  1. Well that sure explains why I haven't seen it yet then. Its a model I sure hope you have plans to make and remember every good Alpha NEEDS a Beta. Carl
  2. Here is the mention of the Alpha that caught my eye... now I just NEED to see what he saw. Carl
  3. WOW!!! Just found this thread again. You most certainly ARE the Mike I thought you were. Earlier in this thread someone meantioned the Alpha.... were is it? I must see... Carl
  4. WOW!!!! That is amazing. I must ask... are you Michael Blackbourn? If so we've emailed before but the last time I think was back in May when you were showing me another amazing animation. It's so cool that you are still working with these models. I can't wait to see what you will do with them next. Do you mind if I post the link for the animation you shared with me back in May? I'll host it on my site if you are still worried about the bandwidth hit. I also must ask... do you have a Legioss or Tread model in the works? If so please share. Carl
  5. On the off chance D'Stance is there could you pick up their YF-21 for me? If you bought several I'm sure you'd have no problem selling them. And please take pics of any Mospeada stuff you see as well. Carl
  6. Very cool info. Thanks. Now that I see it I have seen those SW-XAI pics before. For some reason I don't think I ever knew it was an IHP kit. Believe me that's very common. I've tried contacting them several times myself and only briefly years ago did I have indirect contact with them. My guess is these are kits they made specifically for those magazine shoots. IHP has done alot of that. For example, this kit never saw a production run: They also made a very nice VT-1 kit that I can't seem to locate a picture of at the moment that never saw a production run. I wish they had left their old web page up. They took down alot of good stuff when they became Liquide Stone. Thanks again for all the info. If you ever prove me wrong PLEASE let me know. I'd love to get my hands on those kits as well. Carl
  7. Is that what this is? I wasn't familiar with the Scheeblume and I have several IHP kits so I went digging here on MW and found the above. I must have missed it the first time. Is that really an IHP kit? Must know more... Carl
  8. WOW!!! I wish I knew how to do something like that. Very nice work. Carl
  9. Thanks for all the input guys. I still wouldn't mind trying to pick up the DVD though. Anyone outside the US willing to help with that? If so PM me... Thanks, Carl
  10. Anyone here seen this yet? http://www-fi3.starwreck.com/ I've read several very good things about it and I was debating about simply ordering the DVD as opposed to trying to download 554Mb. However to be honest their ordering page is Greak to me: http://www-fi1.starwreck.com/dvd/ Actually I assume its Finnish but that doesn't help me much as I don't see Finnish listed here: http://babelfish.altavista.com/ Anyone know of another good translation site I could use? If you've seen this is it worth getting the DVD? Carl
  11. Keeps getting better and better. Very nice work. Carl
  12. WOW!!! Why is it every time I check out this thread I have to pick my jaw up off the floor? The city looks much better. I really like the shot from the park. I also see you put the building I liked back however I think I see 4 copies of it around the city. You never cease to amaze, Carl
  13. By the way, I really liked what I saw of this building too. I like the curves and what looks like a helipad on top. Did you remove it? I don't see it in the last set of pictures. I also like how in this picture the shorter buildings help break up the space between the skyscrapers. Even though most of the buildings are less detailed I think it is better spacing wise. Carl
  14. Well these give me the sense that the buildings are too densely packed, with maybe not enough variation in the size of the buildings. I don't have a 10th of the skill you do so take this as just me trying to be helpful. Personally I think it might be best to start with the street layout you want for your city. From the street layout mark the green areas, the residential areas, the shopping areas, etc. A city isn't just 40+ story skyscrapers. I think streets, cars, a park with trees, a few departments stores with large parking lots, schools, and the sign of a residential area would help alot with making the size of everything look better. Just my 2 cents, Carl
  15. Wow!!! Simply amazing... I don't know what else to say. Carl
  16. He has... here: http://home.comcast.net/~nsknews/SV...hCompressed.AVI and here: http://home.comcast.net/~we-shoppe/SV-513tries.avi I can't wait to see more... Carl
  17. Nice... Is this the one Noel had up on eBay? Carl
  18. Dimes sure aren't what they used to be. Carl
  19. Me too... Captn, I must say even being down here in Mississippi I've already thought about making the trip to Montreal. However I already know what the wife would say. The offer to compensate in kit form I find very very appealing. There is a subject I've always wanted to try and get you to model one of these days (besides the Legioss and Beta and yes I still dream about seeing those some day). But aside from the wife I'm afraid if I ever had that built-up VF-1 Valkyrie + booster of yours in my hands I'd forget all about St. Louis. Carl
  20. Is this the one we've seen photos of before? If not I'd like to see pics. I'm a big fan of your work. Carl
  21. I think they had planned on or would like to attending more WF events. At least that is the feeling I get from what little feedback I've gotten from them. I'm not sure what's keeping them from coming to more. Carl
  22. The same is true for Macross. I think the license limits them to 20 kits per year which for WF comes to 10 kits per event. Carl
  23. I think they were about 3000yen at the event. Not sure of that at the moment, I should have the exact figure somewhere. The going price on Yahoo Japan seems to be in the 5000yen to 10000yen range or about $50 to $100. Carl
  24. WOW!!! My jaw is on the floor. I can't wait to see more. Carl
  25. Both of mine came from Yahoo Japan. You might also be able to get them at furture Wonder Festival events however I don't think HRG had a booth at the last two. Does any one know if HRG has a web page? You might also be able to contact them directly. Carl
