  1. Same. And I'll let that damn thing spin for a week out of pure spite for HLJ's new sh!tty checkout process. -b.
  2. Well I'm a dirty SOB and paid for the jacked up N-Y price since it didn't seem to be that much higher than the guy that got one thru proxy at Amazon. For those still in queue I just checked and it's still available, no pay-later option, for the low, low cost of $260.58 or 25,800. Yes, N-Y are absolutely scalpers. -b
  3. Was literally at the payment section of N-Y, then BAM, product no longer in stock. Now I've got a ticket at 462. Just happened. What. The. Actual. F#ck *exactly the screen shots posted above 2nd edit, HLJ is STILL spinning for me at the Proceed to Checkout page -b.
  4. Failed everywhere And N-Y queue just keeps randomly jumping up. I was at 100 something, now 500 -b.
  5. ...way more interested in the Star Wars SH Figuarts that Bandai teased back in December. Like Bespin Luke, updated Clone Troopers, Han Solo in Storm Trooper disguise, etc. -b.
  6. Read the spoilers, IMHO the way things played out was very satisfying and much better on screen vs. what I read. That said, it could be that I convinced myself that Episode 6 would be a continuation of how sh!tty Episodes 4 and 5 were. It was not. -b.
  7. That's very well thought out and articulated, and gives me some peace re: the events of episode 5. That said it goes back to my point that the abbreviated seasons 7 & 8 and how that was such a huge hindrance from a storytelling perspective. Such a huge part of what made GoT great was the long plot points and character arcs *cough*Jaime*cough*. It was the suddenness of it all, 4 episodes of drama can in no way beat the 7.2 seasons of character development that pained Danny as either hero 1A or 1B. And *IF* this were not the series finale this would be no more shocking than the Red Wedding, Ned's beheading or other big time WTF moments Game of Thrones has done so well over the years. Just sucks that the execution of Season 7 and 8 (bright spots in each notwithstanding) have been so bungled. -b.
  8. Not sure why, but reading "flap off back to Meereen" made me laugh out loud. Sure, there have been enough little moments sprinkled in here and there that the whole "we foreshadowed" this rationale put forth by the show runners can hold water, but the last two seasons have been so abbreviated that Dany's descent feels rushed and hamfisted. And as such those those little bits of foreshadowing here and there lose their meaning and subtlety. Even with my new, insanely low expectations for series finale I still think D&D will do something(s) to piss me off. First half of season 8 was good (IMO), but the last two episodes (minus a few REALLY good moments in Episode 5) have sucked big ole dragon eggs. I also think if this was just a random season that was such a mixed bag the fan reaction would not be so bad, but it's the series finale and how a story ends matters much more than the progression. -b.
  9. Pretty conflicted over Season 8, it's had some really great moments, but... Depending on how this all shakes out I may just use head-cannon and say the show ended with S7. Or Jon and Ygritte never left the cave and everything since has been a bad dream ala Dallas - the old farts here will know what I'm talking about. -b. Edit to add, it's not...
  10. Endgame was fantastic, between this, the Winter Soldier and Infinity War the Russo Brothers have directed the best of all of the MCU movies. -b.
  11. Really hope so. Like really, really, really hope so. The vibe I came away with from that scene in Ep. 1 was that of a pet about to watch their owner get it on. And I hated that and all of the other forced humor (or what felt like forced humor) in that episode. -b.
  12. gone now but it's a good sign that the orders opened back up, hopefully that precludes and supply shortage headaches -b.
  13. Whoops, just now saw this - thanks @rdrunner I'm fine either way - wallet dead now, or wallet dead later. So many upcoming preorders to pay for. -b.
  14. You could be correct, mine is only 1 of 18 gazillion opinions. IMHO Sith was the least horrible of the PT. For me the only redeeming parts were Order 66 and Obi Wan vs. Anakin. Otherwise Revenge of the Sith is about as throw away as the rest of the prequel trilogy. Short answer, no it does not make a good movie. But I'm cautiously optimistic for Episode VIII. Besides I just want to see Rey jump over the Tie Fighter - seriously that alone is worth the price of admission. One for the "kewl" factor and two for the amount of "true" Star Wars fan, fan-rage. -b.
  15. YES and also quoted because that's hilarious And agreed with @Sildani, Rouge One was damn good, and is one of those movies that I actually enjoy more with each subsequent viewing. -b.
  16. So...a date of release? -b.
