  1. I like that fact that he's holding the entire kit from its ankle without any issue. That is by FAR the weakest point in the official Metal Build Freedom that I own.
  2. Latest addition. Not that big a fan of Transformers, but I am a huge fan of high quality diecast robots.
  3. I think Mechwarrior is a good example here. Cool robot designs that are super rigid.
  4. Hmm. Not seeing the Crossbone in this image. Didn’t like it or is it somewhere else? If there was one more that I would recommend getting it would be the Amatsu Mina. Nothing wrong with the Blue or Red Astrays. They’re just getting re-issued soon.
  5. It's fine. Cleaning/dusting gets really tedious especially with large lego sets or anything that has sharp edges. I was curious if you had a better solution that minimized dusting via humidifier/air purifier/cleanroom environment that worked. Keeping things behind glass or some kind of display case isn't always possible. Even the act of cleaning can scratch my stuff which I don't like.
  6. I have to upvote any Spaceballs reference.
  7. Metal Builds aren’t nearly as difficult to get as Macross items. If it’s a tamashi web exclusive Use FromJapan. If it’s open to all then there’s a variety of places you could try: Japan sellers: Hobby Link Japan, AmiAmi, AnimeExport, Nippon-Yasan, Nin-Nin Game Hong Kong: DenDenHobby, GK Gubdam Kit US Websites: USAGundam, bigbadtoystore, chosenprime, Entertainment Earth, toy dojo
  8. Off topic a bit but I'm excited to see your review of Star Saber. I'm not much of a transformers fan, but the build quality of these things are amazeballs. I'm very impressed with the red Drift I picked up and how well it holds up against Bandai's metal builds and metal composite fix. I dare to say the quality may even surpass Bandai on this line. I'm also glad they aren't pumping these things out that quickly. My wallet couldn't handle it.
  9. Yes. There's a lot of twisting and turning that you can do at that joint to setup the wings exactly the way you want. It feels scary at first so be careful.
  10. I'd be all over that and would even have a place for it (replacing my HiRM). It probably doesn't need to be said but please be careful around the wing joints of your unit. They're both tiny and super tight.
  11. General looseness in the waist and knees. It's annoying but not too much of a deal breaker for me. There's no way I'd ever display her without the stand (unless I had her in a kneeling position). She's too prone to falling over. I certainly hope they do better with the tolerances on Unit-02
  12. Same. My first edition EVA-01 has issues with the legs (like my Astraea-F) I hope the second release turns out better. I'm not ordering another. Just hope the next release is improved.
  13. It's basically a repaint of the Astraea-F but the joints on the Proto-GN type feel tighter and more consistent. The -F felt a bit too floppy for my liking particularly in the knees and hip joints. I don't have that problem with my Proto-GN.
  14. I’m don’t understand what you’re talking about regarding the hands. It has articulated hands similar to the Vf-1J. I haven’t researched the MSRP of the missiles. But so would imagine 10000 yen is the aftermarket price. You should be able to get them again in the summer at regular MSRP plus proxy fees.
  15. Beautiful fun pictures there @SuperHobo! I would have never attempted poses like that if you didn’t make me aware of them. Excellent review.
  16. Heh, not sure if this is sarcasm anymore after you’re YF-21 comment. I missed out on getting the SoC version of this. I’m SO looking forward to a DX size version! I just wish I had gotten the other DX SoC’s when they were still available.
  17. Holy Crap. $320 is a GREAT price for this. I think $280 is MSRP which was exclusive to Japan and aftermarket goes for $400-$500. I think I bought mine at a scalpers price of $380 thinking I'd NEVER see anything less than that due to it's exclusiveness. Glad to see this is being offered in the US now.
