  1. I assume that's directed at me regarding my D-Stance related comment. If so no... I'm happy to let Graham have that title. My news isn't earth shattering or anything and no one would be after my head if I were to say it now. I just don't want to say too much until I'm 100% certain as to what I'm about to say is true. I should know one way or the other very very soon so I'm not going to put my foot in my mouth before then. That's all... Carl
  2. Thanks for the info Graham. Was it a 100% internal job or did they get any help? If some outside help was involved can you say anything about who and maybe what else they've done? Just curious... Carl
  3. For a change I have something I want to say and can not. At least not yet. I really do hope to be able to share my news soon though. Carl
  4. Just found this thread and I'm up to page 3 so far. Boy... how do I miss this stuff? Anyways may I ask who the sculpt is by? Are the folks from I.H.P/Liquid Stone involved? If this has already been answered... just disregard, Carl
  5. H*@L YES!!!! I might even get 3 or 4 sets so I could do the blue, green, red and shadow versions. As for features and details... this is perfect: Perfect Legioss And I trust the captian could do an equally stellar job with the Tread. Carl
  6. WOW!!! Now that is what I call a nice collection Mike. Thanks for all the great pictures, Carl
  7. I'll second that statement. If the captian were to make a Tread/Beta it would need a captian made Legioss/Alpha to mate with. I say forget the 1/48 imai tread and do it the right way. Carl
  8. Exactly, what a bunch of apefaces 418411[/snapback] Well I guess I'm glad I held off then. I was rather certain that if the Beta did get released it would have to be released with a new Alpha as from what I've read there is no attachment point for the beta on the current Alphas. Makes me wonder what's to become of this prototype? Carl
  9. WOW!!! Another great SDF-1. You really have talent. Keep up the great work. Carl
  10. I'm pretty much in agreement with Mr March. Will there be any CG "magic" taking place when your transform your model from fighter to gerwalk to battroid mode? Personally I'd prefer the aim to be to avoid all "magic", don't let parts change shape or move through each other during the transformation. If you can pull that off and keep everything looking good then I'd say put the gunpod as high as you can or flush with the surface of the arms. If the gunpod is intersecting the arms in the upper position then I'd say lower it. Carl
  11. Thanks for the explanation. I'll defer to your aesthetic judgement then in that case as everything looks great. Do you still have any of your renderings where you tried the 3 doors? I'm now curious to see what that looked like. Thanks again, Carl
  12. WOW!!! Just finding this thread again. I'm so glad to see it alive and well again. You've got the best CG SDF-1 and VF-1 models I've seen PERIOD!!! Keep up the great work. The only thing that looks off to me is still the rear landing gear bay doors. There should be 3 doors for each bay and it looks like yours only has 2 doors. Is this a TV series vs DYRL thing? I was thinking both had the 3 doors on the rear landing gear bays but I'm not an official expert. See the pics I posted back on page 5 of this thread if I lost anyone. Carl
  13. Yes, its fits in the TRON universe. It's what I call a light flyer and I hope to make an animation about it some day. It can also hook up with an original lightcycle and become a side car. Enjoy, Carl
  14. All I get is "Error: Thread specified does not exist.". What's up? Carl
  15. Ok... just found some of Noel's pictures here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=12726 But I'm still pretty sure I've seen some higher quality pictures of this kit completed elsewhere so I'm still looking. Thanks, Carl
  16. All, I'm looking for pictures of any of these kits completed. I know at one point it time Shawn had a page here devoted to the Kip Proto Garland kit. We saw an original one sell on Yahoo Japan for about $800 and we'd grapped the pictures and he started a page about it that contained those pictures as well as scans from a magazine that had an article about it with several completed pictures. I don't remember the magazine but it was probably either Hobby Japan or Model Graphix. Anyways... this was all 5 or 6 years ago but I'm looking for those pictures now. Noel, if you see this do you have any pictures of the 'GR-2 Garland Mass Production Type' kit completed? I know I've seen some before but I can't seem to find them now. If ANYONE has pictures of a completed Kip Hurgund kit you will officially amaze me as that is something I know I haven't seen before. In fact the only kit I've seen is this one. Thanks, Carl
  17. What is that from? I don't think I've seen it before. Carl
  18. I pulled that picture from a Yahoo Japan auction a very long time ago. As I recall that's a scan from book or magazine that was for sale. I'm not sure if you are looking at a complete page there or not. I assume "crab sashimi" is the Japanese in the lower part of the image? If that's correct it may refer to an image that is below this one and not seen in the scan. Anyone know what 2D World IV is? That may be the name of the book this image is in. Carl
  19. Here is a "ship" I made some time ago and I'm not sure if I've posted it here before or not. Its not from the Macross universe but I'm willing to bet most here do know what universe it would fit in rather well. And I certainly agree. Making stuff like this is fun. Enjoy, Carl
  20. I just love this thread. I wish we could come up with a way to keep you from ever stopping your work on these models. Oh I so want to see the whole first episode remade with your models. Carl
  21. I've got this... http://www.socheapithurts.com/com200001.html And on it is one episode of what it calls Speed Racer Y2K but I've also seen it called the 1997 Japanese re-make. Looking around on the web I see references to it coming out on Nickelodeon in 2002 but to be honest I don't know if that ever happened or not. If it did I missed them. Anways is this re-make available on DVD yet? If not here in the US what about Japan? Quite curious, Carl
  22. That one made me think of this one... This was first talked about here I believe... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...opic=12068&st=0 But the links are dead... One of them made it into the Way Back Machine... http://web.archive.org/web/20041106210202/.../newpage44.html but the pictures weren't saved. Arg... I hope I saved these somewhere. If not anyone here save them? Looks like this is yui1107's friend's page/project and that account was active yesterday. Time to send a PM. Carl
  23. Oh I'm just a big fan... I wish I had time to do more rembling but life has this way of getting more and more in the way over time... I guess a wife, kids, and a job has a way of doing that. Thanks for the kind words, Carl
