Just a quick question about Battlecry...
terry the lone wolf replied to Burn's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The best thing for you is to use the code to unlock all the levels. That way if one level is to rough for you can skip it and come back to it. You still have to earn all the veritechs but you can get any Veritech in any order. Also on the game's tutorial there is a code to make you invincable throughout the game. Roy teaches you the basics of the fighter mode. There'll be a part where you'll be fighting 6 robot fighters. Three'll be unarmed and three will be. Destroy all six and quickly exit to the menu and the zentradies can't harm you. You'll know when to exit when Roy congratulates you. -
I just saw G.I.Joe Spytroops....
terry the lone wolf replied to terry the lone wolf's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yes it was one big commercial but wasn't Transformers the Movie. Also all the G.I.Joe movie, mini series, and regular series. They always introduced the new toys in big events. Yes Hurricane 29, Cobra Commander was always a whiny bitch but that's his appeal. -
I really enjoyed the Joe CGI movie and most of the characters were identical to their 1980's counterparts. The Snake-Eyes/Stormshadow fights reminded me of those Joe silent stories from the comic books. The story was vintage Larry Hama. For those who weren't around in 1982, Larry Hama wrote the G.I.Joe comics and created most of the Joe Team mythology. He also helped create Joe characters for the toyline like the Dreadnocks. Eventhough, I could've done without the "punk" interpretation of Beach Head. In both the comics and cartoon, B.H. was a tough as nails drill sgt. that took no guff from anyone. Here they made him into a wise cracking jokester. Hopefully, CN will pick it up as a series.

Shin Fist of the North Star
terry the lone wolf replied to terry the lone wolf's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I can't wait for the next part. How many installments are in the series? -
I've just seen the new Fist of the North Star ova and it's great. It is new story about Kenshiro fighting a tyrant, Sanga, who wants to dominate the world's last unpolluted water supply. It has a mixture of 2D and CGI effects. The fight scenes are more detailed and fluent. The characters are less mechanacal. The OVA features new characters like Sarah; who can heal people with her fingers and maybe a member of the Hokuto Shiken clan. Also a boy named Doma who can create water from his fists. There's is a silver haired fighter who shows up at the end of the feature. He looks sort of like Rei from the first series. Does anybody know who he might be?

Yeah, the redhead hottie does look like Sammy/Shammy.

name this ninja...
terry the lone wolf replied to terry the lone wolf's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Its not Shinobi 4.... thats the main character of a spin off Shinobi game. Her name is Kunoichi... and thats also the name of the game. It will use an improved Shinobi engine.... but it won't have anything related to Shinobi in the game itself. Kunoichi, eh...The screen caps are tight. Any release dates for here in the states? -
I went to the Tokyo Game Show website and I found these pix. I don't know the name of the game but it looks sweet. Tokyo Game Watch Check this pic:

GI Joe live-action movie!

Larry Hama wrote the script for movie; I can't wait to see it. His comics had more depth than the cartoon did. B) -
Guess who might direct the new Superman Movie....
terry the lone wolf replied to Ladic's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I believe the movie will be made because they're already scouting locations for Smallville. Listen it takes time for movies to be made even longer for comic book inspired ones. It took maybe 10 years for X-Men to reach the silver screen. And don't get me started on the Spider-man movie rights debacle. Super-heroes aren't lame and there's been a resurgance maybe due to succeses in other media like tv and movies. Both Marvel and DC have reported sell-out books like JLA/Avengers, Batman, and Teen Titans. Super- Heroes are back. To quote the great Stan Lee, "Excelsior"!!! B) -

Wasn't that idea scrapped? I remember fans got really pissed when someone came up with that idea.... it was pretty messy. At this point nothing would surprise me. Not even a cameo from Streaky the Supercat. -

All I know is that the movie might be a retelling of his origin with a new spin. -

I'll repeat from before - 'that would be a big fat H#ll Naw.' But seriously, Stuperman sucks, he always has and more than likely always will. Overgrown Boy Scouts or Camp Fire Girls, (take you pick in this case) are boring and too one dimensional. If, and I say this with a huge grain of salt, they were to add some depth to the character, and kill the whole bubble gum good is good and bad is bad routine of his character then it could possibly be interesting. Otherwise - And I tend to agree with Abombz on the whole Superhero, from Comic Book to Movie a bit overblown these days (maybe they always were) but perception is king - and I percieve too many craptastic Comic Book adapted films. I tend to disagree with Abombz on the Green Lantern issue - Green Lantern should never be mentioned in the same sentence with the words lame, Spawn and queen. At any rate it will be rather interesting to see how Hollywood plays this one out. Probably more interesting than the movie itself. If you have the "misguided" notion that Superman sucks, may I suggest some required reading. Mark Waid and Alex Ross's Kingdom Come series, JLA, and Superman/Batman issues 1-2. Superman kicks boottay!!! I've read the entire (4) part Kingdom Come series, I never said Supes was a wuss, I stated that the character as typically written or portrayed - Sux, big time. Oh yeah and IIRC (and I can go brush up on my reading if need be) Shazam let his @$$ have it a couple times in book 3. But I digress about how the character was written in Kingdom Come, it was great. But will they make a movie about Supes with that much depth? Nope - and that's why the movie will more than likely be garbage and that is why I have a serious dislike for the character. And don't start on Grant Morrison's JLA, without Batman that book would be nothing. B) -b. From what I read the production team are using the old 40's Max Fliescher Superman cartoons as source material. The movie might include Superman battling other Kryptonians. That doesn't sound like garbage to me. -

I hope your joking. Superman IS the original. Geez... Really? What about Achilles for one....or Odysseus(or however you spell it) Geez Beowulf is the original. You can tell Max is a Hulk reader. B) I like Superman as a comic and Kristin Kreuk makes Smallville worth watching, but I don't like the idea of them making a new Superman. Especially if they try making it with Shamalayian and Brendan Frasier. Do we really need more Superman? that would be a big fat H#ll Naw. Yes, We need more Superman. We also need more Superboy, Supergirl, Krypto, Streaky, General Zod, etc., etc.,etc.,...... B) -

Live action Snake-Eyes/Storm-Shadow slugfest. Live action Zartan chameleon powers; I'm there! Nuff' said. By the way, when is the new G.I.Joe cartoon going to air on the Cartoon Network? -

Kung Fu Dandy is one of my favorite episodes too. I gotta rewatch so I can see those mistakes. I didn't notice the mistakes but the fight scene was tight though.

Just finished Flashback 2012
terry the lone wolf replied to Smiley424's topic in Movies and TV Series
I have the Flasback 2012 music video and the new animation that shows the lifting of the Megaroad on CD-Rom. Is it worth my buying it on DVD? Is it more animation in it I don't know about? -
Saint Seiya/Knights of the Zodiac

I kinda like it. The song seems to fit them running through the tv screen. The edits like blue or purple sweat instead of the blood kind of freaked me out. As the story goes through the Sancturary Saga and the battles with the Silver Saints and Golden Saints; it should get much better. B)
