It's a high quality white resin. Are you familiar with resin kits? I'd recomend not treating it as you would a toy. Carl
-
Yes, both kits are exactly the same. Will yours be variable? Have you shared any pictures of your work so far? I'd like to see... Carl

This is the VR-41 that I don't have yet. 1:18 Here is a pic of HRG's VR-38. Which I don't think has actually been released yet. This is from the last Winter Wonder Festival catalog. However I was told HRG was a no show because they failed to get the kit licensed. Enjoy, Carl
-
Thanks for the info Noel. Do you have any idea how many they sold at the Summer 2002 Wonder Festival? I'm guessing no more then 20 but I assume it could have been much less then that too. Just curious, Carl

The kit on the right is another kit that I got in the mail yesterday. Looks like another kit maker that completely redesigns their labels for each event. Anyone know which event the one on the left is from? I don't. Enjoy, Carl

Yes and no. Let me explain. At the one event I'm aware these were sold at they were sold without fast packs. The kit pictured in my first post doesn't have a fast pack. However D'Stance did later make fast packs for this kit. There are pictures of it here: http://park1.wakwak.com/~jasshy/yf21.html But I'm not aware of this kit ever being sold with fast packs or of a fast pack upgrade kit being offered. That said, I'm not certain we've seen the last of D'Stance. I've been trying for 3 years to get a kit from them and I haven't given up yet. If I'm ever lucky enough to get one I'll certainly be happy to offer as many photos as you want. How is your 1:48 YF-21 coming along? Any photos of it? Carl

Since I mentioned my YF-19 here is a pic: It just came in the mail today. These are the only 2 macross kits I'm aware of with the Liquid Stone name on them, not counting Liquid Stone = IHP. Enjoy, Carl

Did a little digging. D'Stance sold these at the Summer 2002 Wonder Fest for 23000yen. Noel at one time had some pictures of that event here: http://www.blackaces.per.sg/summer/summer21.html Noel, if you see this. Is that report still up on the web in another location? If so could you point me to it again? If not could you post the pictures that were on the above page of that report again? I'd like to have a copy of them. Thanks... Carl P.S. There is some more info here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=92

To my knowledge D'Stance only sold these at one event a couple years ago. My guess is there are only 10 or 20 out there. However, take take the Liquid Stone YF-19 for example. I know there are 20 of those kits out there. Atleast 6 of those 20 have been resold, 4 on Yahoo Japan, 1 on eBay, and the other one is sitting next to me as I type this. And that is just in the last 6 months or so. To date I've only seen the D'Stance kit resold once between Yahoo Japan and eBay and that's been a couple years atleast. To me atleast it seems the D'Stance is alot harder to find. Carl

Just wanted to share some pictures I've come across this week. Just for the record this kit isn't mine. They are from an anonymous owner. Enjoy, Carl

I finally was able to see this animation. Great job. Carl

Well the latest version of quicktime needs Windows 2000 or XP. I have Windows ME at home. I'll give this a shot a work on Monday. I think I have XP there. Thanks, Carl

Nice review... thanks. May I ask what the story is behind the clear guy in the back left hand corner of that picture? I don't check this thread nearly often enough it would seem but I don't think I've seen one of those before. Carl

WOW!!! I guess you did. Good catch there Dr. Paragon. No rush Ken. Just send them when you send the directions, screews, etc. that you are still working on pulling together. Will there be a parts list with the directions? Looks like I need one. Where is a cross eyed smilie when you need one? Carl

What happed to the ads section?
wwwmwww replied to wwwmwww's topic in MW Site News & Member Feedback
Found it: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/ads/_ads_menu.htm However the link on the main page is now gone. Any way to get it put back? Thanks, Carl -
There used to be a section here at MacrossWorld that had original ads for many of the old model kit lines etc. I think it used to be listed on the main page right above books. I even found a few broken links to it elsewhere on the site. Like this one: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/ads/ads_models.htm Did it get moved and I'm just over looking it or did it get taken down for some reason? Thanks, Carl

Well, I've tried this on 3 different computers now and I can't get this to play on any of them. Are you using a standard codec? Carl

Here is the picture rkiyo sent me. Here is what he had to say about it. I learn something new everyday. Carl

WOW!!! Great work, can't wait to see more. Carl

Sorry it took me so long to get back to this. I was side tracked a bit this weekend due to Wonderfest releated stuff. And yesterday when I went to go take pictures my camera battery was dead. It's charged now so here goes... Enjoy, Carl

WOW!!! One of these days I have to hit him up for a model of the LandMaster. But I'm also hoping to someday see his Legioss completed (even if just for himself). And then I want to see a Tread built for it. Ok... I'm dreaming again. No need to be in a rush to wake me up guys, Carl

Guys, I was digging around in the model section here and fould the above link. I wasn't aware Switchblade had made a VF-1 kit. I see that bold black line seperating the top part of the page from the bottom right hand corner. Is that whole page Switchblade kits or are the ones in the bottom right from another kit maker? If so who? Thanks, Carl

Rare 1/72 Event Only Macross Robotech Glaug Resin
wwwmwww replied to Mechleader's topic in Model kits
Thanks again Noel. Did the fast pack version at this WF also come in a bag? Just curious... Carl -
I like that gray one better too. Personally I'm not that into kits that are this highly stylized. That painted one makes me think it's about to start break dancing and is winding up for a spin on its head from which it will pop up and say "You've been served." That's just not the feeling I'm after from a YF-19. Switch Blade also made a fairly stylized YF-19 too that I passed on. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models/wf/sbyf19.htm I now wish I hadn't as it was a variable kit and that makes up for the stylized aspect to me. But to each their own and I'm certainly not intending to knock Kantogakuindaigaku-Mokeidourakuka kits. That gray one conveys a very nice dramatic pose. Carl
