  1. Oh SWEET. For a long time now, I've wanted to see the ORIGINAL Bubblegum Crisis all over again. I just can't seem to find it in my area, and I haven't even had any luck via eBay. So this is VERY good news to me! Thanks for the heads up! *singing to self* "Konya wa hurricane... moo ichido hurricane...*
  2. Are we talking about the original series here, or the one which came out a few years ago?
  3. Over at the 2005 boards, someone posted the info from a Wal-Mart computer entry about the Mustang Alternator. It didn't list the full name, but the first two letters were "Fr." I'm personally hoping for Freeway, as I just like the name. But my God do I ever want to see some pics...
  4. SUPER SPOILER WARNING! DON'T READ UNLESS YOU HAVE SEEN THE ENTIRE SERIES! Great series, but so many unanswered questions... For example: - What the heck IS Gentleman's true power? Can he just rewrite history? There are lines which would seem to imply that he has done this before. Remember in the OVA when he asks Joker if he needs help handling the Ijinn? - How do the things from War of the Worlds and The Lost World come to exist as "real?" Is this some kind of extension of Gentleman's power? And what are its limits? - Is Gentleman's consciousness now split into Joker, Anita, and Junior? Ugh. So enjoyable, but I wish I had a better explanation for some of these things. Anyone in the know, please enlighten me!
  5. PLACE BETS NOW!!!
  6. Got mine last night, even though I told myself I'd wait until after I finished Ninja Gaiden. In a nutshell, the game is simply awesome. It's sorta like they took the play control system and graphics from MGS2, but then took the superb story from MGS and fused them. This is a good thing because I despised the eccentric story in MGS2. Twin Snakes, though, is a surefire winner. Oh, and it's only $40! Go pick it up, you'll be very glad you did.
  7. Well, I know I'm very much in the minority here, but I absolutely would choose Xbox over PS2. I own PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox, and my number of Xbox titles (over 20 and counting) is almost double that of my PS2 games. I mainly got my PS2 for the Metal Gear series and the Final Fantasy series, but both of those have let me down tremendously up to this point. (MGS2 was so damn weird that I actually traded it back, and I NEVER trade games in.) That's not really the fault of the system, obviously, but I find that I enjoy more of the Xbox titles than I do PS2 titles - especially with Sony's stance on 2-D games (namely, fighters). The whole selling point for me with the Xbox was Xbox Live. I absolutely LOVE this service, and I don't mind one bit paying for it since my friends and I are all on together and play very often. Well, if you'd like some Xbox game recommendations, here are some of my favorites: Halo - obviously, the system-seller Ninja Gaiden - absolutely outstanding adventure game Ghost Recon series - I do love shooting people on Xbox Live Phantasy Star Online - it's old, I know, but it's still hella fun and new content is still being added Crimson Skies - tremendous multiplayer action, and a fun story Project Gotham Racing 2 - visually amazing, and races extremely well online
  8. I think the reason why they won't do "classic" cars is because it'd clash with the BinalTech/Alternators storyline. My understanding of it is that the Decepticons infect all of the Autobots with some kind of "cosmic rust" which they cannot repair. Therefore, they turn to human engineers to help them redesign entirely new (and more modern) vehicle bodies. This sorta also backhandedly explains why there aren't any Decepticons as of yet... I'm still holding out the hope that the Decepticons won't just be repainted Autobot cars. UGH. I may be in denial, but I just find it so hard to believe that for a line with this much work put into it, Takara/Hasbro would resort to doing repaints for an entirely seperate Decepticon faction. That SUCKS OUT LOUD.
  9. ^ Ugh, so pretty. I'd just love it if Tracks actually turned out that way. It'd turn a sortof "eh" Alternator into a "must buy as soon as released" Alternator. C'mon Takara, work your magic again. Please?
  10. ^ Totally agree. I just can't envision Tracks being yellow, or Sunstreaker being red. But... I'll still more than likely wind up buying them anyway. Maybe they'd grow on me, or I'd have them customized. Too early to tell yet.
  11. That backpack is just way too much kibble for my tastes... Why on earth couldn't they have made Sunstreaker that yellow Ford GT...? Ah well, I can still dream.
  12. No, that's the other omake concert they included later on, the one where they play Planet Dance. And even then, Humming Bird is still playing in the background. Oh, OK! I got my wires crossed. Thanks for clearing that up.
  13. Jeez, you and me both. I'd have to buy at least three so I could have my own Diamond Force. Hey, I wished for years and years, though, that I could have a really good VF-1S Max, and now that's happening. So maybe if I keep wishing for a VF-17... Gotta keep the faith, I suppose.
  14. Well, I've done my part to buy up the DYRL Max. I've even got Neova doing a custom 1/48 VF-1S for me as I type this. I am SO excited - I have wanted one for far too long. Basically, if it has anything to do with Max, I'm gonna buy it. (This means VF-22 someday, Yamato!)
  15. My God, I'm one of those longshot true-believers who hopes that Moscato's Legioss will "return from the dead" one day. I'd love desperately to see it happen.
  16. I was told years ago that that concert was NOT Hummingbird, but instead the singers were the voice actors for Basara and Mylene. (Voice actors, not song actors - which explains why they sound different.) Dunno what the manga is though...
  17. Since we're on the subject of extremely rare Macross 7 songs, can anyone tell me if the acoustic guitar versions of New Frontier and Wild Life from Dynamite 7 were ever released in any format (whether they be CD's or fan rips)...?
  18. If memory serves, that Spidey has something like 67 points of articulation. It's simply AMAZING. There's a chart on the back of the box which lists every single joint. This is truly the king of articulation.
  19. Yes, marvelous show. I always thoroughly enjoy hearing that cannon fire.
  20. Yeah, that yellow is just plain icky. It might be worth my money to hire a customizer and have it painted blue.
  21. My God, man, I would kill for a VF-1S Max.
  22. What the hell...? That's absurd. I can only hope that they've had some kind of communications breakdown with Takara.
  23. Speaking of PT Cruisers, I'd personally love to see Skids as one. Wonder who the Neon will be...?
  24. I'll admit that I've always liked the Alpha and wished I had one. But for $80.00, though...? Nope. I'll just bide my time until I see the price drop significantly.
