, ALOT!!!!!!! You're a good space monkey...
  20. How do you unlock Hikaru's VF-1S and Max's VF-1S?
  21. Wow.... I have not bought anything from the 1/60 line since the release of the 1/48 VF-1A (and then of course all subsequent 1/48 releases). This will be a must buy for me though. I'd hope that if they sell enough (how could they not?) that it would mandate a 1/48 release!?
