Agreed. He's a bit short for 1/60 and could arguably be too short for 1/72 unless you care about figures fitting into the vehicles. 138mm at 1/72 scales out at 9.936m and hes just able to fit in the Glaug when the Glaug is sized correctly for 1/72. Damn you anime magic! Damn you to hell! - Brett

For those who were curious, here's a quick size comparison with the hastily cleaned up and assembled Kamujin kit next a 1/60 VF-1A, 1/72 ground crew and a 1/72 Regult Heavy Missile Carrier. Oh and a severed head - Brett
-
Ignacio is correct! That's the soldier kit tgat we will also be te releasing at some point. I'm in the middle of cleaning up the first casting and eill post some comparison pictures when I have him tacked together. I gave s 1/60 Vf-1 for those curious about how he scales out. - Brett

13.8 cm at 1/72. Kamjin is s pretty tall dude! - Brett

G'day, just a heads up that we will soon be re releasing the Captains excellent Kamjin figure shown below next to the soldier kit (also in 1/72 scale) Price should be around AUD $75 and will be available in a few weeks. Cheers, Brett

No model should languish on the Shelf of Doom. John used to provide a copy of the buck as a cutting template. Does your kit have that? If so and you are willing to send it down to me I can vac form replacements for anyone who wants them. I had to vac form visors for the Gnerl pilot and have some left over thermoform clear plastic. Cheers, Brett -

I love this style! I'm going to have to tackle it one day. It is such a trick of the eye and really looks like in jumped straight out of the anime. Too bad you can't hold onto it man and good luck with the sale. -Brett

Already got you Covered Spindrift: Pods! All the Regult types and Gnerl are available as well as heavy and light soldiers in the coming weeks. Also a future release is the Glaug! - Brett

RTKF 1/72 "Legult" Build Ups
Return To Kit Form replied to Return To Kit Form's topic in The Workshop!
Thanks Derex! Haha yeah thanks. The base needed a pop of colour and the stop sign added a little humour to a pretty grim scene. The scout is a completely different kit to the rest of the line up. You can see the difference between the normal Regult and the scout kit here: - Brett -
There are still loads of VF-31 variants to be milked (Supers + VF-31E) yet so it'll be a while before we see a brand new subject. By then the next iteration of Macross will probably be out. I also think Bandai are more likely to make an armoured VF-31. I doubt we will ever see a new battroid from Hasegawa. The last one was the VF-0, though if they do I suspect it would probably be the armoured Vf-1 since they can reuse a bunch of molds. Just my opinions of course - Brett
-
Agreed, I had one of the resin kits and it wasn't great. I don't think we will see companies compete for the limited Macross hobby dollar. If you look you don't see Bandai doing non tranforming 1/72 scale. It looks like it is much more of a collaboration effort these days for where each company tackles a different subject (or variation of the same subject i.e. transforming) without competition, so I am pretty sure that the wave VF-4 is going to be it. With that in mind I wouldn't be surprised if the VF-171 is next. There should be a bit of demand for it after Frontier and delta with loads of variants. - Brett

A weapon set? Really after how much the charged for the base kit? I'll bet they charge 2500 yen for couple of poorly rendered reaction missiles and AA-1s. This Aussie is frowning pretty hard right now. .. - Brett
