    All good, I get that some people need their Macross fix. Here I was, impressed at how good all the HMR releases are and surprised that the non-Macross ones are in many ways better and it just sounded like an ignorant statement for someone to call them junk.

    Anything that you don't collect is junk, LOL ok. Collecting toys is serious business and how dare companies take longer than some people want them to put something out and how dare they put effort into something some people don't collect. Anyways, that HMR VF-1A Hikaru I recently opened is pretty fantastic. I originally had no desire for more valks of lesser quality and smaller scale but they really are a lot of fun. HMR Q-Raus will be great to replace the RD thing I have as a stand in for now.

    The non Macross releases are some of the best figures to come from HMR or any other toy line. They are a great representation of more obscure mecha with the same (or might I say more) passion put into them as the Macross stuff. A very welcome addition to my collection and a testament to how great the HMR line is to anyone who has them!

    Wow, thanks! I would have thought to do it the other way around so thanks for the warning! Ah, I missed that part. Lazy reading on my part. Thanks! I will be taking pics and posting as soon as I get around to opening and then the long process of adding all the small parts.

    Thanks for the compliments and recommendations! I've never had to use decal softener before and this shouldn't be an issue since it is just a smooth flat surface. I think the issue was just me half assing the job. If I redo it, I will post new pics to see the difference. Looking at it again, I think it may benefit from a topcoat if I do redo it so I'll see how it all turns out.

    2 Different things. I don’t see any HMR VF-31s to tell Bandai those would be blockbusters. If anything, people buying any of the ET VF-2s at any price says a whole lot.

    I shop at all the major stores and get the pros and cons of them all. On an expensive item like DX Valks, I save around $20 or more at NY and given how much I buy, it adds up to multiple free Valks a year and that is better than any insurance to me. I don’t abuse HLJs policy like what was mentioned before but just suggesting an honest communication with them, especially if they are already on the verge of cutting your account, nothing to lose. I get they don’t have the same policies there but maybe if they see enough reason to be competitive with prices, it will help us, the consumers.
