  1. Ice Cube, Jr. is part of the cast?! I’m really hoping we see some flashbacks or part of the story takes place during the Clone Wars proper. https://www.starwars.com/news/obi-wan-kenobi-series-cast
  2. So, I got a some extra acrylic display stands, decided to split up Vehicle Voltie, and redo the display:
  3. I took the plunge. Figured as a guy of Southeast Asian or a Pacific Islander descent (depending on how you classify Filipinos), I should support a film about the region and its cultures. Plus (heh!) when you factor how much the movie tickets would’ve cost for me, the wifey, and our brood of munchkins, we come out slightly ahead. In any case, the film’s alright. I agree with a reviewer that said the main theme is kinda rammed at the viewer repeatedly. But nothing in the film felt overly dumb. And there’s definitely good things to like about the film. As a music guy, I kinda like Soul more. But Raya’s got its merits too.
  4. They’re already bringing in the racial issues. And much like Wanda, the two mains are now having to deal with their pasts and issues. Probably will be more “standard” MCU fare, but I like the characters and curious to see where they go from here. I’m also a big fan of this version of Zemo: he doesn’t have any special powers or financial backing. He’s just a special forces soldier. BUT he was successful in fracturing the Avengers. Hope they keep that aspect going for him here. Plus, Daniel Bruhl is a sneaky good actor. Didn’t realize that the guy who played Nikki Lauda in Rush was the same guy who played the Nazi sniper in Inglorious Basterds.
  5. First impressions of Falcon & Winter Soldier? Alright, with some first episode jitters. Action scenes were solid but kinda forgettable. But I enjoyed all the character bits much more. I feel like an extended cut or a few extra lines would have helped to flesh out some minor parts a little better like: But overall, I like where they put the characters post-Stark snap and am curious to see where they take this story.
  6. The Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars is coming to the + on April 2nd, along with some other old Star Wars stuff: https://www.polygon.com/platform/amp/star-wars/2021/3/16/22334599/star-wars-clone-wars-genndy-tartakovsky-streaming-disney-plus-ewoks
  7. Well, it’s a good thing that Sentinel has a couple other toy lines they’re producing. Makes me hopeful that they’ll remain viable. <Knocks on wood> Just make sure our girl is rocking RED!
  8. Kind of a bummer. But understandable. Pretty much just a head swap, and tweak the bike mold (depending if they go with Rey or Yellow as the pilot), right? Wonder what additional goodies they’ll put in to differentiate this from their other Legioss releases? BTW, any indication of when we can expect to see a colored prototype of Houquet and the Ride Armor?
  9. * They apparently have Pokémon Go in a galaxy far, far away. * What game doesn’t have any side quests? * Eevee gives a +3 boost to Cal’s Force powers.
  10. RIP, Detective Gee.
  11. Congrats and an advanced welcome to the Macross parentals club! Someone once told me the days are looooong, but the years go by fast. It’s a pretty accurate statement. Enjoy all the upcoming moments, and try to get some extra sleep now.
  12. ^^Reminds me of the steampunk Star Wars figures a customizer did many years ago.
  13. Sadly, I don’t think I’ve ever heard any of their songs over the radio out here. But I do enjoy the attitude of both their lead singer and their instrumentals.
  14. The official video’s a “tad” risqué, but the song itself is a swanky little rocker.
  15. Welp, that was a middling ending. Just set-up for future stories, but didn’t really resolve this actual story soundly. Feels kinda like Age of Ultron where the movie itself was weak, because it has to serve all sorts of different masters to get characters to where they need to be for their own individual movies.
  16. But your original response with the Schrodinger's Cat analogy is crap, because it's not two mutually exclusive events: you get BOTH nameplates. You can observe BOTH of them in the box at the SAME time. It's not an dead Golion OR an alive Golion. Or a proverbial Golion OR Stoplion. It's a Golion nameplate AND a Voltron nameplate, regardless of whether you purchase the Japanese or American release.
  17. Then why buy it at all, if it’s just sitting in a box? Bottom line: if you’re worried about there being any differences between the Japanese and American releases (with the actual toy inside, NOT the box itself), there ain’t any differences.
  18. It may not have the extra slip-cover, but the Japanese releases had both the “Golion” and the “Voltron” nameplates for the weapons display stand.
  19. They tried to send the game’s code to Nintendo using a Cat’s Eye transport. But the Zent’s kept blowing the plane up.
  20. I wouldn’t go so far as to call Battlecry a dumpster fire. A middling game with some annoyingly crap levels? Yes. But nowhere near dumpster fire levels. Now, Robotech: Invasion? Yeah, that’s definitely a smoking, steaming poop, 5 alarm, Grade A dumpster fire.
  21. Bandai’s preorder process is utter garbage at this point.
